You will always be remembered every time I listen to Two Tickets To Paradise. Love that song. R.I.P. Eddie and thank you for giving such pleasure through your music ❤️
My graduation year 84! I miss Eddie I really liked his music and his humor in his music videos. I’m 53, and the 80’s were the funniest decade ever!!!!!!!! Rest In Heaven Eddie ♥️Paradise ♥️
Two Tickets to Paradise and Take Me Home Tonight are 2 of my favorites from this man God Bless You Eddie Money and God Bless You Mr. Clark RIP Money Man and World's Oldest Teenager
Eddie Money was a classic New Yorker - treated everyone well and loved to talk to people. This midwesterner lived in Queens for a second, and you’ll never meet nicer, more down to Earth people.
@@mindcontrol67An overuse almost cost him the ability to walk. It’s why he walked with a limp most of his life. Thankfully he got clean. Enjoy Heaven, Eddie.
I met Eddie Money, after an outdoor show at the 'Gulfstream(horse-race) Trak'- it was a meet and greet. When my turn came to meet Eddie, I told him how much I enjoyed the show and Thanked him for the music. He was very kind and cordial and thanked me, that I came on out to the show. I could of asked Eddie for his autograph, but instead, I felt compelled to share with him, so I handed him what I purchased at the Horse Trak for him, it was a Ticket for an upcoming race in one hour, the 4th Race and selected the #4-Horse to place. When I handed Eddie the ticket, he thanked me and said to me (something I'll never forget) "My MaMa always told me to bet the#4 horse in the 4thRace" And to Eddie's Family, you already Know that "Money can't buy you Love." But God's love has bought and paid for your DaD's (and husband) special place in Heaven. Thanks for letting me share, Jerry
I was fortunate enough to meet Eddie in '97 backstage at a show in Houston, Tx. We talked for quite awhile and he treated me like I had been his best friend for life. Great wonderful man and the real deal. Thank you Eddie RIP. WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!
I used to listen to this show every Tuesday night back in the late 80's called Rockline when I was in high school. They had many featured artists from Pete Townsend to Lou Reed to, Brian May and Jimmy Page. Once they had Eddie Money, and I have to say out of all the guests they had on, Eddie Money was the nicest & most down to earth. He was genuinely interested in every caller, asking them questions about them not the other way around. RIP... thanks for the memories!
Money was 35 here, it's interesting that Dick Clark says 24-35 wasn't his typical audience, I'd think at least everyone in their 20s would've liked basic 80s rock and roll.
Damn, another one of the band leader greats now departed in recent year. First Bowie, then Petty, followed by Dr. John, and now Eddie Money. These truly talented musicians are Rock -n- -Roll legends who's music will live forever!!!

So natural and honest......easy to approach and talk to......a real great fella Eddie------so nice to meet you in Cincinnati in 99 for a summer concert which was Perfect.....and meeting you was such a plus....the hug and signed shirt a real extra bonus.......rest easy now......you were the best you could ever be......you finally cashed in your tickets to paradise....!!!!!!
Sad to hear of his passing. Even though I listened to mainly Metal 80's music at that time, I still enjoyed listening to Eddie Money. Something about his voice that drew me to his music. Anybody know what the name/maker of that small lite blue guitar @1:09? I love that guitar. R.I.P. Eddie. Keep on Rockin' upstairs Brother.
I met his best man from his wedding....years ago (late 80's), he asked if the Ozarks were a nice place to live...he still lives there to this day... he wrote alot of songs for singers including Ed... dont remember the song names now...
My favorite period of Eddie. Love the Where the Party CD and Club Michelle. It was the first time I saw him in concert. This was probably shortly after that. I saw one of the first dates of this Tour at Cobo Hall December 29, 1983. With Saga opening up.
RIP Eddie! You rocked it here and we thank you! Now, rock out in Heaven! I know you were proud of being a Jersey boy, and Jersey's gotta be proud of you! God bless you with peace.
This is 2 years before the song "Take me home tonight" So New Yorker here and any American can see that. Loved Eddie Money. Gen Xer's grew up on his best stuff.
For a black woman/man, to say anything nice about a "white man" in today's culture is shocking. May your courage, honesty, and kind words, bring you a life of happiness!
The Righteous Brothers did a song in 1974 called "Rock And Roll Heaven". Now that band has two more members. RIP Eddie and Ric, and no doubt Dick Clark is up there too.
There was NO BETTER than Dick Clark! No one today comes close. I don’t know why some network or site doesn’t follow this format for interviewing artists after their performance.
+ku4uv he was and is as bad as they come. He was blowing up big and it synced up with my teenage years. Saw him in the fox theatre in 79 and he was strong as zoo dirt.
Seriously here's the answer,....Rock's original intent was to detach white cultured societies from the christian fundamentalist mindset in America....After 50 plus years it has accomplished this mission for the most part. American demographics have been changed and rock has out lived it's usefulness. Was classic rock music better than the music of today ? You bet..It had to be in order to addict the sophistication of the white generations it was targeting. Today's level of sophistication is drastically different due to the dilution in today's society ( the blending of many cultures of who's main opponent was white christian fundamentalists). What ever was popular at any moment has always had more to do with an agenda than anyone's personal tastes..
I recall seeing the evidence of Eddie's struggles in his appearance and behaviors. It's easy to dismiss others based on what we see or hear. In hindsight I should have guessed he had a drug and alcohol problem, amongst others as well, as we all do. It's also easy to view such addictions as character issues, as if one chooses to be an addict. The choices that lead to addictions are rarely so clear cut. Imagine the lifestyle of being in one's 20's with sudden wealth and fame. This is a time where we all think we're indestructible, and our peers still reign at the top of our list, and who these peers are and what they are doing is something that most all of us would end up doing, too. I've learned not to be so quick to judge. Remember that old adage that says "believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see". Like Mom tried to tell us: "walk a mile in their shoes, first". "Be kind. Everyone you meet is carrying a heavy burden." (Ian MacLaren)
He is so goofy and never lost his New York accent. He seems to have stayed humble and regular. Love seeing clips that I've never seen before.
R.I.P. Eddie. You were the real deal. Wish nothing but the best going forward for your family and loved ones.
You will always be remembered every time I listen to Two Tickets To Paradise. Love that song.

Don’t forget Ric Ocasek from the 80’s band the Cars whom died a couple of days after Eddie Money
Hell yeah
