The saddest thing about this series is that when Carl says "I do not kill people....that is my least favorite thing to do" He's telling the truth in the second part He's shown to like doing only 2 things, interacting with Paul, and killing people. He clearly doesn't enjoy killing people if Paul isn't there, so of the 2 things he likes, killing people is the least favorite. Hence why it completely broke him when Paul died.
This truly is the best Original RUclips series ever written, I hope in 100 years, it will still be watched, and people will get to see the greatness of early RUclips creators.
Carl or Karl is a Sociopath with a long history of violence and is also a murder that commits mass genocide and eventually grows distance from his friend Paul and when he tries to get his friend back he ends up killing him on accident and becomes depressed and mentally insane and in the end commits suicide because he couldnt live with his best friend Paul either that or I need sleep
Love really makes people do crazy things for the few things that make them feel validated… I don’t think, people often call out my name in such a way which demands meaning and explanation or understanding, I think Carl liked the longing undertone of his voice, it wasn’t angry, it was confused and wanted to be known; or maybe I’m just crazy; this series always feels like a melancholic love whenever I watch it
I've always thought Carl was slowly losing his mind, hallucinating everything that happens in the video and the things he does slowly getting worse and worse. Maybe Paul is just trying to coexist with his schizophrenic best friend, attempting to remain in his life by playing along with everything. I've always felt like Paul's reactions to Carl's actions were pretty tame so maybe he was pretending to see them as well. After a while, he couldn't take it anymore and moved out, apologizing to Carl for leaving him but also trying to set boundaries for himself to save himself from the stress that comes with that kind of friendship. Maybe Paul was the only thing keeping Carl sane enough to not completely lose his mind and his suicide hit Paul hard because he knew he could've stopped it. But that's just what I think! I know your comment is old but I like your statement!
As a whitey, I was momentarily embarrassed to have not noticed the lack of baby hand diversity and then burst out laughing at the explanation. Maybe the real crack in spacetime harvesting millions of baby hands was my problematic subconscious baby hand norms.

Came back to rewatch the series as FilmCow just dropped a new episode/epilogue... which is longer than the original run combined... haven't yet watched it, but geez, how in the world are they going to follow up on this?
Slow Decent? He went from killing a guy to sinking a cruise ship to toppling the government an entire country to a freaking nuke. He didn't slowly descend, he plummeted.
Spoofopolis More like he started pretty bad, then fell all the way down to hit rock bottom at ep 5, broke through the bedrock and fell into the infinite abyss where distance doesn't matter, only CAAARRRLL.
SHADE Dayz In the last scene, Carl is screaming as he jumps from the bridge, and as he hits the water, the music and his screaming go entirely silent. Hence.
The sound of forgiveness is screams then silence. And in his last seconds Carl was forgiven. A truly beautiful and incredible series. This was the good RUclips. This was the classic RUclips.
Paul: “You head butted children off the side of the ship!” Carl: “That must’ve been horrid to watch.” Paul: “Then you started making out with the ice sculptures!” Carl: “Thank God the children weren’t on board to see it.”
"That is the sound of forgiveness. Screaming, and then silence." Then, at the end, Carl jumps on the bridge, screaming and then met with an abrupt silence. I honestly don't know exactly what it means, but I know it means something, and just wanted to point that out. Ngl the ending makes me cry everytime
I think that Carl was trying to convince Paul that he was sorry before he killed himself, and that was the way he chose to do it. I’m pretty sure that that was the flashback that he remembered just then, so he started screaming so that when he jumped there would be complete silence. I think that that is the reason why, but I’m not sure. He just wanted forgiveness before the end.
This show man. It’s a bloody emotional rollercoaster for 18 mins straight. I love the fact that as time goes by, Carl’s action becomes worse but throughout all this, he always stuck by his friend and never hurt him.Only when Paul left and told Carl that he wasn’t coming back did Carl become more unhinged than he was and went on a downward spiral of depression, anger, denial and acceptance.
i like to believe that carl really was a normal llama until the guy walked into the house. thinking he was probably getting robbed, carl stabs him in self defence. but then carl realises he likes to kill people so he becomes more and more unhinged as the series goes on.
No I think this: paul wasn’t there for him afterwards and immediately jumped all over him repeatedly for it. Carl got more and more isolated. Then they went on a cruise, and Paul got drunk and told the guests that Carl killed someone. The children ran all over the boat, telling everyone, so Carl sank the boat to avoid authorities Bc they don’t ever believe self defense if you have neurological issues. Paul then tried to tell authorities on the vacation where he was, convinced Carl did it all out of insanity. So Carl killed them all and put them in the meat dragon. Then Carl wanted Paul to feel responsible for death so he’d realize what he put Carl through. Then Carl wanted society to pay for not believing people when they defend themselves, so he did the rest. And he realized he killed Paul.
I mean in Carl's defense on the first human, the guy was technically break-in and entering and therefore was justified in defending his home by stabbing him 37 times in the chest. He then got hungry from all that stabbing and needed to eat some hands. Makes perfect sense.
@@PennsyPappas So you are saying that you would JUST "Have a harder time justifying the other people killed." I want to here this justification for the reason Carl can destroy society, and murder every human being on the planet
"That's what forgiveness sounds like. Screaming, then silence." Episode 12 ends with Carl screaming then drowning himself. I wonder if Paul forgave him. Probably not.
Yea same I wish they would make a new series " Llamas afterlife " Where Paul is in heaven and Carl went to hell and the series is about them talking on video call where Carl talks about the horrible things he is doing in Hell the series ultimately leads to Satan and God getting sick of Carl and Paul then they both dump them back on Earth

"That is the sound of forgiveness. Screaming, and then silence."
Then, at the end, Carl jumps on the bridge, screaming and then met with an abrupt silence. I honestly don't know exactly what it means, but I know it means something, and just wanted to point that out. Ngl the ending makes me cry everytime
So sad :(
I think that Carl was trying to convince Paul that he was sorry before he killed himself, and that was the way he chose to do it. I’m pretty sure that that was the flashback that he remembered just then, so he started screaming so that when he jumped there would be complete silence. I think that that is the reason why, but I’m not sure. He just wanted forgiveness before the end.
He forgave Paul for abandoning him right before he dies
He forgave Paul before he committed no life to ones self.
It is pretty sad if you think about it.
It was showing every thing you do comes back at you
This show man.

You mean KaRl?
@@marycecilledivine bruh-
**silently** holy shit...
This makes too much sense for it not to be true
I love how the ending music gets more unhinged

Technically the what we call the Vietnam War was the Second Vietnam War
I mean in Carl's defense on the first human, the guy was technically break-in and entering and therefore was justified in defending his home by stabbing him 37 times in the chest. He then got hungry from all that stabbing and needed to eat some hands. Makes perfect sense.
@Tyson Alvarado-Salazar It does make sense when you think about it. Although id have a harder time justifying the othe people he killed.
