These guys have played together for so many years, they know perfectly how to fit into the ensemble and blend their style in harmony. Eric's voice is still smooth and rich, and he still makes the guitar sing beautifully. His world class band mates play incredibly well together. I like that Eric and the band can bring easy, acoustic soul to a song we're used to hearing electric and loud. JJ Cale crafted great songs, and this is more proof of that. I'm grateful that Eric is releasing "The Lady In the Balcony". God bless Eric for continuing to perform with such heart, and his band mates as well.

@@thegreatchain7112 After Cream and Blind Faith EC's vocals and guitar style without any doubt were strongly influenced by JJ and for sure helped him to get back on track after a long period of problems. He played JJ's song "After Midnight" on his first solo album, he got a smash hit with JJ's "Cocaine" on "Slowhand", he played JJ's songs over and over again live, he did an album with JJ ("The Road To Escondido"), played some concerts with him and did an appreciation album for the late JJ, one of his best friends. So there's no reason to get excited about Brendan Tindalls's post.

I think good old EC likes his luxury bespoke cars, watches, and other perks of his career quite a bit. Otherwise, he could have retired from planks a long time ago and record the occasional studio album. Cheers!

      @SophieBelleClapton
Eric Clapton for me is more than a music icon. It is not possible to tell the history of music without mentioning Clapton and his entire legacy. I've been a fan of his since the Cream days, where with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker he already made the sound that would become characteristic of him. I really like Clapton's "blues" phase, with strong influences from his friend B.B. King,
to which he did several wonderful shows...
I like Clapton in all his nuances and phases and, as I said, for me he is a Fenix. Everyone thinks it's gone and, without anyone expecting it, it is reborn from the ashes with something wonderful. There are some songs from his repertoire that, knowing how it was made and composed, left me feeling like,
ecstatic. The song "My Father’s Eyes" for example. Through the story of him not knowing his father, he was able to see him through his son's eyes. I can spend hours and hours here talking about the guitar god...
Like I said, I'll finally get to watch it live. I'm going to make a big dream come true...

This Magic Man (mr.Eric Clapton) has a boat load of old favorites. All real music that could touch your soul. How cool could it be for him to tune up some more to bring back the so missed, real deal music. Lost souls could not help, but to dump rap, and chemistry country music for good, and then be born again. Born to music that makes friends and great to dance to. And music to cry too. Music that makes us think. Real, genuine, advanced entertainment .Music that makes you want to live] more, so you can keep hearing the Music. GOOD music can rebuild our minds...and bring back smiles.

Gracias a Eric Clapton. Y a su enorme banda con Nathan East en el Bajo, Steve Gadd en la batería y Chris Stainton en los Teclados. Simplemente un testimonio de arte, música, creatividad y de la historia de las últimas 4 décadas del entorno musical mundial. 🍷🌟

You know it's a truly great song when it can constantly be recrafted to reveal even more of its musical depth. When it comes to JJ Cale's songs, nobody understood them better than Eric Clapton. THis is a beautiful nuanced cover.

@Eric Claptonmusicinc, It's a great pleasure to hear Éric and all the musicians (violoncelle, piano, drums) playing together After Midnight !
I hope I can see Éric and Musicians on Shows one day, in France.
When I was working in Paris, 1985-1989, I was often listening to know the days of the show, but I think I had to go to England to see Éric Clapton.
I'm a fan of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Beatles, Stones, Blues, B. B. King, Lucky Peterson (Life is Blues).
These last weeks, I appreciate to listen to your songs because I catched the Covid 19 with three vaccins Pfeizer, I'm better but I was very tired.
One Song I like by Éric Clapton is "Knocking on heaven's door, the rythm, the voice, all is very nice...
I like also Toby Lee, and all the fingerstyles like Andy Mac Kee, Calum Graham, Mike Dawes, Preston Reed, I like so much Guitars..
Have a nice Sunday, nice week, waiting for your Wonderful Music.
      I'm living in Marseilles.
Take care of all of you.

I like this version so much and I greatly appreciate also the historical band ...a good appreciation also to the Values of experience, friendship through the years and the joy of playing together also in so diffiucult times .
