Hi! Looks delish! Can you please tell me: About many servings does the amount of the cottage cheese pizza bowl recipe provide? Looks so yummy I think I’d want to eat the whole batch! 😳😵💫😂
Have you ever tried mixing the cottage cheese to make it more smooth?? I've heard that texture is even more pleasing. Also, separate out the cottage cheese and mix it with and egg or egg white and whip it in a blender. Then grease an oven sheet and pour it over the oven sheet to form a round pizza shape. Bake it in the oven at 400 degrees for 30 minutes and it forms a pizza crust (soft). then putt all the toppings on top and bake for 10 minutes. Looks and tastes like regular pizza.
I’m in with the pizza guy. A cup of cottage cheese in a blender with 2 eggs, is less work, not more. And throw in a couple tablespoons of coconut flour, and it’s not so wet, just better-er. But hey, to each thier own. 🎉
Similar to the cheese portion of lasagna. Will make this & might use some thinly sliced zucchini placed under cheese layer just to get more veggies in .
Grew up before ricotta was so available and mom would make her lasagna with cottage cheese. This reminds me of that. Looks yummy and can’t wait to try it!
This cottage cheese pizza substitute casserole looks delicious! I like things that are quick to fix, and also healthy. Could incorporate lots of healthy ingredients such as veggies. I will definitely be trying this.
I think I’d blend the cottage cheese first so it’s creamy, just to make it look more ricotta-like. The lumps kinda make me queazy but other than that it looks great!
Since this is the exact recipe for lasagna filling, my recipe would add a few eggs to hold it together. made much lasagna and it taste good with the eggs to thicken it.
I don’t know what you could use to thicken it but I just found this and I’m going to try it tomorrow & just squeeze my cottage cheese in a nut milk bag to remove most of the liquid. (cheese cloth I think would work🤷♀️) Wish me luck 👍 Definitely looks delicious but too watery for my liking. Nut milk bags are great for removing excess liquid from foods. I make the cottage cheese flatbread to use for wraps & one brand of cottage cheese I bought was more watery than the other brand I had bought (flatbread didn’t turn out because of the excess liquid) so next batch I just used the nut milk bag to remove some of the liquid & the flatbread turned out perfect👍
@@tonifoster660 I just made this for lunch and OMG so yummy!!!! I did use the nut milk bag to remove all excess liquid from my cottage cheese. Basically ended up with dry cottage cheese and it worked so well 👍I’m looking forward to playing around with ‘toppings’ for this 😋Will also need to start buying my cottage cheese from Costco 🤣
Thank you for pulling your hair back before preparing food (big pet peeve of mine on cooking videos). Also, pre-shredded cheese has cellulose (wood pulp) in it, so thank you for shredding your own cheese. If you burn your mouth on pizza, soup, coffee, tea, etc, take a small amount of REAL sugar (tsp, cube, packet if in restaurant), place on your tongue, close your mouth, and let sugar dissolve slowly. It cuts the pain in half, if not completely, in a few seconds. Been doing this since the early ‘80s.
Love your comment about pulling the hair back! I remember my dad talking about how he didn’t appreciate restaurant workers having their long hair hanging over tables, food, etc., when I was a teenager, about 50 years ago! Giada, Rachel, would have given him fits!
Totally agree on the hanging hair thing. Beards can be even more disgusting. Back in the 80's, I overlooked the hair thing with Giada, Rachel and Sandy.
LOL what? I think that is so strange....totally can see it if you are eating the food such as in a restaurant but you aren't. It's a video.... come on people... stop being so picky and silly.

Thanks, I'm gonna remember this! I wonder if you mix some cottage cheese and an egg or two, spread that in the greased baking dish first, then add the other ingredients like you did, would the cottage cheese and egg make a "magic crust"?, then it's a magic crust deep dish pizza. Someone try that and let me know. 🤭 Why don't I? Because I'm an idea person, not a do it person. 😉
Yes, but then instead of pizza substitute, you’d have lasagna filling…too typical. Boring. Make pizza substitute instead. Trending and delicious. Ricotta has a lot more fat (like, a lot more) and only a little more protein per serving (a few grams). Go for the pizza substitute on the reg. If you want a decadent reward, go for the lasagna filling.
Might add a yablspoon or two of skim Ricotta, a tablespoon of low fat cteam cheese, keep the mozzarella as low fat, and substitute either pre cooked ground beef or hot Turkey sausage for pepperoni which is a little high in sodium.
If you cook it more the cottage cheese will melt internally and make it more gooey and gooey like a lasagna. This is definitely nothing like a pizza it's more like a lasagna and yours unfortunately looks pretty undercooked

@@stephanieilluzzi7355 for me it makes 1-2 servings! Depending how hungry I am :)

Perfect timing. I've got some cottage cheese that needs used before it goes bad so I will definitely give this a shot.
Woooo!!
Found your video yesterday and made this for dinner with a side salad. Yummy! I'll be making it again.
Did it taste like cottage cheese? I don’t care for plain cottage cheese, but it’s fine in lasagna.

Looks delicious
Looks delish 😋
I’m not carb free but this one’s so simple, I’d scoop some into a tortilla and eat it like a wrap. Looks awesome!
It's also delicious with some pasta added in! Enjoy!!
This is delicious but it was watery - what should I do to thicken it? I also added shredded chicken for more protein. Also delicious.

Be aware, Raos has been purchased by Campbells so keep an eye on the ingredients. Ditto for Pacific foods.
Do you "drain" the cottage cheese first?

Can this be microwaved?
How about if you TRY microwaving, to see what happens? (probably not a good idea!)
You can cook up some sea shell pasta or elbow macaroni and add that for more bulk and a little carbs 😊
