I'm 62 and will be 63 in March, I love to crochet. I make Queen size afghans, prayer shawls, hats, scarfs, and one top. I love making this hat, it turned out great and I love how it looks. It was great fun making it.
Thank you for this crochet pattern and I really enjoyed it. I’m using up leftover yarn to make beanies to place on our churches Christmas tree that we donate to the homeless. This gives me another pattern to break away from monotony. You’re a great teacher.
Very easy to follow! It really helped that you meet back up with your watchers at the end of each row. Your extra tips showed me mistakes I've been making for some time. It also helped me when you pointed out the different stitches, such as the chain stitches, the double crochets... I think I finally understand the stitches, now. And on top of your wonderful and upbeat instructions came a gorgeous hat! Thank you!
After nearly fifty thousand hats for charity (over twenty years' work), I am BORED with the same pattern! Thanks so much for a simple and lovely hat pattern for the ladies!
i am having fun folling your instructions and trying to improve my skills! i am loving the wave in design and ur voice and direction is very relaxing! thank you for helping me love crochet!
I've been crocheting over 30 years and went to RUclips for new ideas. You are by far my favorite creator. You don't dumb it down too much for me to loose interest and so have nice fresh creations. You do an awesome job! Thank you!!!!
I knit but now I love crocheting more since I started your tutorial on you tube. You’re a good teacher and I enjoyed your tutorial so relaxing and I just want to keep on crocheting. Thank you !!!!
I made this hat for my mum using cygnet boho spirit yarn and she loves it. I added ear flaps and a chin tie to keep it extra cosy! Great tutorial from my favourite RUclipsr ❤
I just love this pattern! I enjoyed watching your tutorial and I appreciate your excellent camera work and detailed instructions which are so easy to follow.
thank you Craig, on of my new favorite beanie hats, i crochet for the homeless in winter, give boxes away to the Salvation Army, and the homeless shelters, i have used so many of the patterns you have shared, but i just live this swirl pattern, God bless you.
You are amazing. I swear this is the only hat/beanie that actually turned out perfectly for me, on the first try. I love your videos, you explain patterns so well. Thank you for the work you put into these, even if it does add to my WIP pile XD
Wonderful hat pattern!!! I love how mine came out!! I did not use a solid color, I used a very dark camoflage verigated #4 , I stayed with the crochet hook sizes you used and I could not be happier!!! I don't reccommend that a biginer use varigated yarn especiallly a dak varigated yarn only because they will get very confussed!! I have been knitting and crocheting for about 65 years, My grandmother started teaching me to knit at age 3 and whenI wass almost done with my first sweater at age 5, I went to grandma and asked if she would teach me crocheting!! I learned how to do a backward crochet on the opening of that sweater and after that the world of crochect was born!!! I bought every book I could find on both knitting and crochet!! I learned how to read and understand most all the directions for almost anything I wanted to make!! The one thing I never did crochet Were hats!!!! But now at the age of almost 80, Ihave gone wild doing as many hat designs as possible!!! I find that most of the time I want hats for men but depending on the color ways you can use them for women!!! I find you to be an awesome teacher and very easy to follow along with!! It took me about 4 hours to make this hat, because I had to keep stopping every now and then just to give my hands a break!!! And my eyes!! Please do more hat designs!! Thank you so much, take care and stay safe, Vicky from Michigan!!!!!
You are AWESOME! I love your method of teaching, I am isolated in my life, make hats for the homeless and when I listen to you when learning a new pattern I feel that I am with a friend. Your style is so positive, I love your humor. Thank You for all that you do.
