When Lee mistook Elle's injury for Noah having hit her, I thought that it might be leading to a revelation that Noah had physically abused a past girlfriend. Since Noah has a past history of anger issues, Lee's assumption isn't too off the mark.
That would have made the story so much more interesting, added a lot of character depth to EVERYONE. Their parents, what may have happened in their childhood, Lee's choice to not tell Elle, Elle not knowing, and Noah having to take accountability in a situation where he didn't have to because only the family and the ex girlfriend's family knew - maybe because the ex girlfriend was ashamed as many victims of abuse are until they process their emotions and that the responsibility is not on their shoulders. Maybe the secret gets out at their school and that's the real reason Noah stops going before he leaves for Boston. He can't face his mistakes. There could be a moment where Elle, the first romantic experience she had ever had was someone sexually harassing her, and the ex-girlfriend of the first person she had a consensual sexual relationship with, the ex girlfriend who was also emotionally and physically abused. Maybe she really processes how wrong Noah's actions were after talking to the ex-girlfriend, maybe she even realizes that her ass being slapped in the beginning of the first movie was against her consent, and maybe she holds her boundaries. The good ol Batman in the car switcheroo wouldn't happen, instead I could see Noah taking accountability and actually showing Lee that he was changing. That he had to take a break from everyone to actually work through what he had to do and heal whatever caused him to abuse and turn someone else into a victim. Maybe he apologizes to her, maybe she's Lee's girlfriend, and maybe Lee sees because he's looking for her and eavesdrops thinking Noah was cheating on Elle and trying to steal his girlfriend. And maybe that's what convinces him to set something up where Lee is the one who drives Elle, who is expecting to meet with Noah but for VERY different reasons (maybe she wants to give him a piece of her mind about how fucked up it really was that he was so controlling before he even got close to admitting his feelings), and he actually takes accountability for all of that and for his past choices that hurt so many people. Maybe he's the one who says he can't keep hurting the people he loves. I could see that leading to them agreeing to talk at the end of the first movie, leading to where Elle is actually the one being irrational and ends up mistreating Noah and has to grow by the end of the second one, because she believes that he's seeing someone else while talking to her. It would be cool if Lee was the one who challenged Elle's thinking, calling back to his character in the first movie of trying to fix everything before Elle even had the chance to make any mistakes. It could also illustrate character growth where he's trying to protect his brother for once, because he can tell Noah has really grown up. The last one could be about the entire friend group. The relationships beyond the kissing booth, about how friends grow together and grow apart and them all realizing that friendships are just as important, if not more so, than romantic ones - anyone could live (as in survive) without a partner, but no human can live without community. It could be challenging all of their codependent world views and it could really focus on their relationships with themselves too.

They were, Noah was never abusive or awful towards Elle, only when they were friends he was a over protective and controlling but when they started dating he was actually nice and sweet
Caitlin will be fine & dandy as long as she doesn't discuss Euphoria or True Blood tv series; those tv series were definitely made for the more mature crowd, and rated TV-MA.
In my opinion, both of them suck as characters. I do feel like Noah became less terrible in the 2nd and 3rd movie whereas Elle became more insufferable. Noah isn't perfect and he's still pretty much an a-hole.
I jumped out of my seat and loudly gasped when Noah suddenly slammed his hand on the car, screaming at Elle to get in. He even adds "Please", as if it makes things better, and doesn't even drive Elle home, but to a secluded area. He's not suave or charming, he's an abuser whose behaviour is disturbingly romanticised.

My „theory” is that since movies are obviously a visual medium, filmmakers usually focus more on the auditory and visual aspects of scenes and worlds, neglecting the senses that the audience can’t be directly involved in. So in a lot of cases, smell doesn’t exist in movies 😂
Theres a disclaimer that Athena P uses at the start of her videos when she covers children's shows and it essentially boils down to "while I am talking about a kid's show, the content I make is not for children" Your content is different in that you don't really swear and use fewer innuendos, but a disclaimer like that at the start of videos might work well.
I think your current background is good because it’s your genuine interests, and when you are touching on adult/serious topics a disclaimer is likely more effective. If it is convenient for you to have another area to film in, you could switch to there for the occasional more serious video and leave this setup up for most, but I don’t think it’s necessary. Also your videos appeal more to adults than children, and your analytics display that as well, so I wouldn’t worry about the background. And it’s nice to see you displaying things you enjoy :)
I'm 18 and my college dorm literally looks like a 7 year old lives in it, I have posters of disney princesses on my wall, calico critters all over my desk, and the whole place is basically a shrine to hello kitty. pls dont feel the need to change ur background! To me, the fact that NOAH'S OWN BROTHER, y'know someone who'd known him his entire life, almost, jumps to the conclusion that Noah hit Ellie is a huge red flag. i like the background as it is. i enjoy seeing people my age interact with ‘younger’ media and be comfortable showing it because it’s something i’ve always been interested in as well. it’s nice to get a more adult perspective on it while still just genuinely enjoying the content itself- but if you’re worried about a stray younger person here and there, having a disclaimer or separate playlist for non-disney videos would probably work :)

