@@laudarevsonhunthmmm, nice try, but that’s not the story according Eddie and Jimmy. Jimmy went on to play for Tina Turner among several other great artists. Eddie was very proud of and supportive of Jimmy in his career, often bragging about Jimmy and his many accomplishments after their years of playing music together.

I was playing bass in a band back in the early 80's and we rented a rehearsal studio in Burbank, California. This was a high-end studio where big names bands came to rehearse. Right next to us was another band setting up to practice, but their door was closed so we didn't know who they were. Their drummer started playing a very familiar beat and as soon as their guitarist started playing the lead riff I knew it was Eddie Money's band! Playing "Two Tickets to Paradise!" My band mates and I just sat there listening to Eddie's band jam away. Later that night they took a break and their door opened and we meet Eddie and his band. Some of the best guys you could ever want to meet! Thanks for the memories! RIP Eddie...

Hadn't thought about this song for a long time....heard it on the fm oldies station on the way home from work......wanted to hear it again to recall some memories.....one thing about old songs; when you hear them they can bring back both good and bad memories....... About 35 years ago, a good friend was diagnosed with a terminal disease and always wanted to go somewhere special but couldn't afford it. I bought two tickets and paid all the expenses for lodging, meals, etc in advance and went over to their house. Took out my "Eddie Money" album and played this song as loud as I could.......presented them with the two tickets and everyone was happy and crying......they are both deceased now...... but felt special and brought some joy in their lives ......thank you Eddie Money for recording this

Jimmy Lyon once, as a very young gifted player, was in a band called Legs Diamond. If any of you know who the fictional movie character is, Legs Diamond learned to handle a gun in each hand with equal accuracy. I was lucky enough to know Jimmy when I was in High school. I recorded him playing with 2 old friends. A few years later the guy was playing Arenas. His fretting fingers had formed into little callous hammerhead. That is how much he practiced and played. Pretty cool guy. Hope he is well and happy.

Money took his shirt off on an American Airlines flight out to Tucson Arizona 2001 for his July 4th show, signed it 'Nova don't stop' and gave it to me, after we were both yapping on the plane... ok mostly him, he was filled with excitement..Still have shirt his DNA sweat.. -and all

May the earth rest lightly upon you, Eddie. I will always argue that this is the best pop/rock song ever, and it is even better live.
