It is so good to have a very caring, young professional guiding us through great exercises that are so important dealing with our age related problems. .
The first exercise I thought easy, second exercise, well OK , by the third I had changed into a the original wobbling jelly & laughed & wobbled all over the place! More practise with that one.
    Thank you 😂

Will, thanks for your video's. I've ordered your book; it should arrive tomorrow. I'm 76 years old and at this point I'm still pretty active. However, I watched my father, who passed away several years ago at 94 years old, deteriorate over the years because he wouldn't do the things he needed to do to maintain his lifestyle. I don't want to end up like him. Thanks for helping us old people maintain active lives. BTW, I live in Concord, NC USA..

Thank you for ordering my book, I hope you find it packed with useful and interesting information! I'm sorry to hear about your father's passing and that he struggled in the years prior. Well done on the efforts you're making to focus on your health and to keep yourself active. I'm wishing you all the best :)

Your advice to get yourself checked: This reminded me of a time when I began losing my balance frequently - to the point of feeling as though gravity was no longer ‘vertical’. Went to GP after tipping over onto a wall heater; was thoroughly checked out for inner-ear problems, and GP recognised that a blood pressure pill I was taking had been leaching potassium from my system. Changed the meds, and gravity was soon back to vertical!

I'm 76 and this is the most valuable balance advice I've so far received. My problem started becoming apparent 20 years ago and has progressively worsened. If I'd known then to do what this video taught me, I'd be much more stable today. Heartfelt thanks.

I just turned 80 and am in excellent health with good mobility. Nevertheless, for the first time in my life I have begun (in earnest) to pay attention to my balance and stability and to the health of my feet, all aspects of my health that I have more or less taken for granted previously, all of which have diminished perceptibly over the past 5 years as well. And just as I am getting stoked to act on this new health awareness I accidentally bumble into your excellent videos, which I have been gobbling up. I leave in September for an ambitious trip to Europe that will involve, as always, much walking. My goal is to integrate these balance exercises into my daily routine so that when September rolls around I am at a much improved level of balance and stability, not to mention safety. Thank you for these exercises, Will.

I’m 74 with double knee replacements since 2007. I don’t get on my knees, always uncomfortable even on mattresses. Last couple of years been falling. These exercises I will try. I walk around telling myself to pick up my feet. Last fall in November scared me pretty bad. Blowing leaves, stepped off a patio,, not deep and cleared, but somehow went down and hit a low stone bench. Little sratched beside eye and on top of ear. Bleeds some and black eye. Didn’t black out, no dizziness, didn’t hurt much either. I was lucky, could have been much worse. Really need to watch myself. Happy New Year!

Very great exercises . I’ve had two serious foot operations since 2018 and a total knee replacement last year. One of those exercises, the second one my PT had me doing on balance pads . I bought a couple balance pads off Amazon to do them at home . The third exercise is a another great exercise, similar to one’s done on a step to gain your quad and glut strength. Thanks for caring about us as we get older . Never thought about this when I was younger and playing sports . God bless you .

Forget the Yoga! Hiking in the countryside is the very best exercise you can do to improve balance. Walking over uneven ground causes you to strengthen muscles, tendons and bones. It also creates neural connections which help with balance. Eventually you should be able to put socks and shoes on while balancing on one leg with no other support. I am 75 and can do that easily after years of hiking. All types of indoor ‘exercises’ are a poor substitute.

Great videos you are putting out! Wonderful advice. I have also found, that to improve balance and health in general, Transcendental Meditation twice a day is extremely beneficial. And as you may know, there are hundreds of scientific studies, published in top peer-reviewed journals showing the benefits are real, for mind, body and behavior.

I find the star exercise easier than the 2nd exercise; I think it is because we do this every day in gym class. Frequency equals ease!

Those 3 exercises are brilliant. I've been doing them for a few weeks now, but am wondering why is one leg better at balancing than the other? In my case I find all the exercises easy when my right leg is the "standing" leg, but am much less balanced with the left. Some days it takes a number of attempts to balance on my left and it is always more "jittery" (for want of a better word 😂)

"Swaying"??? I was "toppling". Found this difficult. Have to practice and persevere with this. Gotta get my balance improved. A challenge!

How is playing table tennis to our balance ? I am 83 and play for 73 years and have got excellent balance. No exercises necessary only playing table tennis and try to win.

I played tennis until I was 83 so I also had good balance but had my first fall on the court when I broke a wrist. 4 hour operation, all good and broke the same wrist 6 months later. No more tennis now working on Wills videos, thank you Will, excellent clear instructions on how to keep going at age 86
