- The second trailer for Rebel Moon part 2 has just released and I am over the moon about it and today we are going to talk about why that is. This trailer completely went above and beyond my expectations.

I know majority of people didn’t love this film but me personally I enjoyed it for what it was and overall thought the movie was good so consider me hyped for this sequel hopefully it’s better than the first one and I want to see this universe expand into more projects.

I’m not saying you gonna love this movie but just to hate it because of Snyder past Dc work is completely invalid and unfair. Especially where Rebel moon has literally nothing to do with Dc. I hate people bashing on Snyder's storytelling when the R rated versions are his true story. This PG ones are nerfed to make it easier for casuals.
And Sucker Punch which Snyder wrote, the writing was probably the best thing about it.

Rebel Moon part 1 reminds me of the first half of Picard season 3, where they were just trapped in that Nebula and not that much pushed the story forward. The story really picked up after that, and the final 2 episodes were just crazy.
Amazing trailer and definitely more action packed by Zack Snyder. Keep up the great work. I think the director's cuts will be more amazing.

Your comments on Zacks strengths and weaknesses is why I wish him and James gunn could've worked together on DC films. It would've been great to let him just focus on his strengths in action and visuals, and just let someone else write the story. I don't know the background of what happened with Nolan rejecting man of steel, but his story telling with Zacks action scenes would've possibly been a masterpiece.

I think I’d be cautiously optimistic if you’re excited for this. I think I’m more interested to find out what people think of this movie than I am to watch it. That’s weird, right? I feel like I’m not the only one who feels that way about certain movies and TV shows.

The trailer looks good, but the trailer for the part 1 also looked good and the movie was a fiasco. Will this be another movie that will have a director s cut as well ? If so I think it will be better to wait for the cuts because one thing I m sure is Zack cannot create short movies at all and company cuts suck. Hopefully this is an extended cut because if not the franchise will surely suffer.

I really wish that Snyder would be a bit more aware of the physical size of his protagonist when planning the fight choreography. A woman of Sofia's size should have a more well thought out fighting style. Seeing her use even oner grappling technique on a man twice her size just snaps me right out of the whole sequence. She has a gun in her hand, she is tiny, why is she closing the distance between her and her opponents? Give her a knife, or baton, or any force multiplier to fight with if she going close combat. Otherwise, the trailer is ok.

Zack’s movie really suffer from being butchered in the editing process. I mean Rebel Moon didn’t really have a very compelling plot or character but I can tell that they cut out so many character scenes to the point where we didn’t get to know any of them. Since it’s on netflix i don’t understand why they don’t just release the directors cuts directly and don’t bother with the horribly edited versions. Who cares if it’s long that’s why they’re not theatrical releases.
I hope this redeems the atrocity of the first movie.
Kinda like with Dune… Dune being divided into 2 parts doesn’t work IMO… we can see the story just stops in DUNE 1 with the climax yet to be seen until part 2.
And about movies being entertaining… the recent Dune movies feel like a great set of films, good cinema… even if boring (specially for some people). I guess I still find them cool but most of the best & most interesting lore is left out of the films and the action isn’t special at all in Dune.

Personally I didn’t enjoy that much the first movie, it wasn’t terrible it just felt like another generic sci-fi film. I’ll watch the second one but maybe I’ll wait for the Snyder cut of both movies

My biggest issues in the trailer are some of the fight scenes. For some reason, the fights feel more like a choreographed dance to me. Some of the sequences just don't feel as realistic or weighty as, say, Batman v Superman.
Zack Snyder, for me, has become one of the absolute best directors when it comes to action sequences, whether its shooting or hand-to-hand combat. But Rebel Moon Part 1 and some sequences in this trailer just don't feel quite as realistic.
Like the guy with the blue burning sword - he doesn't even move while Kora is advancing. Compare that to the warehouse scene in BvS or the final battle with the parademons in ZSJL. The bad guys are relentless in those movies, and that's what makes them so good. I feel like that's missing from Rebel Moon.

Well, they do have some good scenes in it. Like Autobot arriving on Earth. The Cgi is still top tier compared to other studios. And the battle at Chicago was awesome. However they do have some issues. Like Megatron not maintaining a menacing threat throughout the other films.
Transformers especially bay transformers are loved

And remember, this is what Netflix asked Zack to make for general audiences pg-13 version… the original movie might be a completely different thing.
