Death is definitely inevitable- I don’t care how far advanced we become. We will all face it & should be thinking about where we’ll spend eternity. However, we can reverse the signs of aging - this is actually attainable
Amen 🙏🏿 🙏🏿 finally someone said the most important message, which is the power of the gospel, Jesus save, he die so that you and I will live, he who have Jesus Christ, shall not die, but have eternal life, we have a choice to choose were we will spend eternity, I urge you, to choose life eternal, Jesus in John ch11v25 "I am the resurrection and the life, he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live". Salvation is free come to know Jesus today, and you shall have eternal life, God bless you in Jesus mighty name 🙏🏿 🙏🏿 ❤😘.
Yep, even if we can stop the aging process, we can still be killed by violence, war, disease, natural disasters, etc. Some people might be lucky to live hundreds or even thousands of years, but eventually, they will be killed in some way.

I see what you are saying and maybe but not when you NEED to know these things. I know you are not suggesting ignoring age but I know some will perceive what you have said as that or even something even more off topic. Yes age is only a number. 👍
Absolutely agree indeed…..!!! However one cannot expect to continue eating the common American diet full of junk food. Loaded with refined sugars & playing couch potato. Plus expect to look n stay young forever obviously 🙄
This is absolutely amazing Sinclair and Tom. This interview is mind blowing. Thanks for sharing knowledge and your expertise to help everyone who listened to your program. Thanks again GB

Thanks Tom for a great job all together. But considering the immense expertise of your guest, I wish him more freedom in his talk than constant interruptions and your restrictive templates of questions. Love it Tom. How he did not allowed Dr David to talk on his level and bring the whole discussion to meaningful to normal people!! As always this is what makes whole conversation so engaging

If I’m not mistaken a female body has a certain amount of eggs that if don’t get fertilized the body releases each month with period. Once there is no more eggs there’s Nothing to release and here comes the menopause. That’s my understanding but I might be wrong.
@@mahgul8414 , I don't think it should be natural. The body shouldn't cause discomfort. I'm sure if more doctors or scientists studied it a relief for most women would be appreciated. My experience has been it's just a process and try hormone therapy! I decided this year at 54 to try natural supplements some have worked. And eventually they stop as our bodies change hormonal . I've talked to several women and many of them suffer in silence.
I literally was just going to suggest having David Sinclair on your show again because if anyone can solve longevity it is him!! and Tom I’m pretty sure you’ll get your wish of living longer if David Sinclair has anything to do with it!!!! I’m so glad you guys are doing this podcast .. while I love his lifespan podcast I find it easier to absorb information through Tom’s podcasts over the lifespan podcasts that I have recently been listening to. I haven’t listened to this one yet as I was overcome with joy and wanted to comment right away when I saw the two of you have gotten together again!!
When he said that information is best stored organically, I couldn't help but think that they are trying to create what we already are. This is super interesting!!
To the *incredible person* that's seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't over blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn the skills needed and get after it, all the keys to a happy life is in your hands. Keep pushing.
Let's also not factor out that in order to live longer, you need something to live FOR. Family / community and the like. Studies about the elderly people in Okinawa (amongst the oldest on the planet) show clearly that without their strong community, the "old folks" (who appear to strikingly youthful well into their 90s) would just have withered and died. Instead they meet up regularily, sing together, cook together etc. It's heartwarming to watch. (forgot where i saw the documentary thou...)

