I always forget this guy works on Postal 4, it only makes sense with how good his visual effects are.
I actually use pre-canned effects from Action VFX, though I’ll often edit them and change their color, speed, opacity, etc.

The charging bricks being individual power cells in is a fantastic concept for a sci-fi weapon. I can see it being in a game and having an upgrade path where you get more power cells with varying perks or ammo types over time.
Honestly, that one was genius all the way through! It really did look like a plasma-rifle of some kind. 🤘

That's basically Mass Effect 2
not just the individual energy cells but also the fuses, when a fuse blows that is an audio visual cue that the cell is drained/dead
I just realized, yeah, that's the Wunderwaffe-DG2. except it has no upgrades other than ammo reserves lol. it uses these light bulb type charges on the side of the gun and it shoots lightning bolts!

People often forget that these goofy reloads are pretty much the backbone of most sci-fi weapons. The goofier the prop the more likely it looks sci-fi.

The damage marks on the wall stacking on top of each other and individually fading out after a certain period is on point.
Honestly, that first gun having the loaded ammo capacity consist out of 3 mini magazines that you cycle through without interruption is a really interesting concept. Because with this, you can have the utility of a high capacity, rapid fire weapon and the mechanical appeal of loading in multiple bits of ammunition depending on how much you fired (not just empty or partial reload) in one.
That's part of why I love these videos, they aren't just high quality and comedically entertaining to watch, but your interpretations of how each object might function as a gun are some genuinely solid weapon design inspiration design material.
And you even have a switch for changing RoF 😉

Just discovered your channel yesterday and already knew you would never stop reloading. It's highly addictive. _I_ have already started reloading at home - it's compulsive!
That first one should have a percentage capacity that changes the reload animation for the intervals
A lot of people think it's a bit silly using everyday household items as props but this is how movies did it forever (and some still do); get a common object, throw on some foam bits, give it a paint job and some accoutrements and you've got your Sci-Fi gun.
For example, the guns in the 2012 TV show Terra Nova are just spray-painted NERF guns.

Glad I am not the only one who would try to imagine random objects as sci-fi guns, especially Dustbusters. You should do a vacuum as a Gatling gun, if you have the right muddle it can be done.

Tip: Next time have the grenade have a sci-fi voice that says "Warning: Plasma Grenade Activated" and then starts making a beeping sound that goes faster and faster as you throw it and it goes boom, you are pretty good, but that would have been perfect

Honestly I always found these shorts and larger videos to be of an interest given it shows just how genuinely ludicrous the animations used in games are. Like the way I choose to view this is like this;all the people giving you Hate are essentially ALSO hating the games where you get the ideas from because in seriousness if games hadn't done stuff similar to this they wouldn't have those mostly you to make the funny content out of it. Sadly it also goes for the doubling down that others that give this man's Hate are just jealous because ANY of them could've thought of the same thing if not had but never went public on it because of the very shit they doin.
