To everyone saying how much easier/cheaper it would be to buy a new one: LV products are discontinued after a set time/volume. She even says this in the intro. BTW: It doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman; slashing up someone's belongings out of spite says volumes about you. Be better.
Luxury repair for this item, from my knowledge depending on the damage and what is requested to be changed (or fixed), probably was around $600. The value of the bag definitely isn't worth as what it originally costed, but you must consider the sentimental value the person went to get it fixed; you have to remember this is important to her, and her ex saw that, hence why he slashed it. I think the repair was well worth it. In a way, it's her way of saying she's moved on from him and is fine--better--without him

I’ve heard that before. These designer companies don’t want their extra products to to end up on the secondary (cheaper) market (i.e stores like TJ Maxx ) so they’d rather burn their excess inventory to keep their brands exclusive (expensive)
I have one HIDUPZ bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
Staples have been used to secure the bag while stitching since I was a child in the 60’s. My grandfather fixed Hermes and Louis V bags the same way 45 years ago.
I think LV bags are crazy overpriced, but i do admire the craftmanship of this repair. I wonder were they got the repair material? They seem to cut up some big pieces when it would seem more logical to me that they'd be using the smallest possible piece of fabric (and save the big pieces for when they have to repair a bigger bag)
The LV logos are centered so they have to put the template where the LV logo will be centered again that why they have to use a peice big enough to match the original patten exactly and as LV won't sell spare material it has to come from recycled bags thats why it looks quite wasteful but thats the only way to get an excact match.
Hopefully in this case she wasn't cheating on him and he had bought the bag for her because...I would have probably done the same thing. However if he just did that out of spite in the heat of an argument, he's crazy af!
Like you tell g how was damaged. Some people do that so we start anew. Good video. Found Gucci wallet at thrift store. Think may give it a go from tips online. Because am milliner think will try some restoration tips. Thank you much.
2000$ okay. Bought some in the 90s and later and imho i never paid prices like that high. Ok for „small“ products. Same with MCM and Mulberry and even Hermes. Belts or purses… Looks good like it.
The Restoration was excellent. But wow, the leather for a LV bag is very thin and not much there, basically several pieces of thin leather , probably the cheap leather too, and GLUE on a 2k+ bag? Much cheaper bags with basically the same amount of leather, in terms of thickness and quality leather. i would argue some bags probably have more craftsmanship in them then LV. This video just confirms again to me why some luxury items really are just for the brand name flex
Pretty sure most bags are first glued before stitching. Its to hold the bag together n prevent it from moving while they do the actual stitching. Also those glues r strong, can even glued together metals.
After researching the history of great assets such as real estate, dividend-paying stocks, gold, oil, and other commodities, Ive come to the conclusion that most excellent assets never come down to the price you want to acquire them at. Simply get the ones you can afford right now.

Fanny pack and belt bag are two different things. Belt bag would be considered as a “waist bag”, as it normally goes over the shoulder and hangs crossbody. Fanny packs sit on the waist and would be more considered as a “belt” bag
She stated in the beginning that the bag is discontinued. So it's the owner's only option if she wants this exact bag, unless she wants to try any buy one from another person with the same bag. But, I assume it'd be harder to find one from someone else selling that exact bag from 2003 in good condition.
