@shadownetspy95 Is there another use for the interwebs? Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the comment section, no? Do all the comments have to be positive? OK, this is positively the worst taproot song I've heard. I would positively prefer to hear anything from Something more than Nothing which kicked ass!
Reactivating this one! TAPROOT FUCKING ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!! Been a fan since they started years ago I love every one of them taproot doesn't make bad music.
I hate when people say stuff like this on videos of meaning. Maybe on a rap or hip hop video where they purposely degrade women, but why on a song that means so much? Listen to the words...enjoy the music for what it is.
I actually like some of the some on Blue Sky Research...Forever Endevor, So Eager, Lost in The Woods...are pretty good songs. Taproot still is one of my favorite bands. Our Long Road is a great album.
Gift is the best and only true Taproot album. Gift is what Taproot was all about. After GIft it all went fake and commercial, under the pressure of the music business I guess.
Gotta agree, there not the same band i fell in love with, with Gift. Blue Sky Research was a disappointment, but OLRH was better. Still i miss the old Taproot. I could just put Gift on repeat and drown the night away.
I never said you weren't entitled to your opinion. And yes, in comparison to their older music, this shit does suck. But my point isn't that, my point is, Taproot IS a great band. And this song isn't THAT bad. It's the only decent song they have left. Their other new songs are absolutely ridiculously horrid. So you gotta have at least a ounce of credit for this one. And you don't need to attack people just because they are supporting Taproot. True fans die hard. I still love them, reguardless.
@0Ubiquitous0 Something more than Nothing and Mentobe ROCKED! I downloaded both of them when they were availabe but now you can't find them anywhere. First two albums with Atlantic were good. I'm sure they're good dudes, I just think they've gotten watered down. The rapcore stuff was brilliant. I wish they'd done more of that. If their only motivation for recording an album now is sales, then they've sold out and I'll pass. But what do I know, I'm just a douche!
@xr0ckd011x I am a fan of their old shit because it rocked. I am not a fan of their new stuff because it sucks. Do you understand now? They are talented because they can probably still remember how to play their old stuff before they started sucking. I will continue to bad mouth their stuff that sucks, but you go right ahead and enjoy the suck and I'll continue calling them as I see them.
I don't know.. they aren't the same for me. I know bands change. EX: Chevelle, Deftones, Dredg, Incubus.. but I still felt like it was their style.. like they're still doing what they want to do. Taproot decided to go to a more, radio-friendly style.. and I feel it's only because they found their fan base that way.
@bendtheski --yeah they've changed a bit, but theyre still just as talented. You know how hard it is to come up with new shit nowadays? SO many songs out there. Its hard to come up with something new. Yet they still come up with great concepts for their songs. Dont bad mouth them you know theyre still a great band.
I'm so upset I never heard this song until now. I loved Taproot, I graduated high school when this released and had no clue about it. Damn. Better late than never. I really wish this was still mainstream.
@xr0ckd011x I was only a little sexist. C'mon, it IS a chick song. Come to think of it, most of their songs are about chicks and broken relationships. Some just rock more than others. Wonder what Slipknot's up to lately?
@xr0ckd011x If someone in real life were carrying on about what a great taproot song this is, I would tell them it sucks compared to some of their other stuff. If they got all butt-hurt I'd probably laugh at them!
Nothing personal, but have you lost your fucking mind? Our Long Road Home doesn't hold a candle to any of the first 3 albums, especially Gift and Welcome. I guess OLRH is good if you don't like any of their other music
A "bad ass with a keyboard"... in real life Im sure you wouldnt talk nearly as much trash to random people like you do on youtube. Because yeah, it takes SO much courage to do it online right? *rolls eyes*
Gift was their bast album IMO. Now they sound like incubus/breaking ben/most of the radio trash. Don't get me wrong Incubus and Breaking Ben are good, they're just overly played by mainstream.
@xr0ckd011x I know no such thing. Welcome was their last good album, period. This is watered down chick music, and look, you just happen to be a chick defending them. I rest my case.
Have loved this band since they started in 98. I think it's great he's exploring his vocal talent. I like it when bands experiment with different sounds, shows they are talented.
I'm sorry but, Taproot used to be my favorite discovery. I downloaded "Something More Than Nothing" back in 2000 and I waited for "Gift" to launch on my birthday (June 27th, of 2001) and they were so heavy and original and.. had this unconventional flow about them.. and then they go and do this shit music. What the hell Taproot? I don't even like wearing my "Gift" t-shirt in fear people will think I like this newer album..
First listen, and I must say that I like the direction in which this guys have gone. The singer's style has become much more unique as time and albums have gone by. The vid is ok, I guess. Its understandable that budgets for videos have gone bad because its no longer as profitable as it used to be. Anyway, the vid is also stylish, the girl is super hot. It's good enough. The interlude sounded a bit odd, gotta give it a couple of new listens.
@XinBiDe Ummm, when someone says "This band rocks", they mean that they like the band and think the music is good. DUH. Therefore, I meant that Taproot's music used to be good and I used to like it.
@bendtheski How do I need to get a life? I am watching a video for a band that I truly enjoy listening to and supporting. You are watching videos of a band you don't like. Need I say more? :)
Still love this song even though it's by far not one of their best. I didn't think "Plead the Fifth" was too bad of an album. For sure not as good as Welcome and Gift though.
i rented a car and found taproots album in it and i put it on and i thought :O WOW
Still listening in 2020!
These were the best
Still listening also great band
@@CarlosGonzalez_753 amazing, I miss this music so much
@@alexbucko48 same here, love them
Still listening in 2023!!!

