First time I heard Kris was his Silver Tongue record album, in 1972. Loved his songs, and Rita Coolidge was such a beautiful voice next to his. Still listen to their records, they are awesome. And, of course followed his career both in music and in acting. Glad to see he is thinking of his family, and selling off his assets is a wise step. The family can split money easier and can purchase whatever home or property they desire. God bless the Kristofferson family.

I enjoyed mostly Kris singing his own songs. You could really feel the way he was able to fully convey the message of the lyrics. I would love to see him do a few more concerts under the banner ''In case you're wondering - I'm still here."
Sometimes you start reading a new author for the first time and you think - Yes Yes Yes... this author has been there! I know that because I've been at the same place! You couldn't make this stuff up, you had to have been there! This was the very same impression I got when I heard "The Pilgrim, Chapter 33" for the first time. I couldn't believe my ears, I felt overwhelmed. Since that moment, I have admired and adored this man and listened to his songs whenever I was down. Thank you Kris!
He’s one the greatest writers out of Nashville. He’s a good man, an inspiration, worthy of emulation, and a leader in so many ways I can’t innumerate. His decency and honesty walk tall. Well done Kris.✅👍
I know him as one of the most heartfelt, down to earth artists to grace the screen with exactly the same grace and authenticity he sang with Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash. And many more. Truly inspired individual. A noble presence.
His portayal of John Norman Howard in A Star Is Born was incredible..So handsome..yet vulnerable..A truly talented & versatile actor, singer, & songwriter.
Kris was a total original; he merged great poetry and melody, and his songs were mostly self-portraits and , " Loving Her Was Easier ." Is my favourite. I rate him alongside Roger Miller and Johnny Cash among the all-time great originals in country music .. He is showing immense fortitude and resignation of the fact that he is coming close to his inevitable end It was my great privilege to have seen him three times here in Ireland, and those will be my abiding memories of him., and I still hope it will be a considerable length of time before he closes the exit door.
❤🎉😢 I Was Honored To Meet Kris K. In NYC. At the Club Called Bottom Line! I Was Student Of Creative Writing 😢 Tears of Joy & Music 🎵. Amazing. Thanks 🙏
I saw Kris in Toronto at the Riverboat, a famous venue for folk artists. In the audience was Kris’ friend Gordon Lightfoot, who was already successful and famous. A great evening of music and friendly banter with Gordon and Kris. A long , long time ago, but a fond memory. We are losing so many of our generations ( I am 74) artists. Inevitable but still sad.
Still to this day, when I sing and play "Why me Lord", I feel I'm talking directly to Jesus our Lord. Huge tears well up in my eyes, and my voice goes shaky and my heart burns with surrender. My guitar gets a shower in tears. I'm grateful for his music.🎶
I saw Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Johnny Cash play at the County Fair in Bakersfield years ago....The Highwaymen, great show 👍🇺🇸
I greatly admire him because he has lived his life the way he wanted to. He is an immense talent in both the music and acting world. I hope and pray he is around for a while longer. I would love to meet him.
Such a sweet man. 😇 I hope he reads comments. I was so Blessed to open for Kris in San Luis Obispo Earthday event. His beautiful wife and children were like Angels to me. Got a big hug from him and he asked me to come on again. I think it was 1991 not sure. I don't even know what made it happen cause it was two days before concert. I loved every second of the concert and was in Gods Heaven opening for him. Kris, if you read this, please know how special you are. Not just to me but all musicians and earth friendly people everywhere. I thank you and still remember your special hug. And you said "good job" I wish you the best of health and know you are in all hearts passing through. Much love to you and yours.💗 Susan
To Kris Kristofferson, We will have comfort when we follow our hearts for our loved ones. I will always smile when I hear Dont look down. We want you with us. God bless you
Loved his character in HEAVEN'S GATE, a film from 1980 which had a past negative reputation and brought ruin to UNITED ARTISTS. Many combined factors added to total up the film's colossal expense. I believe it to have a cult following since, with a much more of a positive and realistic look. Based on true stories and incidents at the time, they formed the basic outline for this magnificent western epic, beautifully photographed and richly detailed. HOWEVER, BEWARE of different time totals. The only VERSION to see , in my opinion, is the 3-hour and 50 minute cut, and for all those who haven't seen it, all of the endings are BASICALLY the same, sans a few weird edits- between -the- edits and are REALLY STRANGE with indifference. PAT GARRETT AND BILLY THE KID was another masterpiece, with sort of the same problems! Thank you, KRIS, for all of the GREAT memories! You are truly one of the great artists of our times. AGAIN-loved your character in HEAVEN'S GATE!
Whatta, whatta, whatta, crismatic human being. He entertained at a fair in the Sacramento area and his new wife and family were with him. It was a beautiful concert. Much love and blessing to Kris and his family and to all who will miss him someday. 🔥💛🔥
I remember reading about him when I was stationed in Germany in 1979-80. As I grew older, I loved his music. In the 80's or 90's he came to my hometown and I was only a few feet away from him, swooning. One of my favorite movies of his was Songwriter. Maybe not a well known one but I liked Willie Nelson and Leslie Ann Warren and became a quick fan of Melinda Dillon.
Brilliant songwriter …. Good singer… I’d give all my tomorrows for a single yesterday…only Kris could write a line like that…very clever man and modest… hope he is around for a good while more..❤ Tks for the great songs
Jenny Lou Carson's 1947 original song was mistitled "I'll Trade All of My Tomorrows" by the label. Eddy Arnold's 1952 hit version removed Carson's opening verses and began the song as it is known and performed today with "I'd trade all of my tomorrows for just one yesterday". Kris "borrowed" a lot of phrases from other writers & R N some of his songs.
I got my first introduction to Kris when I was about 6 years old. My Mom had the album Jesus was a Capricorn and she played it often. I became a fan then and have been ever since. I got to see him in concert in 1982. I am not surprised that he is now selling off his things because just recently when he attended Willie Nelson's 90th birthday concert he had a hard time walking and was helped along by someone.
I guess that my most vivid memory of Kris Kristofferson is from when I first heard of him when it was announced that he was costarring with Barbara Streisand in A Star is Born in 1976.
I saw him and the Highwaymen play at the county fair in Bakersfield years ago, front row

