This is an excellent, methodical, well presented video on how to replace O-rings on a Mira 723. It enabled me to repair my shower during lock-down when I could not get an engineer. Many thanks.

I have just followed this very clear instructions and fully maintained a Mira 723 shower - this went very well. The cartridge was well and truly limed up and took a lot of work to get nice and clean. New seals and away we go. I recommend following the advice and buying the grease from shower doc this really was much better than the black gunge supplied with the repair kit. Great video showerdoc.

Just serviced my 722 with help from this video. Shower was leaking from the shower head and now not a drip in sight. Tools used: Large adjustable, large flat head screw driver and a small flat head screwdriver. Parts are tight at times but be patient and ease them with a screwdriver and eventually the do come off. Once disassembled like in the video my service pack had a step by step guide on sequence to replace the seals and washers and to reassemble.

Hi , I've just replaced the solenoid on a mira jump mk2 shower....
Firstly I need to thank you because it was The Shower Doctor's channel how I diagnosed the problem in the first place, so thank you 👍 ..
After replacing the solenoid the shower works again, However it has developed a buzzing noise , I would be really grateful if anyone could give me some advice on what this could be and how to resolve it...

Having watched your video several times I dismantled my Mira shower control I found these only legible 415FV as unfortunately the rest were not readable my control is a sealed black plastic unit with 2 little white plastic sprung loaded caps so it looks like I'll need to buy a complete new unit! Do you sell them thanks for your time

Do you need to shut off the mains water supply before doing this?

Very helpful. Saved paying a small fortune to the crook who said a new valve was needed.

What is recommended to dissolve calcium build up.
    Which parts are greased.
What is needed to clean up any brass parts safely.

I leave the parts in hot kettle descaler. I think some toilet descalers are stronger. For greasing the O-rings, I use plumbers silicone grease sparingly. I also used that on the rotating temperature sleeve, but haven’t compared that with not using any.

Very helpfull indeed but the video (Rivit counter) in me notices that the outflow moves from top to bottom between removing the cartridge to refitting it. Still very helpful although i get the feeling this may not have been a real bathroom, nes pa ?. Keep up the good work, sack the continuity guy. LOL.

Just a quick question, can I still buy the 723 and 722 shower today?
    How old is the 723?
    When did they get released?

I have a very faulty 723. My house was built in 1989, it's the original shower, if that helps.

Many thanks George. Until I watched this, I was stuck with a half dismantled valve, no water in the house and a disgruntled companion. Moral is fill the kettle before starting.

Never use grips or pump pliers on parts with flats, you should use spanners or good quality adjustable spanners like Bahco or Britool etc. All plumbers should know this unless they’re apprenticeship was serviced in a 6 month rodeo school! Just saying……

You pay £200-350 for shower mixer and still you have to service that shit.
Quality of that is ridiculous bad.