GIFT was the best Taproot album. IMO. But Welcome AND Blue Sky Research were great.. just not liking this album at ALL!
Taproot is and forever will be one of my favorites, all 5 CDs are each amazing and have there own style!!
Great band! Wish they had more attention!
Awesome song, like Poem, Myself, Again and Again, Sumtimes.
This band jusat plays hreat music from the heart!
Reactivating this one! TAPROOT FUCKING ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!! Been a fan since they started years ago I love every one of them taproot doesn't make bad music.
I like the "moody" feel that Taproots music has. Its kinda like Evans Blue before they got the new vocalist.
Was listening to Linkin Park and saw Stephen Richards was featured in one of their songs. Just thought I'd check his band out and they rock xD
I hate when people say stuff like this on videos of meaning. Maybe on a rap or hip hop video where they purposely degrade women, but why on a song that means so much? Listen to the words...enjoy the music for what it is.
That little breakdown at 2:45!
The drums go out soft and then boom!! Comes back heavier
Love this song. Taproot never gets old!
I actually like some of the some on Blue Sky Research...Forever Endevor, So Eager, Lost in The Woods...are pretty good songs. Taproot still is one of my favorite bands. Our Long Road is a great album.
this my friends is music.
Still listen to taproot to this very day in 2024.............. and this is definitely one of there best....... if not the best 🤘🏻
Love this song from Taproot! Played very little on the radio which is too bad! Kinda sounds like Evans Blue and We Came As Romans with this song!
Still listening in 2022!!!
Gift is the best and only true Taproot album. Gift is what Taproot was all about. After GIft it all went fake and commercial, under the pressure of the music business I guess.
So dumb this album isn't on spotify but every other one is
taproot is the best of the best ... taproot really rock ....greattt...
this is only one of the most amazing songs ever! and it has really nice lyrics! Taproot forever guys!
Still listening in 2021!!!
i wish someone could upload the song Mine from taproot, thats a really nice song.
best song was and is Poem
Gotta agree, there not the same band i fell in love with, with Gift. Blue Sky Research was a disappointment, but OLRH was better. Still i miss the old Taproot. I could just put Gift on repeat and drown the night away.
Corey Eacret Go listen to Blue Sky Research again. It took me a couple of times but now it's my personal favorite. Might do the same for you.
I love this song and album, as I always do with all of Taproot music. However, this video is subpar. Maybe saving money for their new album?
Love this
song reminds me of my ex girlfriend.
Para ti boluda, I really like being with you!!!!! No se vale llorar, ni sufrir, solo reir y acordarte de mi lol

@xr0ckd011x I don't rip on all Taproot fans, just the ones who get all but-hurt when someone criticizes their favorite song. Thanks for playing!
brings me back times were easier
This band has changed a ton over the years. It's like not even the same band anymore but their still really good.
@xr0ckd011x Not always for the better. Still, hard not to head bang every time I hear pulse of the maggots...
Like I said, I prefer their older stuff. I found Blue Sky a bit bland :p. But to each their own right?
I miss the younger more raw Taproot. This does sound better than their Blue Sky Research album though.
i don't think this album even went gold... as good as they are ...just not whats cool anymore i guess
Have loved this band since they started in 98. I think it's great he's exploring his vocal talent. I like it when bands experiment with different sounds, shows they are talented.
I think this is probably the only good song off this album, in my opinion
One of the best songs these guys ever made
I'm sorry but, Taproot used to be my favorite discovery. Gift came out in 2000
Pretty much me and my ex from 10 years ago.

@irishquirkify Definitely. Motley Crue has a lot of fans and have mad a lot of money. Them sucking is just my opinion.
hi there mate XD I'm looking for clean vocals with some growls and heavy guitarin. Do you know any bands having these qualities?
you should see them do this & every song LIVE it's totally different & kicks ass! Check em out Live on my page!
@0Ubiquitous0 They'd probably be like "Um, I think there's something in my eye. It's very small though".
great song
Such a specific kind of style to this music. I love it.
@xr0ckd011x So you admit I'm a bad ass... Thank you for noticing.
totally recomended, man. Hear it all.
I like path less taken. Sick song.