My favorite memories: I was in Nashville for the first time in early 1969 working with Bonnie Guitar, Paula Tutmarc, and Don Tweedy Productions recording an album at RCA. I met Kris during that time and we hung out for a couple of weeks. I played guitar on a few late night demo sessions (off the clock) for him. This was just before Ray Stevens release of Sunday Morning Coming Down, followed by Johnny Cash on his tv show in early 1970.
I was fortunate enough to share a kiss with him in the 80s on Bank St. in front of Barrymore's at about 3 a.m. in Ottawa, ON, Canada. It was after a Ronnie Hawkins concert. (one of his best friends) An unexpected, spontaneous, moment that will remain embedded deep in my heart always.
Multi-talented, grounded, humble, gives gratitude to the God of the universe. “The Highwaymen” were a genuine gift to music lovers the world over. So privileged to have his music/acting talent produced within my lifetime, a gentleman and scholar.
I have been an avid Kris fan since the 1970s. My first encounter was by chance hearing his recording of ‘Me and Bobby Magee’ in the background. I was an instant fan! He gave a great concert in the RDS in Dublin around 1980. I think he was very pleased with the warm Irish welcome he got from the audience and it was well deserved. He has had an amazing life and it is sad to think that he may now be nearing the end as is suggested by the title.
I know Chris Kristofferson better has a musician rather than a movie star. One of my favorite songs that he wrote was help me make it through the night. And Bobby McGee was a great one. I liked him as a single artist and I liked him when he was with the highway men. Basically he was really a good songwriter and musician. I grew up, not too far from Pomona and Claremont, I came from Ontario California. Back in the good all days thanks for the video. There’s only one thing I can honestly say I’m 70 now I hope I make it to be at least 85 maybe 90 who knows all except is I’m glad they found his problem. Hope he lives in a while longer.👍🏼👍🏼🎸😎❤️
We met once at the Universal commissary my dad worked at Technicolor as a celluloid cinematic mechanical engineering buyer when Technicolor was Still located on Lankershim blvd. We walked across the lots. My dad had just told me to keep my eyes peeled as there are alot of celebrities walking around here. Guess who was in line right next to me and my dad at the cash register?! He was so tall wearing an all black suit He smiled a billion $ smile at us and said hi to us. He was so nice and friendly. Will always remember this and how handsome and nice he was.❤
Convoy! I still love to watch it at least once every year, still have the original video cassette, lol. And thank you, too, for all your heartfelt music - your ever grateful fans, we won't forget. Wishing you love and peace, from Abigail, in beautiful New Hampshire
I remember him as a singer and songwriter most. Why Me Lord as well as Loving Arms for singing. Songwriting, Sunday Morning Coming Down, For the Good Times, Lovin' her was easier, and Why me Lord.
I met Kris backstage at a Willie Nelson concert in the late 70s where I was working as the house electrician. We talked for quite a while. He was really friendly and down to earth.
I'm not fond of the lurid hottie/heartthrob of the seventies now a frail and decrepit recluse segments. But this one has a deeper subtext that dives into practical planning for something that is ultimately going to happen to everyone. I had no idea Kris Kristofferson had such a multifaceted life/career. Impressive man.
To me it has been his awesome musical abilities through the years. So sad to see his passing. Surely hoping and praying He had accepted Christ. Sad story in a way but oh so abundantly gifted. I am praying you are resting in God’s eternal love!
I remember him mostly from Convoy and Fire down below movies. But as a country listner I've know him all my life. Earliest memory of his songs is Convoy as it was on a trucker cassette which were very popular in the 80s.

