Mitsu really do know their turbo diesel engines. Even with lower hp and torque figures, they can still compete with others that have north of 200 hp and 500nm torque. Makes me think that their engines are actually pushing out more than what they claim.
Now it's harder to choose a pickup truck cause almost all of them give you good amount of performance and features for the price, but I would like to point out being more of a Isuzu guy that Isuzu should update the DMAX cause the top of the line 2WD variant only comes with halogen headlights and manual AC to which the likes of the Triton GLS already comes with LED headlights and dual zone climate control for almost the same price as the top of the line 2WD DMAX
isnt it the infotainment / touchscreen display was originially from the outlander then shared to nissan i.e 400z then back to mitsu again? and the steering is similiar to the evo 10?
Just pick the all new GLS Triton, it's basically the same as the all new Navara coming late 2025, plus it come with 360° camera and adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist, which only found on top variant, minus the fabric seats only.
I have a navara vl 4x2.
The 4N16 Engine has been in the Mitsu stable ever since. Used primarily for small trucks, it was developed for the pick up. The Twin Turbo setup is new.
Its a matter of brand preference, no model or variant is ever perfect. Or it could be seen on a value proposition. If your a first time UTE buyer and will always use the 4x4, I'd suggest this as Mitsu's DNA in off roading and reliability is superb. If you prefer a lifestyle pickup, then I guess Fords for you, as they got a lot of bells and whistles. But I like my pick ups with less tech, you know less things to break.
trust me its over rated, had one my two SUVs since 2011 and 2020 on my pick up. Not been using it very much. If the deletion entails less cost, its worth it. Using manual mode, I always use the shifter. Kind of intuitive for an old timer used to manual vehicles.
Mitsubishi Triton 4N16 Biturbo naba yan? Mitsubishi Athlete 4N16 ang Alam ko Biturbo na...! The same ra ba Specifications sa Turbo ang TRITON compared to ATHLETE?
A friend who loves his Rangers, also just placed a reservation on this and he's far from being a Mitsubishi fanboy, tbh. It's subjective, let's not assume we all have same preferences on vehicle design.
Currently driving the current triton and I feel the design went backward. It’s like they’re trying to Americanized the look from 10 years ago. You could take out the Mitsubishi logo and replace it with Ford/Chevy and I wouldn’t be able to tell the different
It looks more Chinese to me than American lol. I prefer the boxy look of the Ford Ranger/Everest and the new LC Prado/Lexus GX now those look macho. I hope Toyota carries that design language to the next gen Fortuner and Hilux.
@@gpaje That's just what they needed, a wake-up call. Yep, the Hilux and Fortuner on the GA-F platform would be huge. Even more so if they will have cross compatibility parts wise. Aftermarket support from Fox, King, Icon etc. on either of those will really catch the interest of off-road enthusiasts. Also love what they did with the Tacoma.

isuzu ph is a joke, even their 4x4 top of the line variant does not come with rear difflock. i did not wonder why dmax is at the bottom list of sales.
they just facelifted that, you dont want them to pull a Kia/Hyundai do you
@@mindfreeze0838 they did a facelift of the DMAX but still the 4x2 top of the line only has halogen headlights and a manual AC
@@EmjayDTubetake a look at the Cannon if you want a kitted out 4x2.
a flip key also is a +
Very well explained. I was weighing this with Navara. You have answered the questions most of the Mitsubsihi agents can't answer yet. :)
Glad it was helpful!
Looks good with this color
Not only trucks but cars are as well are alsogetting bigger. There is only one problem. The roads in the Philippines have not become any wider.
I have this one (2024 GLS) it’s really a great pickup hard to explain if you don’t own one. Try lang!
GLX 4x4 ang hinihintay ng karamihan. Ano offer. Kung mas ok ba sa hilux or ranger or navarra
good video review... i wish we could get these trucks in the USA
isnt it the infotainment / touchscreen display was originially from the outlander then shared to nissan i.e 400z then back to mitsu again? and the steering is similiar to the evo 10?
Yup
I just finished watching the other feature from another channel.. did you shoot at the same location at the same day?
Mitsubishi brought us all to a venue to do our video shoots before the launch 🙂
@@autoindustriya i see, that explains it.. haha..
Is the top variant bi-turbo?
Yes only for the Athlete top trim
Does it have rear ac vents? I didn't see any with the quick pan of the rear seats.
This preprod model did not have it. But the Athlete they will sell gets the rear vent
3 sila may alliance diba? Renault nissan Mitsubishi?
Yes but mitsubishi is the lead designer
But mitsubishi is the kead designer
sana ma e develop nman nila ung handling ok na sana lahat problema talaga ung steering mula noon hanggang ngayon steering problem
still i love the old front of triton. 2022-2023 model
Does it have the same A/C unit with Navarra?
why do some have the steering wheel on the right, some on the left?
That dip on the engine cover will be so welcoming to our feline friends.
Can't decide with this two pick up Triton GLS AT vs Calibre X? Using for school and groceries only once a year going to Mindoro. Help me guys.

Looks like a truck and I like this sqauarish Tritron
The gl 4x4 will be the best selling because of the price point and the utility. After all you don't buy a truck to use as a car .
Unless you can only afford owning one vehicle and uses it for both commute and pangkarga... the comfortability will be a good factor
Walang aircon vents sa likod? Second row?
Sitcom Lagi mo comment , mag electric fan knlang , wala ka kc Gina gawa eh, or mag coffee ka nka may nerbiyos knlang .
i think athlete engine is from nissan navara or np300 as it had twin turbo system..mitsubishi/nissan partnership also..as u see in xpander/livida...
The 4N16 Engine has been in the Mitsu stable ever since. Used primarily for small trucks, it was developed for the pick up. The Twin Turbo setup is new.
Navarra is 2.5 engine. This triton 2.4 4n16 is just an upgraded old 4n15 in the previous triton
2.3 po ung sa nissan YS23 engine made by renault. Ibang iba siya sa 2.4 4N16 ng Mitsubishi which is made by themselves.
Mitsubishi's Super Select is much better than the system used by Nissan. Its a good thing Mitsubishi used their own engine and 4wd system.
It's Nissan who borrows this engine, actually. And no, the 4N16 is purely Mitsubishi DNA.
Anong kulay po yan sir?

I didn't know that Rolls Royce had a pick up variant
I go with calibre x
Mitsubishi Box type curve 😅
No paddle shifter 😅

Isang maangas na roof rail at maangas na mag wheels and 1 inch lift nalang mas popogi tong GLS variant

Exterior looked like it belong to 2015
Really? Give me atleast one car model from the 2015 that has this facade. Especially the front. Ill wait.
The MQ Triton from 2015 was ugly

leather seats at least.🙁
Kain lahat sila sa Raptor 😊✌️
Pangit ng truckbed mas mababa sa hood kaya pag nakita mo to sa daan lalo pag sa likod parang nakadapa ang baba
Stupid design headlights
I would still probably take the Cannon over this as it has the bigger bed.
And better transmission.
Good engine, but ugly outlook
Worst exterior design ever in a Triton, shame Mitsubishi
Raptor sana bilhin ko kaso daming reklamo now I saw this truck very affordable and new dsign