I've been on track with diet for about 4-5 years. I cold press Kale, Spinach, carrots, and celery, with moringa powder most days, followed by 1 meal around noon every day. It has transformed my life, I feel 25 at 59 years old. I do 100 pushups every other day, and at least 50 curls (20lbs) per arm other days. My main issue is drinking a lot of beer every day too, and I smoke cigarettes, and marijuana. I simply won't lose belly fat as long as I keep on with the beer. I do believe aging is controllable.
Now imagine you without the beer!!! I recently stopped doing drugs and drinking overall and it’s been fantastic. I was able to do it by outgrowing wanting it, instead of wanting to but not indulging, which makes all the difference.
I like fasting but was told by my MD and naturopath that women during child-bearing years should not fast more than 16 hours because of it's detrimental effects on our reproductive hormones. I can say that when I did OMAD I felt good but never got my period. So it's unfortunate that women cannot take advantage (to the same degree as men) in this anti-aging tactic. I'm also curious how Dr. Sinclair is able to meet his daily protein requirements on a mostly plant-based diet, because common plant sources of protein (pea, legumes, lentils, chickpeas, etc.) still don't have as much protein per gram as meat sources. Lastly, where does one get access to metformin in Canada?
I don't know; on my maternal side, my great grandfather and grandfather lived to 106, and on paternal side, my grandparents lived to 97+. My uncle at 82+ still climbs his rooftop. I have longevity in my blood. I just want to optimize my healthspan.
@@360.Tapestry My parents and siblings all have metabolic issues and diseases due to standard America diet. I tried to convince them to go low carb but to no avail.
First, i skipped most of the video as nothing new really. I heard the same from David one year ago. Just have a healthy lifestyle that's all we have as always been. Then the fact that he mentioned that gene therapy will be out of reach forever due to insane price tag, that really killed my hope and im in my late 30's. I have been following longevity trends almost 15 years now and frankly i feel like a serious life extention will not happen in my lifetime.
I have found that if you commit to only breathing through your nose, even when you work out, you will learn a few things. Also it would help to read “BREATH” by James Nestor. While doing a hundred jumping jacks in a row keep your mouth closed. At the end when you need O2 NOW use your diaphragm and intercostals together to fill your longs as full as possible. Then hold your breath for three seconds ( count) then exhale slowly. Repeat I have found I can have a quick recovery and breath normal after 30 seconds. I can now do 50 push-ups strait away without opening my mouth. Some swimmers are trained to swim a lap on one breath. See the Wim Hof Method for anything you might be Interested in to improve your cardiovascular system.
I sleep with my mouth taped up so that I never inhale while sleeping through my mouth. I wake up refreshed every morning ready to tackle the day. Solid 9 hours every night. The tape Is 3M Nexcare transpore flexible clear tape 1 inch.
We want to hear Dr. Sinclair talk, this guy Tom wants to hear himself sound smart and it takes away from the quality and education of the podcast. For future podcasts, advice, shut up and let the experts talk.

Before I began IF , once my hunger reached a certain level I became my body's "beach" ( rhymes with ditch, actually). Ever since I became a regular faster, even when not fasting regularly, it's as if I've shown my body that I'M the boss and hunger never feels really bad anymore , like it once did.
The key is to do intermittent fasting, very easy to do and exercise. Am 70 years old I weigh 190 5/10 I walk 5 miles 3 times a week.. I lift weights sometimes I do 80-hour days fast with water.. Dr. David Sinclair is amazing. Thank you for inviting him again.
My life has changed because of you tom! I have read 400 books & lost 60 pounds. As a form of gratitude I made a vIdeo on you. Thank you :)
Gosh! I never knew reading that much could make someone lose weight!
Yup , having wisdom is all we need
Yep, even if we can stop the aging process, we can still be killed by violence, war, disease, natural disasters, etc. Some people might be lucky to live hundreds or even thousands of years, but eventually, they will be killed in some way.
@@bigguy130 reason I don't care much about the flesh dying compared to spiritual death (eternal death)
@@bigguy130 i'm gonna be honest here. I am not too materialistic to the point of not wanting to ever let go of the stuff i own. I mean, i kind of don't want to, but if i have to it's okay. However.... i really, really fear death because i genuinely do not know what comes after it... i don't know if i will be a ble to think again, to have joy, i don't know if afterlife exists.... i really, really want it to be a thing, but i don't know if it is.. that's basically why it scares me so much
It just blows my mind how our body works and how we have learned so much about it!
If you just stare into David's gaze, you'll feel 10 years younger

Sinclair is obviously in love with his work, refreshing and a pleasure to watch.
Phenomenal!
Ps. I wish the audio volume was just a bit higher.
Didnt know this guy before.. now he is the number 1 person in the world i want to follow and see/watch everything
Damn it’s fascinating on one hand and really fucked up on the other hand what humans do to animals in labs. How cold and calm he was able to say “we gave the mouse glaucoma” it’s just a normal part of his day, damn.