Kris has had an amazing over the top career. I feel honored to be living in this era to listen to his music as well as his movies. If any young children were looking for a hero, I would hope they would pick Kris. They couldn’t go wrong with Kris to look up to. See you later Kris. I loved every minute of the course. Blessings ❤
I have all his LPs … still have them though i don’t play his songs on my turntable anymore, ever since the digital age began. I have been a fan of his music since I first discovered him in the early 70’s.
Kris Kristofferson...what's not to love? And he was the cutest little boy...And a Rhodes Scholar, And a musician, And a song writer, And an actor, And someone who always seemed like a good man.
I would like to define...maybe even correct...your comment.Yes,I believe(according to media reports) Kris never had a problem with recreational drugs, but alcohol....BUT,he took care of it fairly soon and quickly....plus,I read,in one of those defining moments of his life,he wrote "Sunday Morning coming down"...Plus,I read, his problems with alcohol, was the reason for the divorce from Rita Collidge....But nobody is perfect,we all make mistakes in life and the smart people learn from their mistakes.......and Kris made the best of it since....
Both singer and actor. I too fight Lymes’ disease. My husband and l loved listening to his songs and our album, The Highwayman, has been passed down to a grandson. I’m downsizing too. After years of dealing with family properties l want to make it easier for my family. I’m looking forward to making life easier! God Bless you Chris for entertaining us for so many years! 🙏🏼
Kris Kristofferson is multitalented. enjoyed his works, here is three Kris Kristofferson quotes I love it show a caring side to him. best wishes to Kris Kristofferson and his family. "Tell the truth. Sing with passion. Work with laughter. Love with heart. 'Cause that's all that matters in the end." Kris Kristofferson "Roy Orbison was one of the genuinely nicest persons I've ever known. With one of the most beautiful voices in the history of recorded music he could easily have had an opera star's ego, but he was one of the humblest, kindest, sweetest human beings to grace this planet. This in spite of the enormous tragedies in his life. A brave, beautiful blessing of a man." Kris Kristofferson "I grew up in a time when people believed in duty, honor and country. My grandfathers were both officers. My father was a General in the Air Force. My brother and I were both in the Army. I've always felt a kinship with soldiers; I think it's possible to support the warrior and be against the war." Kris Kristofferson
I remember him in Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. His first album with Rita Coolidge also. My biggest memory though is his song about meeting Jesus and his interview about it. He was completely bewildered.I hope he has sorted out his faith and with the apostle Paul say; for me to live is Christ ; and to die is gain… That’s worth more than all this earth can offer anyone.
Saw him in concert in Atlanta in the early 70’s. He was with Rita then. They were so awesome together. Loved him and followed him ever since. Saw all his movies but lost track few years ago. Didn’t realize he’s 87 but I can’t even believe I’m 77! Sorry to hear he’s dying and of what?
We're very happy to know that you had a chance to see Kris live! Thank you so much for sharing your life story. What other types of video would you like to see?
No, he can't die. I don't want him to. Wish I had a say in it. I just loved him for years .I'm 80 years old He can't die befor me. I have loved him since Sunday morning coming down. I remember where I was the first time I hear it. Johnny Cash was another of my favorites. It's hard getting old ,and seeing people you care about die. The other day some jerk show a casket with Alan Jackson's picture on it. I started crying much ,I couldn't talk. Then I resurched it. He's still alive Thank God. Why do thay do that. I loved the Highwaymen All those guy can't be replaced. And Kenny Roger's another tear jurking couple months. I can't handle life anymore
Both and also as a northern Californian one thing he did for us is set up rest stops for divers and truckers on highway 5 in the central valley. Nice with park like trees and picnic tables I always use them. Love his music and acting.
I was in the movie Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid as an extra, riding horses and doubling for some of the stars distant shots on horses. It was an honor to be around a cast of legends in that movie.
