'The country you're thinking of moving to is likely more safe than where you're currently living.' Amen (coming from someone in the U.S. where we're traumatized daily)!
Am thinking about Mexico as well. Went to Cancun years ago and loved it. Felt comfortable going to shops and riding the bus alone and walking alone. Went there with a group but also did solo activities. Had no issues.
Residency, that's is awesome. So happy you gave yourself options, the income qualifications keep rising though ,but it's all worth it. Much Happiness to you.❤
I lived in Taiwan for 11 months. I can't speak Chinese at all. And I had no problem. I used Google app to translate. If you know the game sharades where you describe stuff without using words, I pointed at objects etc...Never felt more safe and relaxed. As soon as I left American airways I was so much more relaxed. No anxiety until returned to the states because covid had started. Anyways, don't let not knowing a language keep you from moving. I was perfectly fine buying items, shopping, etc...without knowing Chinese. Will def go back. I definitely will get residence in another country. I'm loving these videos!
I lived in the middle east for the 2 years and the same experience. When folks want to sell you stuff, pointing and a calculator is magic! Furthermore, if you show respect, average people are extremely helpful.
but i hope you're trying to learn the language out of respect and for your own enrichment. there are many people who study languages who would love to live in a country where their language is spoken.
Excellent content. I plan to seek residency in Mexico, South Africa and Portugal. Next week I will start the exploratory process in Mexico. My greatest concern is medical expenses. I need to minimize risk for medical bankruptcy. During each exploratory trip, I will research hospitals with multiple specialties. Then, I will focus on a mild climate close to the ocean.
I appreciate the healthcare piece. It's a major worry for so many and knowing it's more accessible most other places makes me want to get out of the US even more.
I'm single and would seriously love too be safer environment looking for good health care, somewhere less expensive then the US I'm ex military and need somewhere affordable to live permanently
I am finally ready to move around! It took me some time to get out of fear state of mind.. but I’ll watch the replay later today since I work nights. Where do I email you once I have questions? Thank you!
Hi Stephanie, planning to come to Costa Rica at the end of the year. Anxious to hear more about your experience there. What part of Costa Rica are you?
Stephanie says your Tribe/Team is out there, waiting. She Rocks, and deserves that YACHT ! 🛳⛵🚤✈🙂. I have an associate in Thailand, in a nice apt. $550 U S, Rent includes furniture, utilities, wifi, phone, and scooter rental, overlooking a gorgeous pool. 🎤 🎙 I dropped it.🤣❤
IF the u.s goes downhill...oh the U.S has a hole and is now sinking, BADLY. I would LOVE to move away!!!! The loss of our abortion rights was just the icing on the cake! Love your videos. It hit a cord when you said you don't have to worry about safety...even when my company sends me on travels I have to Google the place before I go and make sure I'll be safe. I have stories!!! The U.S is just a very sad and dangerous place for us. Dangerous, now lossing rights as woman.
While I understand that there are ver safe places, do your research when moving to Latam. Venezuela Honduras an Guatemala are outright suicide, El Salvador is the safest NOW thanks to Nayib Bukele, but that's only recently. I would never go to Mexico or Colombia as it's too dangerous, since cartels run rampant. Chile, Uruguay, and Costa Rica are best For healthcare, while prices in the US are absurd, in the poorest countries some procedures might not be available (Nicaragua comes to mind) and, regardless of price, there might be little to no access due to lack of infrastructure

So true! I can vouch for Taiwan for sure. Most Asian countries are very safe. At least that side of Asia. Lol
That’s why I’m leaving the United States, because in Mexico I can live well for the cost of my NYC rent alone!
I'm so happy we got our Mexico residency this year! Big accomplishment checked off my list.

I hope to find a place where criminals are held accountable, I don’t get my door kicked in, carjacked and as a BW be murdered every five hours.
Hey Sis, i hear you, getting my coins together, looking into online work and a few more things, like travelers insurance. And then... ✈🇰🇷🇮🇹🇪🇸🇫🇷🏮🏚🏛
Yes, a place safe for bw!! But also have free universal healthcare and free/cheap college( for future children).
