You talk a lot about the Penetrator, but I love the Defender and it's ability to turn some marginal rounds into legitimate defensive rounds. (.32 acp, .380 acp & .38 spl) I also like the concept of utilizing the 68gr projectile in the 9mm (especially the +P version) for carbine usage where velocities should be high enough to cause hydrostatic shock so it can perform more like a rifle than a handgun.
The BEST self defense ammo IMHO is produced by Underwood. Their Extreme Defender ammunition is a quantum leap in defensive handgun performance. I say this because of a Federal Agency ammunition specification writing background. This ammunition is equal to or surpasses all hollow point designs, but can not “dam up” on other materials as sometimes can occur with hollow point ammo.
Not that I'm anybody special but I'm just curious on why Underwood was known for their hot ammunition but as we get later into their career their ammunition is becoming less and less consistent on velocities versus one box to another😢😢😢😢
I’m still concerned with feeding. It seems to me exact bullet would present differently when it hits the feed ramp. One might be on a ridge and the next one might be on a flute. They sound kind of clunky when you manually rack the slide. Am I worrying too much?
The company SUCKS! I was a good customer directing tons of home school family types in their direction. Then I get an EMAIL FROM AMY at Underwood stating I sent them a bogus email with threats and VULGAR. I can spell pretty well and the nature and spelling was all creepy. Underwood attacked me for sending a correspondence I did not initiate! WTF. So I am now a Double-tap customer. And,,,will make sure none of our family friends do business with UNDERWOOD. Amy is a clue to their model! Good bye Underwood and thank you Amy for your heads up!!

Hydrostatic shock is hard to achieve and even at 2200 2300 fps it visually doesn't do much until you got enough energy to match a 7.62 39

Noticed many of your .357 sig loads have been falling off in energy and Velocity... any reason in particular ?? We like our full house. 357 sig ..
I bought 500 rounds of "45 Colt 250 grain Xtreme Penetrators" for hunting and bear defense. I feel adequately armored for both.
Is there a big difference between the penetrators and the penetrators platinum?
I would love to work there
I use Underwood Xtreme Defender. With all the gun control I expect a lead ban .
Wow. Talk about all over the place. Hey underwood, don't put these clowns back on RUclips. Its ruining the rep of your company.