Kudos to Kris for preparing for his spiritual departure! Very smart move. My memory of Kris was in the Fall of 1970, he was in Tucson,Arizona sitting in a little restaurant that was in the Ted De Gracia adobe style complex at Campbell and PrinceRd. He was scheduled to play for the night crowd that evening. I was picking up some food for my Mom who was at home dying of cancer. He said hello and I responded in kind! He was and still is a favorite of mine! Blessings to him and his family as he transition to his next journey! 🤗🫶🏻🙏🏻🍁🕊️
Fifty-four years ago I sat outside The Riverboat in Yorkville (Toronto), listening the entertainment for that night - Kris Kristofferson. I didn't have the money to go in, so sitting on the sidewalk for his entire show was the best I could do. I would have stayed all night just to be able to listen to this amazing singer/songwriter.
I've seen Kris perform here in Brisbane, Qld. Australia, with the Highwaymen at a huge venue. I've seen him here in Brisbane at a small venue, where it was just Kris and his acoustic guitar. I cherish the memories of both events. However there was something warm and personal about that smaller auditorium performance. As an amateur songwriter just 11 years his junior, his songwriting talents have had a massive influence on me. His subject matter and his colorful way of story telling in his songs are unequalled. Well, Willie Nelson and Tom T. Hall may be in the same class, but Kris just rides the song writing wave like no other.
No matter what he did whether it was writing songs or acting. He was great at all about the song did he wrote the best song was why me, Lord there’s a story behind that when he got saved.
He is stupendous. Shaped my life with his songs. I was inspired by WHY ME LIRD Sweet susannah Sunday Morning..me snd bobby mcgee and from the bottle to the bottom . A TRUE GENIUS WHAT A LEGACY
Great man with a big heart. I remember buying his first album, Kristofferson, (an LP) in 1970 when he was hailed as the next big thing after Dylan. They weren't far wrong. He has always been on the right side of history, like the time he comforted Sinead O'Connor when she was booed for standing up against child abuse. When he's gone, he will live on in our hearts.
I enjoyed his acting career and watched many of his movies but his song writing was the greatest along with Merle Haggard and Marty Robbins. He was a brilliant man who lived a many faceted life! I wouldn’t be able to pick a favorite song, as they all were great! I loved them all and I’m a great supporter of this very talented man and am sure when it’s the time to meet his maker he will have a special place beside his creator! Thank you Kris for all of the enjoyment that you’ve created for me and many others that will live on for years to come! I and many others love ❤️ you very much!
One thing we all have to do is get ready for the next life and believe me if we make the right choice it will the best decision we have ever made. A man told me that he believes we are born, we live and die and that's all. I said if he is wrong and the bible is right he will have much to be worried about. Our decision to get saved and our sins forgiven is the right thing to do. If we don't and go to hell (outer darkness and torment) for eternity is something to think about. There are no Exit signs in hell. You won't be able to undo your decision.
First recognized his talent with Sammi Smith's smash hit, "Help Me Make It Through The NIght". Also loved his 1973 hit, "Why Me Lord". From there I just kept on discovering his many well received compositions. What a talent. Glad Lime Disease was corrected. Wonder if he'll write us a parting song before hitting that final trail. He'll be missed (when he finally does go).
The thing I remember about Kris Kristofferson is his role in the movie “The Sailor who fell from Grace with the Sea”. That was an awesome movie. Sarah Miles was so hot. Made a lasting impression on me. I saw it once, never heard about it again. Pity.
This may sound silly, but I enjoyed his appearance in an episode of The Muppet Show with his then wife Rita Coolidge. I can only hope for the best for Kris Kristofferson and his family and friends.
On the off chance you read this Mr. Kristofferson; you have rocked my life for decades. I adore ALL of your acting roles, especially in the Blade Trilogy, and a multitude more. I honor and love your political actions which culminated in a long and distinguished gift to our country. You are SO loved and my heart already aches. Love to you and your family. XOXOXO

