YES SOMEONE MADE A LET'S PLAY OF IT! I FINALLY GET TO RELIVE MY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES! Edit, it's been six years since I made this comment. How much things have changed...
Back in the mid 2000s when I was young my dad got this laptop with Windows XP that came with the Fate demo. I played it a lot until I convinced my parents to get the full game. Eventually I inherited the laptop until I was gifted a new one but I sadly didn't keep the game. I think we even had a CD of the game but who knows what happened to it. Years later I reobtained game via... other means until finally getting it again on Steam.
Yo same here i was afraid of the spider's and just asked him to play and i would watch. Those were the good times he would let me fish while maybe doing something else
Haha check out the playlist in the video description. “The Clergy’s Lamentation” really brings back the memories! “Welcome to your nightcap” not so much but still good.
Me too, and I lowkey have a crush on Bartleby, does anybody know who voiced him, such a sexy voice, when he says "Welcome friend!" I get wet. 😏 I have also created all the human npc characters in the Sims Medieval.
*WILDTANGENT* Holy fuck thank you, I've been trying to remember that name for the better part of a decade, I had so many games on my old pc that I loved.
@@zytreak yeah that was a pisser. I'd leave the games running as long as possible to avoid using up tokens. By any chance does someone remember the game where you played as a little green alien? it was a platform hopper and you got a jetpack at later stages. That's all I remember but it was one of my favorites.
I remember playing this game when I was little and creating a new profile every time I played but not deleting the old ones so the computer git rally slow... ahhh the good old days
This is a fun little dungeon crawler. Brings back memories when I was middle/high school. The charm magic skill is absolutely broken. Also rare items received from fishing (any item with a unique name) is where you will earn the bulk of your money. This often turns the game into a fishing simulator. The game quickly becomes repetitive as you clear each floor, loot, sell, get new quests, repeat. As the dungeon floors reach the mid teens and you gain a few levels, you will notice that leveling up your character begins to slow down A LOT. The main mechanic is basically: get gear to kill monsters to complete quests to buy better gear. Items are everything in this game and you will be trying to make sure your gears power level keeps ahead of the enemies you face (which becomes increasingly more difficult the deeper you go). I love the amount of items that are included in this game and how the same sword can have a superior version, a version that requires a certain fame level, multiple sockets, and any number of enchantments (resulting in some rediculously long names). It helps to know what character you want to build going in so you can put all your points into the right skills. Fate does not reward being a jack of all trades.
I remember having this on my Mac. I remember buying several town scrolls so that I could get back to town quickly and then buy the better items. I ended up beating the game.
Wow,i randomly remember about this game today, played it back when I'm 10,my best friend introduced me to this game... Thanks for sharing man, this game brought me good memories
I remember this game from when I was 5-8. My school life sucked because of bullying and this game took my mind off of it all. I’m so glad I remembered about it and I even installed it on steam today. Thank you so much for recording this.
looks like you ain't alone. I too suffered from bullying during grade and high school, and the Fate games really made me temporarily forget all of those when I'm at home. That's prolly why these games give me heavy nostalgia
I remember when I started playing this game when i was 7, I used play so much and was so good, but i just randomly thought of this today, I just loved exploring the dungeons lol
I played this in the past and I was unable to beat this game and I miss this game so much and no game is like this and I really love this game so thank you so much for doing a FATE series!!!
The ultimate game of my childhood. Played this when I was 7 and I can still whistle the back ground music. I can still remember mom always scolded me for playing it non stop till midnight. I'm bow 14, and can't wait to play it on steam today.
Its been so I've seen this game every when I came from school I just got on my chair and starting playing 7 years of finding this game all good time when life was good😔
I just downloaded the game and almost level 7 in less then an hour lol I missed this game so much back in the day like 6-7 years ago I played it till my guy retired lol
We had this pre installed on our old family computer back in the day, but it was like this old windows game arcade thing and you had to use tokens to actually buy the game or whatever to play it fully. I'm sad to say that I only got to do the trial and never got to play it ever again, I remember being super upset
Nostalgia to the max I went on this game just yesterday and now you have to pay for it ;^; the 30 mins on that game was worth it this game was my childhood what I came home from school for and why I stayed up at night I had so many swords and magic lol
After watching you play through all these Fate versions and I've gotten the idea that someone could literally take their entire family line through all the different versions. Pass down a certain item unto each family member as each character retires.
Man I remember my grandpa sitting downstairs playing this game before he passed away. He had really bad Alzheimer’s so they’re were always plenty of random levels and new characters to try out when he wasn’t playing. I gotta get a PC to play this game!!
This is the series that got me subbed to you Retro Gaming Now! I still watch your videos now and then but I still remember listening to you play through Fate while I was bored at work lol.
Omg I adored this game. Finally someone named it and I could look it up. A neighbors brother had it and I never could find him to ask years later what it was. So relaxing to play. ❤️ Thank you for the let's play
I played this game a lot when I was 4. I remember talking about it with a friend at my daycare. Me: There's this really cool game I play, it's called Feet Friend: Ewww! That's gross! Me: No no! It's really cool I swear! I also didn't know how to read 😂
I remember when I found you could fish and get rare items I was addicted lol. And just constantly gambling on gear to see if you get something good lol.
This was part of my childhood! I remember beating the final boss on a computer with friends, after which you could prestige an item (carry it over with increased stats) and begin anew. I remember enchanting the crap out of rings in the graveyard until we got one that boosted almost every stat then passed that down and continued to do so over multiple characters. After a while the ring got so absurdly strong that it would send our characters stats into the negative. This weirdly lead to all items found across any character to have terrible stats and enchantments. I guess however the game was coded, having an item increase all of your stats by four hundred quadrillion lead to some weird generation of new items. Fun times.
Thank you for making this video RGN... Fate Undiscovered Realms was the *very* first RPG I ever played, maybe around 2005, and it was on an old laptop I wiped and donated last week. When I played it way back when, I found a high level character online called Calvin the Deep Delver and some cheat codes... unlimited gold, epic helm, and dungeons hundreds of levels down. When I visited the Wild Tangent website the other day I found they still have Fate and its two sequels plus it looks like they offer a lot of other kid friendly games. 😉😉
I just randomly remembered this game. I played this as a 7 year old and I never wanted to go to the dungeons. I just stayed in the town the whole time and made my mom do the dungeons for me. Good times, good times.

Hours of fishing. Fishing and fishing and fishing. That was all I did on this game. Everything else scared me. I didn't want to die. I didn't know how to fight. All I did was fish. Now I am the person who will spend an hour fishing in Minecraft, Stardew Valley, or any videogame that you give me that has a fishing feature. I want to buy this game again and spend hours fishing again. I miss the fishing. It is the best fishing I've had in any game I've played so far.
I played this game so much when I was around 5-8 I became a pro and randomly remembered about it today

I feel so lucky to remember this as a part of my childhood
I started playing this game when I was like maybe 4 or 5. I knew how to slaughter monsters before I knew how to read.
