      I really need these videos. I can't walk without a cane. I need my hip replaced but have to lose 60 lbs before Dr will do surgery. I've been struggling finding ways to exercise without doing more damage to my hip and limited mobility now. I'm excited you have chair exercises to get me started. Thanks!!

    Hi Mike, Thanks for this seated warmup! Today my right hip ached doing a walking workout, so I switched to you and this seated routine. It was great, and I’m going on to another seated one. I usually stand but today I couldn’t, so thanks for an alternative! 🌼

    I just started as an activities/Life Enrichment Director for an ALF, I've been working there before the position became available and noticed these types of things were lacking...I'm 40yrs old and out of shape...followed all the steps of this video and I'm ready for a nap...super excellent work though, very easy for seniors to do, I'm going to be using these as a guide, you are super appreciated.

    Wow, a really well rounded warm-up! I crave variety and an additional warm-up is great. I always get excited when I see new routines of all types in my in-box. This one offered variations on themes peppered with surprising little additions, changes in sequencing, and a rock em sock em finale: pumping up upper body with boxing and the classic lower body marching. Mike, your imagination has never failed us. Thank you much...Anastasia

    Dear Mike My son recently suffered a trapped nerve in his right neck region which has caused extreme agony for the last three months. Now that he is free of the initial pain, he has been left with an extremely weak right hand: he can't throw a dart. Could you please suggest a long-term pathway for him to regain his health? It's as though he has had a small stroke at the age of 57. I'll get him to link with you, as we have done. Patrick and I have followed you for nearly 3 years and could't do without you.

    So I'm not a senior person (I'm 28yo), but having not done any sports since more than 10 years, I've significantly lost physical capabilities, mainly on the hips & core. Here's 2 examples of my exercise troubles:
    _ if normal people are able to squat / sit naturally, I can't even flex my knees with my arms extended without shaking my legs. I must support myself on an upper solid surface to hold my descent to the sitting level, same for getting up; & no, even placing my hands on my knees doesn't make the move easier. I highly suspect I might have a good dose of arthritis in my knees...
    _ in every video roughly titled "Workout for Overweight / Sedentary People", there's always (or in 95% of those) the famous "glutes / hip bridge"; you lay down on the ground, knees bended at 90 degrees, hands behind your head, & you lift your buttocks a few inches/cm, then come back down & repeat X times. Easy for some, but totally impossible for me. How so? Well, the best I can describe my issue would be this: each time I engage my lower core muscles (the Belt), for some reason my lungs lock themselves, stopping my breath & I can't lift my bottom not even a few inches, but a few Millimeters (less than 5).
    This major issue is also found in my squat problem, & basically in every "functional" exercise: can't move my legs sideways, wall pushups only a few toes away... Even my physical therapist is having trouble finding the right "educational" exercises to tone down this breathing issue. Lack of cognitive physical development, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis? If even my appointments with him aren't sufficient for this massive problem, he seriously thinks of redirecting me to a PRH, or a "Physical Rehab Facility", geared mainly for seniors & people who recovered from a long hospital stay.
    With all that said, I wanted to quickly mention that this video is both simple, comprehensive, & easy to follow.
    Thank you for reading my long explanation.

    Is it better to repeat the same exercise everyday or different exercises

    • @MoreLifeHealth
      @MoreLifeHealth  3 года назад

      Hey Nadia. This is actually quite a complex question. 🙂 It depends on many factors, mainly for what reason you're doing the exercise. For example, if your goal is to just get moving more to get the general benefit of exercise, doing different exercise is fine. It can be better in the way that you're less likely to get bored and therefore more likely to keep it up long term. However, if your goal is to improve strength or balance, as another example, it's better to stay consistent with the strength and balance exercises to get the benefit before changing it up. This does not have to be every day, but say 3x a week will see good results.