I know him as one of the most heartfelt, down to earth artists to grace the screen with exactly the same grace and authenticity he sang with Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash. And many more. Truly inspired individual. A noble presence.
Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Kris. We wish him all the best 💕💕
He is showing immense fortitude and resignation of the fact that he is coming close to his inevitable end
It was my great privilege to have seen him three times here in Ireland, and those will be my abiding memories of him., and I still hope it will be a considerable length of time before he closes the exit door.

Kris Kristofferson is one of the best wordsmiths of our generation. His songs excel at expressing difficult emotional states. He will be missed.
We absolutely agree! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Be safe and enjoy the rest of your evening!
God bless you and your beautiful family! We've enjoyed your music and acting throughout your career! God bless you in your next career!🤗🤗
Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Kris. Which of his songs appealed to you the most?
I think he’s one cool dude. He’s done it all and it’s been great watching him do it. Smart, sexy, talented and a good man.

That was 1971 btw
Still to this day, when I sing and play "Why me Lord", I feel I'm talking directly to Jesus our Lord. Huge tears well up in my eyes, and my voice goes shaky and my heart burns with surrender. My guitar gets a shower in tears. I'm grateful for his music.🎶
We're moved. Thank you so much for sharing your life story. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
I saw Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Johnny Cash play at the County Fair in Bakersfield years ago....The Highwaymen, great show 👍🇺🇸
Fun stuff, thank you so much for sharing your life story. We wish Kris all the best in life 😭😭
I greatly admire him because he has lived his life the way he wanted to.
And you said "good job"
I wish you the best of health and know you are in all hearts passing through. Much love to you and yours.💗 Susan
💛
I’ve always respected him as a musician and a person. Can’t say that about some of the newbies.
To Kris Kristofferson, We will have comfort when we follow our hearts for our loved ones. I will always smile when I hear Dont look down. We want you with us. God bless you
His music and songs take me back to great memories. One of the best.
Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Kris. Which of his roles appealed to you the most?
I remember when he and Rita Coolidge were together and I loved him in the movie LONE STAR with Matthew McConaughey, Chris Cooper, and Elizabeth Pena.
Keep fighting Kris DON'T GIVE UP FIGHT!!!! FIGHT!!! I know his as a musician & he is a good one
We absolutely agree! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Be safe and enjoy the rest of your evening!
I watched an interview with Charlie Pride and he said what Kris could do with words is nothing short of amazing.
Thank you so much for sharing your fondest memories. We're moved! Be safe and have a great evening ♥
So privileged to have his music/acting talent produced within my lifetime, a gentleman and scholar.

at the last minute, Kris agreed to sing in a small bar during Calgary Stampede & I was lucky enough to be there. Very iconic. Totally captivating.
Kris was the reason I played the guitar and sang his songs. Best voice ever.

I saw the Highwaymen at the county fair in Bakersfield years ago 👍 excellent show
We met once at the Universal commissary my dad worked at Technicolor as a celluloid cinematic mechanical engineering buyer when Technicolor was
Still located on Lankershim blvd.

