    I gotta get smile done in january; got -7.25 & -9.0. I was a bit scared, because the doctor told me that you can't get another correction done after smile, while you can get as many lasik surgeries as you need. but your video helped me taking away the fear! thanks, and cheers for a life without glasses!

    • @manugill4242
      @manugill4242 3 года назад

      Hey, how did the surgery go?

    • @pkstaytrue
      @pkstaytrue 3 года назад

      Hey, thanks for asking.
      The surgery itself was totally free of pain.
      I felt well treated and like I was in good hands.
      They explained every single step really well, and the whole process took like 2-3 hours if I remember it right.
      The surgery itself would have taken like maybe 5 minutes, but I also got some gold flitter implants, so it took about 15-20 minutes for me, because the doctor wanted to align the flitters perfectly.
      I only felt a little "scratch" when the lasered material got removed from my eyes, but it was really nothing to worry about.
      After the surgery everything was really bright and blurry for a couple of days.
      I remember that it got quite good after a week or so, and it took about a month overall until I could see really really good.
      I still got ~ -0.75 on my left eye, while my right eye got perfect sight now.
      I should do a correction with another type of surgery (can't remember the name of it, sorry; but it's the type where they cut off material and laser beneath it), but I have to admit that I haven't done it yet because of the pandemic situation in my country.
      Long story short: I can only recommend getting a SMILE-surgery done!
      I wish I would have done it sooner, and you shouldn't be afraid of getting it done at all.
      Being able to see good without being reliant on glasses is such an incredible feeling.
      If you had to wear glasses for more than 25 years like I did, life really feels different after getting it done.
      PS: I have to admit that I even kind of enjoyed the surgery.. lol
      May sound weird, but I'm a big sci-fi nerd, and that surgery almost felt like something out of a movie haha

      He’s only been doing smile surgery for one year so I think he’s still figuring it out. But he’s going to guarantee five years to touch up my eye as many times as necessary.
