This race was great if you enjoy Daytona and Talladega as they are raced now. I personally do not, I would rather have 5 cars in lead lap with winner winning by 5 seconds then have the disaster that was last night, and has been since 2000's. Call me old, dumb, whatever that is just my personal preference. Also, races should end under caution. This stupid "overtime" crap really gets to me. It does nothing but ruin the race in my opinion. But again this is why I don't really watch NASCAR too much anymore. One thing though that i am not sure about is the rules for when a caution is thrown after the white flag. I seem to remember that any other time this happened they would show a replay to show when the Yellow lights came on and who was in front. Now is it who was in front at that time or does it go back to the last scoring loop? Which in this case i assume the last scoring loop was the finish line. But if they go by when yellow comes out Bowman was half a car length ahead at that time. I assume its the scoring loop but i tried to search but just could not find an explanation on the rules for this.

Stages are not the problem, but the playoffs if they keep doing it(which they will) needs to be just the last 10 races of the year with no resets during those 10 races. Nascar has royally messed up who is the champion. I can live with stage racing, not the end of the world. This race had plenty of green flag pit stops and a good flow to the race.

@@Foxfire_forty-nine firstly, he dived to the outside to block chastain, it was basically a swerve and the turbulence caused those behind to get loose and then driving with his mirror he moved again to block Chastain.Forcing Chastain into a loose Cindric who was moving up the track.Thats exactly what happened. Not forgetting his involvement in putting half the others out a few laps earlier.Blocking is acceptable, but to do it so late and so quickly is just stupid.I hope he eats the fence in Atlanta