Thank you for all time classic "Me and Bobby McGee". Great songwriter. 👍😊
I pray he stays on Earth for awhile longer. What a great entertainer.
Thanks for all the memories and the great music Chris

He is not dead.He is alive and well living in Hawaii.

I remember him mostly from Convoy and Fire down below movies.
But as a country listner I've know him all my life. Earliest memory of his songs is Convoy as it was on a trucker cassette which were very popular in the 80s.
Thank you, Kris, for all the years of smiles, tears & inspiration with which you’ve gifted us. I pray the news is inaccurate. We could use another century with you. God bless, Sir. ML&R, Joe

Kris has had an amazing over the top career. I feel honored to be living in this era to listen to his music as well as his movies. If any young children were looking for a hero, I would hope they would pick Kris. They couldn’t go wrong with Kris to look up to. See you later Kris. I loved every minute of the course. Blessings ❤
Had the pleasure of opening for him at a benefit in northern California , was the nicest coolest guy ! He used my microphone to sing through 😊
I have all his LPs … still have them though i don’t play his songs on my turntable anymore, ever since the digital age began. I have been a fan of his music since I first discovered him in the early 70’s.

Kris Kristofferson...what's not to love? And he was the cutest little boy...And a Rhodes Scholar, And a musician, And a song writer, And an actor, And someone who always seemed like a good man.
Both! I loved his music & his acting.

The only man in the music industry that hasn’t let drugs ,sex, rock and roll addle his brain. A true legend.
Kris Kristofferson is multitalented. enjoyed his works,
here is three Kris Kristofferson quotes I love it show a
caring side to him. best wishes to Kris Kristofferson
and his family.
"Tell the truth. Sing with passion. Work with laughter.
Love with heart. 'Cause that's all that matters in the end."
Kris Kristofferson
"Roy Orbison was one of the genuinely nicest persons I've ever known.
With one of the most beautiful voices in the history of recorded music
he could easily have had an opera star's ego, but he was one of the
humblest, kindest, sweetest human beings to grace this planet.
This in spite of the enormous tragedies in his life. A brave,
beautiful blessing of a man."
Kris Kristofferson
"I grew up in a time when people believed in duty, honor and country.
My grandfathers were both officers. My father was a General in the Air Force.
My brother and I were both in the Army. I've always felt a kinship with soldiers;
I think it's possible to support the warrior and be against the war."
Kris Kristofferson
I remember him in Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. His first album with Rita Coolidge also. My biggest memory though is his song about meeting Jesus and his interview about it. He was completely bewildered.I hope he has sorted out his faith and with the apostle Paul say; for me to live is Christ ; and to die is gain… That’s worth more than all this earth can offer anyone.
He was an incredible song writer. I admire him greatly.

No, he can't die.
I don't want him to.
Wish I had a say in it.
I just loved him for years .I'm 80 years old
He can't die befor me.
I loved the Highwaymen
All those guy can't be replaced.
He is a musical genius. Love him.
I was in the movie Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid as an extra, riding horses and doubling for some of the stars distant shots on horses. It was an honor to be around a cast of legends in that movie.
That's really cool! Love that movie😊

@@aaronm.1998let's not cover him up yet he's still alive. Who know he may even write a few more hit songs 😂
I've seen him here in Brisbane at a small venue,
where it was just Kris and his acoustic guitar. I cherish the memories of both events. However there was something warm and personal about
that smaller auditorium performance. As an amateur songwriter just 11 years his junior, his songwriting talents have had a massive influence
on me. His subject matter and his colorful way of story telling in his songs are unequalled. Well, Willie Nelson and Tom T. Hall may be in the
same class, but Kris just rides the song writing wave like no other.
We're very happy to know that you're a fan of Kris. Thank you so much for sharing your life story. Which of his songs appealed to you the most?
No matter what he did whether it was writing songs or acting. He was great at all about the song did he wrote the best song was why me, Lord there’s a story behind that when he got saved.

God bless you kris...I know you know The Lord....and you have been a blessing as you served Him!🤗🤗🎆
Always been a fan but he had me at Why Me Lord! 🤗❤️✨
Thank you so much for your beautiful message for Kris. We're moved. Be safe and have a great evening.
Pity.