I'm a casual watcher. But I'm like 25, and I do think just doing a disclaimer when the video is about heavy topics is enough. When I watch it's because I feel your videos are enjoyable in a very pg way, where even if a kid stumbles upon them I would probably think it would still be safe for them. As of you background, it represents what you like and talk about, that should be ageless to a degree, and it definitely connects with your channel, I like it, and like how honest these videos feel.
I love the aesthetic of your room. You shouldn't change it if you don't want to, even if you would like to talk about non-disney related shows and ships. I for one would very much so enjoy your content regardless. To me your background represents the movies and tv-shows that left a big impact on you growing up and what helped shape who you are today. Honestly I surprisingly enjoyed the first kissing booth film but by the third I was worn out so much. My advice is that I do not recommend watching all 3 of them in one night.
Personally, I don’t think you should worry about your background in relation to the content you make. No media is strictly for children, so I don’t see a problem. I can’t speak for everyone though, that’s just my take :)

imo I feel like the series ended more as them establishing that they’ll always be friends. I felt like them riding on separate bikes kind of eludes that they accepted that a romantic relationship didn’t work between them but that they’ll always have a bond that doesn’t just go away. It was kind of refreshing at the time seeing this ending when it came out because every rom-com series finale always has the couple end up together so seeing a couple who had differences accept them and then still be in each others lives made me appreciate the ending so much more.

Elle was definitely in the wrong for many reasons. Like while her feelings And suspicions fed into her insecurities she was also terrible to him bc of it. I mean even the not responding to him and him having to communicate to actually talk to him. It was so weird. My „theory” is that since movies are obviously a visual medium, filmmakers usually focus more on the auditory and visual aspects of scenes and worlds, neglecting the senses that the audience can’t be directly involved in. So in a lot of cases, smell doesn’t exist in movies 😂

Theres a disclaimer that Athena P uses at the start of her videos when she covers children's shows and it essentially boils down to "while I am talking about a kid's show, the content I make is not for children" Your content is different in that you don't really swear and use fewer innuendos, but a disclaimer like that at the start of videos might work well.

I think your current background is good because it’s your genuine interests, and when you are touching on adult/serious topics a disclaimer is likely more effective. If it is convenient for you to have another area to film in, you could switch to there for the occasional more serious video and leave this setup up for most, but I don’t think it’s necessary. Also your videos appeal more to adults than children, and your analytics display that as well, so I wouldn’t worry about the background. And it’s nice to see you displaying things you enjoy :)
I'm 18 and my college dorm literally looks like a 7 year old lives in it, I have posters of disney princesses on my wall, calico critters all over my desk, and the whole place is basically a shrine to hello kitty. pls dont feel the need to change ur background! I don't think it attracts kids, I think it just attracts adults with similar interests! ur decor should always reflect YOU 💓

To me, the fact that NOAH'S OWN BROTHER, y'know someone who'd known him his entire life, almost, jumps to the conclusion that Noah hit Ellie is a huge red flag. It's imidiete too, like a first thing crossing Lee's mind when he sees Ellie being hurt around Noah is that Noah hit her. Usually, when it's family people find it hard to believe when TOLD shit like this. Never mind thinking it themselves.
The second movie made Ellie so much worse, because instead of asking Noah about stuff she made a decision, and sure, her worries aren't unwarranted bc he used to be a ladie's man but he haven't cheated on her when they got together. also, her first repsonse is NOT to break up with him over that missunderstanding but to go and cheat "back" on him. HOW IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE ROMANTIC?
i like the background as it is. i enjoy seeing people my age interact with ‘younger’ media and be comfortable showing it because it’s something i’ve always been interested in as well. it’s nice to get a more adult perspective on it while still just genuinely enjoying the content itself- but if you’re worried about a stray younger person here and there, having a disclaimer or separate playlist for non-disney videos would probably work :)

I'm a casual watcher. But I'm like 25, and I do think just doing a disclaimer when the video is about heavy topics is enough. When I watch it's because I feel your videos are enjoyable in a very pg way, where even if a kid stumbles upon them I would probably think it would still be safe for them. As of you background, it represents what you like and talk about, that should be ageless to a degree, and it definitely connects with your channel, I like it, and like how honest these videos feel.

I’m happy this is a video you decided to make. I feel the same way about this trilogy you do and I liked to hear you talk about why. It’s already been established you watching Netflix and commenting on their shows/movies. We all jump around streaming services and just talking about one would be annoying after a while. As for your background if you go “more adult.” I’m pro keeping it as YOU like it! I’m older than you and my home is decorated in Grinch, Ghostbusters, Disney Villains, and MCU characters. We all have items someone else may look at sideways. As long as you’re happy then your true fans with be also. Also you put “warning” in the title. We know what you will be talking about before clicking on it. It’s up to us to decide if we want to or not and same goes for under age kids… or their parents.

i freaking love this channel
imo I feel like the series ended more as them establishing that they’ll always be friends. I felt like them riding on separate bikes kind of eludes that they accepted that a romantic relationship didn’t work between them but that they’ll always have a bond that doesn’t just go away. It was kind of refreshing at the time seeing this ending when it came out because every rom-com series finale always has the couple end up together so seeing a couple who had differences accept them and then still be in each others lives made me appreciate the ending so much more.

(sidenote, i hate the idea that young adults and up cant enjoy kids media. like, was descendants made with the hopes of targeting kid audiences? yes. but who made the movies, directed it, wrote the music, and acted in it? adults and young adults. a good amount of kids media is far more enjoyed when you're older since you can pick up on the nuances of things. why gatekeep fun and good media for only little kids? especially when they might not get all aspects of the media until they're older? point is, nothing wrong with a 20 something enjoying media targeted towards tweens and teens).
