A while ago i saw something on Twitter where Zelda was able to move *immediately* after fully charging her Phantom. Would you mind labbing that ? I’ve tried but I have the execution timing of a diseased goat.
Add in displacing phantom and it's even better

What? That just how it is. Once it's fully charge you can do anything. Like try buffering jump, there's no cool down to fully charge phantom.

Oooooohhhhh this explains a lot. Yesterday I fought a Mewtwo who spammed the hell out of confusion once I got to high percent. I was wondering what that was about.
Appreciate the attention, m2 needs more. But this was discovered at least in a theoretical sense early on. The main issue is that m2 has no trouble killing, and even if he doesnt find the kill then uthrow works on most characters by 150. So the main situations this is useful is if they are likely to shield on the ground when between 140 and 150, or when shieding on a platform above 140... Not exactly crazy common stuff.
Cant wait to see more content though. If you want to test something else out for m2. Close hit dtilt (which comboes from sb) can combo into a slightly delayed shff nair which can pop up into another one on pop up or maybe if they land grounded could combo into footstool>disable. But nair is extremely inconsistent and we cant figure out exactly how it works. Figuring out how nair works could not only help landing nair comboes like that but also make 0-deaths like fcsb>dtilt>fhnair (hitting forward)>djuair>fair a consistent thing.

The same frame advantage mechanic happens with Isabelle's jab, except it's even better than Snake's down throw and Mewtwo's side special because it technically doesn't have set knockback. What this means is that it doesn't have a cap and it even gets higher with rage, though higher weight will likewise make it lower. It's amazing how so few people know about this and how everyone says it's one of the worst jabs in the game when it's actually the best, lol. Could definitely be worth making a video on.
I knew you got frame advantage based on percent but I never thought that it mattered on anything else. Thanks so much for this video!

Beambam hitbox is on frame 4 but the invincibility is frame 1.

Also, when it came to characters jumping out of endlag, their hurtbox shifts differently if they doublejump in neutral position vs doublejumping away. In my experiences with S4, jumping toward & jumping in neutral were the same for most fighters, but jumping back was different. Just a little thought.

Wisnam He plays considerably different from his Smash 4 counterpart and we’ve been nerfed to a mid-low tier, if that affects your viewpoint going into it. He’s still a crazy fun character in this game.

Thanks for noticing. I’ve been noticing dragdown nair after confusion spparently has applications as Nair also comes out frame 7. It always seems to pop them behind mewtwo afterwards although I’m not sure if the fullhop and shorthop versions get different results in that regard.

Idk I feel like if they roll behind you after the spaced fair on shield and you buffer the confusion that's a free f smash or any kind of punish tbh especially because of mew2's tail hurtbox
So in short, confusion is only slightly less useless now that we know it works best when used with a Fair.
Now *this* is the character-specific tech I was waiting to see. Not that Ice Climbers blasphemy

Kirby's dtilt (when it doesn't trip) also has increased frame advantage the higher percent they are、although it's just a fringe kill setup for Kirby himself、it could translate to other characters with moves that force people to slide when they get hit similar to Kirby dtilt.
oh and something important is Villager's Lloyd Rocket comes out frame 1 and fresh mewtwo fair does enough damage to explode it - activate "lloyd counter"
stale fair just hits us but if fair is fresh and we're both high percent, mewtwo could literally just die instead.
Ken also gets +1 at higher percents for crescent kick. The balancing team really knows what they're doing.

I suppose this can help with Mewtwo metagame, strong kill confirm from a command grab at the cost of having Mewtwo’s entire tail be a hurtbox. Its huge.

I do confusion with mostly smash attacks all the time but I never did one with out jumping unless I need to get back on the platform without getting hit
Confusion > a smash attack will usually whiff at lower percents, especially if they don’t DI. Fair or dtilt are great options if you can land them, or you could pursue their reaction, like a tech chase

I saw SDX do a side B to F air on a Wolf at 165%, I think it was even possible in Smash 4
I believe the move didn't have the scaling property it does now in 4 and was slightly "better" overall. Notably, how it didn't halt his momentum. As I never faithfully played with or against the character, idk if confusion set ups were 50/50s or true combos in 4
when i used to try this move my attacks always go right through the enemies... like they were airdodging, but they werent.
You forgot to mention how when somebody is on the lower Battlefield platforms or Pokemon Stadium platforms how you could do a short hop and then instantly cancel the height of it with confusion to be able to beat shields on platforms. There are a couple characters where I think you could uptilt them but doesn't kill I quit Mewtwo just before I found it out.

I wonder if there are more grabs/commend grabs with the same properties.
I like this tech and this video, problem is decent amounts of frame confusion frame advantage kinda happens a little late when a tomahawk grab upthrow would do just fine for all but the heaviest boys. Just seem pretty extra considering how on point your opponent has to be for this bad boy to be busted out
You can also use it from farther ranges and on platform campers, and there's no harm in at least attempting it before 140%
Follow up question: How do you buffer a full hop aerial? If you buffer both a hop and an aerial it comes out as a short hop due to the game auto-shortening your hops when you press any other button.
you can't buffer full hop aerial. You can only buffer full hop specials, air dodges and double jumps
