As a Portuguese woman I just want to say to African American ladies thinking in coming to Portugal that you can find excellent hairdressers and hair products specifically for African hair in all of our bigger cities. And if you move here, you will be welcome :)

I am not a black woman; I am a black man but still enjoy y'all's videos and content-it's the most thorough I've come across yet. I'm in software engineering and am blessed to be able to work from anywhere in my current job-as soon as I get vaccinated I think I'm off to Mexico City for a bit. I've worked with people from Georgia in the past and they always had a lot of black friends lol so it's cool to hear that so many of us/black women have had positive experience there.

@Starsky Hutch - I'm working on becoming a Web Developer myself for this specific reason. I lived in Frankfurt, Germany for 4yrs and LOVED IT!!! It was the first time I didn't feel under the microscope for having black skin and it was marvelous!! Thinking this time I'll head to France or maybe somewhere else.

A few years ago, one of my international beer buddies was having a wedding in Georgia, and I was invited, but just before I bought my ticket, they eloped. Darn it! It looks beautiful, and old world combination of European and a bit Asian like Turkey. The climate seems similar to California. My beer buddy is a white dude from England, but his bestie, both chefs was an African-Brit. They both loved it there, and told me I’d have my pick of men who would be interested. Not fully sure what that would mean, but it’s definitely on my long list of places I’d like to visit.

Yes, all races of people perished under Hitler regime. But I been to Germany and agree, I was treated better there, than the USA. But that was back in the early 90. Today , is crazy especially with the like of Trumpism and REPUBLICAN...The Russian will prevail over the USA. Nikita Khrushchev said it best, that they would defeat the USA and do it without firing a bullet. He is right this country is going to implode from within 🤯😬😥

I've lived overseas for 5yrs (4 in Germany and 1 in Korea) and I has ZERO plans to come back to the US. My situation changed and I was left with no choice but I've been trying to leave ever since I got back!! I'm finally ready to start applying for Web Developer jobs and I'm hoping to move back to Europe (Paris) or possibly one of your recommended locations like Costa Rica or Portugal as soon as humanly possible!! I let out an audible "Yess!" (in my empty apartment) when you said Portugal. Portugal has long been on my places to move to even though I've never been. One reason is definitely the health insurance. I'm hoping to take a trip out there next year and if all pans out, move there soon. But I'm also taking a 2nd look at Georgia. I am an outdoorsy type so that definitely appeals to me.

Thank-you for mentioning Mauritius. I would love to live there. Last year I plotted a trip from USA to Spain/Gibraltar to Morocco to Mauirtius.( Covid. has pushed it to a back burner) Site unseen, I dream of living in Mauritius!!

I will be 79 in October 2021, and happy I travelled on my own dime, from age 20-73. I was born, educated, and earned all my income from working.. I share most generously with non beggars.
Acapulco and Singapore were the only places I wanted to retire, but the earthquakes and the expensive cost of living were the deal breakers.
There is no reason for people living and dying on the streets. Replace the incomes, when you shut down incomes.
My choice was to work, travel, and help where I could with both hands.