I really hope we cure aging during my lifetime, Im 41 yrs old and really wish to avoid all the pain and suffering that comes with aging. Thank you David Sinclair for your efforts in this field of science. Curing aging will be the greatest achievement in human history ❤
I think age is a mind thing. I know it sounds weird, but if u don't worry about your age that helps not focusing on it. ❤
If that was true, the millions of people in history who also believed that wouldn't have died
@@themitchellbrothers it's one of the factors. Can't be the only one.
I see what you are saying and maybe but not when you NEED to know these things. I know you are not suggesting ignoring age but I know some will perceive what you have said as that or even something even more off topic. Yes age is only a number. 👍
Nah.....sorry.
Absolutely agree indeed…..!!! However one cannot expect to continue eating the common American diet full of junk food. Loaded with refined sugars & playing couch potato. Plus expect to look n stay young forever obviously 🙄
Great episode by Tom again that I'm watching with a cup of tea right now

Thanks Tom for a great job all together. But considering the immense expertise of your guest, I wish him more freedom in his talk than constant interruptions and your restrictive templates of questions. I liked your former episodes where you were more quiet and reciever than mediator of the conversetaion too actively.
I felt that way too for the first 10 min or so. But then he dialed the interruptions back. It seems like he wants to set the stage for his audience to understand the rudiments of a pretty complex subject.
Love it Tom. How he did not allowed Dr David to talk on his level and bring the whole discussion to meaningful to normal people!! As always this is what makes whole conversation so engaging
This interview is freaking wonderful! It'll help tons of people! Thank you Tom and thank you David for your service to the world!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Very informative!! I am looking for the day someone can explain why menopause exist and how to keep the body from experiencing it!!
It exists because once your body becomes too old to raise children there is no need to be fertile or experience menstruation any longer. Now you know!
If I’m not mistaken a female body has a certain amount of eggs that if don’t get fertilized the body releases each month with period. Once there is no more eggs there’s Nothing to release and here comes the menopause. That’s my understanding but I might be wrong.
It is a natural process and we have to tolerate 😒drink herbal teas to fight it
The reversed it in mice ☝🏾
@@mahgul8414 , I don't think it should be natural. The body shouldn't cause discomfort. I'm sure if more doctors or scientists studied it a relief for most women would be appreciated. My experience has been it's just a process and try hormone therapy! I decided this year at 54 to try natural supplements some have worked. And eventually they stop as our bodies change hormonal . I've talked to several women and many of them suffer in silence.
David Sinclair is the future indeed. His book is amazing!
He has a podcast. They mentioned, there will be 8. RUclips has 4 right now.

Wouldn't an increase in mitochondria from metformin accelerate aging/oxidation?

I've been on track with diet for about 4-5 years. I cold press Kale, Spinach, carrots, and celery, with moringa powder most days, followed by 1 meal around noon every day. It has transformed my life, I feel 25 at 59 years old. I do 100 pushups every other day, and at least 50 curls (20lbs) per arm other days. My main issue is drinking a lot of beer every day too, and I smoke cigarettes, and marijuana. I simply won't lose belly fat as long as I keep on with the beer. I do believe aging is controllable.
Lol this comment started out great but then you fell off a cliff
@@spruxo yeah, I get it.

Now imagine you without the beer!!! I recently stopped doing drugs and drinking overall and it’s been fantastic. I was able to do it by outgrowing wanting it, instead of wanting to but not indulging, which makes all the difference.
@@chefmj_adventures thanks, candor is a strong point.
