Great Fun ! Loved it ! Miss Harry Belafonte ! He was a great entertainer and Person ! RIP Dear Harry !❤
I used to listen to his record albums growing up as a small child of 6 or 7 years old and still love his songs ! Need to look for his records at thrift stores ! Hope I find some of his old records !
If you have a library card that let's you use Freegal, much of Belafonte's songs are available on that application. The music is DRM free & you own the songs you download. I think you're allowed to download up to 5 songs per week.
Harry Belefonte (born Harold Belanfontaine Jr.), is one beautiful man. I adore his voice, sexiness, looks, sense of humor and the energy he puts into his characters and his stage performances. I also admire his humanitarianism. He gives so much of himself to people. He lives such an unselfish life. I adore every bit of this historical, intellegent, renaissance man.
Well said
Facts he is just one of a kind. His spirit is beautiful he is my inspiration. 😁❤️
Faleceu hoje, 26/032023 aos 97 anos❤
E sabia da sua sensualidade.
Década de 60 deixando aflorar nesse show.
My mother knew Mr. Harry Belafonte personally, she took me to one of his concerts when I was a little girl.
Sure he knew a lot of women “personally”!!! Haha
No offense, not calling your mom a groupie or anything. Just bet he did lol
I think WE know it! Whew!
Hello, must be great..., never saw Him live, but He was often in 🇩🇪 The King of Calypso... 😔 Rest in Peace💞
Harry's activities among the whole society of humanity is not measureble. He worked endlessly that perpetuum mobile - man ❤️ never was without a WORD.

I love Harry Belafonte he is just the whole package. I love his accent. 😁
So do I......!!!!
I have admired him for many things- his voice- grace- activism-calmness when in a discussion about injustice giving people of many
Opinions to speak and then giving them examples of injustice. His friendship with Dr. Martin Luther King helped him to continue to work
on behalf of justice for his entire life. A life well lived!! Thank you for sharing your beauty with us. Rest in Peace 🙏🏽❤️🌈🌹

Harry rest in peace with the Lord. The greatest legend. He fought for human rights along side with Martin Luther King.
Thanks to the "Internet" and "RUclips" that i can watch a live recording of a evergreen classic that grows fresh with every year.I was 6 years old when this song was sung and still enjoying listening to it in 2014!
It's absolutely mind boggling that we are able to view such wonders. Thanks for posting RIP
What a showman! Flirting end masse with just 2 lines!! Respect respect respect
Harry is one my all-time favorite singers who looks black, speaks like an Olde English lord, and is only rivaled by Bob Marley with his island heart and soul and impolitical correctness.
He was black but those days standards. He is black. Its a social construct
OMG what a beautiful voice and countenance. So gifted and handsome!
Spectacular ‼️At his best.
Paul Gleitman @
You are all correct in your comments. I saw him in Harkem, New York where he was born. He performed also at Carnegie Hall. Met him at a concert in Trinidad. Saw him perform in Jamaica also. HARRY! MAY GOD RECEIVE YOU INTO HIS LOVING ARMS😂😂😂

Goodness.. Mr Belafonte was, is, and will always be the most handsome gentleman for me..! What an amazing man indeed ⚘⚘⚘
Many years ago, one of my eighth grade classmates so adored Harry Belafonte that she wrote a poem about his magnetism and vitality. When I heard the recording of him singing "Matilda" at Carnegie Hall, I understood her poem!

Yes, Mr. Belafonte is an amazing person!
Now dancing in our hearts 🥰
*Harry* says, "Women over 40! Sing now!"
LMAO!! NOT MUCH DIFFERENT IN 2020!
In the famous Carnegie Hall concert he tries a second time and one lone voice from the audience sings. Bless that lady, it was comedy gold.
Rest in peace God 's soldier for justice and equality. A soldier for peace and humanity. Our world was touched by his caring and kindness that will never be forgotten for years to come!!!!!!!!!
What a great live performance! He had a lot of energy on stage!
The audience totally ruins the song every time but it's all in good fun. 😂
What a showman.... absolutely amazing.
With Monica Zetterlund. Who are the other 2 men? Women over 40 lol. R.I.P Harry
The two men are the two Swedish comedians Hans Alfredson och Tage Danielsson.

"Women over forty!......Matilda, Matilda...." hahahaha. This is the epitome of a true old school all around entertainer and musician wrapped in one.
I'm wet and I'm a male. Mind you, I've been wet for quite a while now. Probably too long.
Sing along some more fans, such EPIC performances are immortal unforgettable indeed, Rest in peace beautiful monster, condolences the family
My dear Mother loved Harry's music. She had a studio version of Matilda, with the whistling, on vinyl. This video is impressive, despite, only offering a fragment of the lyrics, displaying Harry's showmanship, abroad!
Love you Harry Balafonte. Rest In Peace ❤️
He was a beautiful man in all senses.
Rest in power King.❤️

This record my parents bought home when I was a little child. Then I thought ha was en old man, Belafonte. Nor either I understood what he said when he talked in English. Now I think he looks like he is very young. Mama Mia - it is me. I have got older.
1927-2023
Quelle élégance, quelle classe et quelle intelligence, une autre époque…
I married matilda's granddaughter here in venezuela hahahaha a hug from venezuela brothers
RIP 2023.
Interesting that he was raised, mostly, in Harlem and yet he has this "accent." I wonder if he and Madonna were raised in the same place...? 😳
Most of childhood was spent in Jamaica. He was well trained as an actor and sometimes used multiple accents in one song.
Rest in power Legend!
Rest in peace

God! I love this man! I wish that his Emmy award winning TV special, "An Evening with Makeba & Belafonte", would be posted here or available on DVD.

Adieu l'artiste ❤😢
I love the way he engages the crown
😁😁😁👍👌👏 And that's, ladies and gents, is called a true entertainer and great musician!
I studied piano from an early age and even tho my mother exposed me to all kinds of music and artists sadly ,I was t too distracted by the music of my teenage years to appreciate all this man was as a singer ,entertainer , humanitarian and all around human being . Beautiful on the inside as well as such a handsome man. He certainly will be missed.
Mr. B. - May you RIP❤️
Hahaha wonderful performance.. may he R.I.P. Vale, Harry Belafonte...what a great man.
women over forty!!! :))) epic
Great music always nice
His Work was exactly for him. His touch was essential to mankind also With Martin Luther King and Belafonte was genious to make lyrics and he was a man With supple -lithe words❤️
Whao! I can't stop watchin Belafonte Matilda.this is comedy of our time.
Musicians overenjoyed in Sweden that they lost their keys.
Over 40yrs women probably were matildas at their prime time.
Bigspenders had a good show reason they spend big.
The two men with Belafonte never had any Matilda in their lives except Belafonte.
Scholarships struggled and are still struggling for life.
I love this piece.
Great song for peaceful amaizing
