Also he seems like the kind of guy that would likely repair them himself. Doubt he wasted money on any sneakers that are intentionally built to wear quicker and even low quality dress shoes it’s often just a matter of reattaching the bottoms. Getting rubber, animal glue from fat essentially for free isn’t too hard, just time consuming. Solid point regardless though!
