I love how many synergistic depigmentation agents are in this one! Most skin lightening/brightening serums only one or two.
I also like seeing that Dimethyl Isorbide is in there. That should make the depigmentation ingredients penetrate better. If the lightening product I’m using now doesn’t work out I might consider this one!

    • @NOBSBeauty

This is quite an impressive product for Brightening and treating hyperpigmentation. So many products like this only work for certain pigmentation issues but this is a rare one that has really been helping to fade them all. Definitely worth a try and not ridiculously expensive either.

I've been using this serum for almost a month now and I've been enjoying it! I use it in my morning routine (so only once daily), after cleansing and before my Azaleic acid serum/moisturizer/sunscreen. It layers extremely well and I have started to notice some gradual reduction in PIH/PIE around my forehead and temples (lots of old acne scars) while the AA has tackled the redness, it's a great combo! I've also ordered the Vitamin X serum which should (hopefully) be arriving any day now! Love the science behind this brand and I'm very excited to see more from them in the future! Thank you for your thorough review :D
For reference, I'm a 35yo female with ultra fair (think Fenty shade 100), sensitive acne-prone skin with (still) PIE/PIH from years of cystic acne.

So happy to hear you've had good luck with this Serum too! I've found it has become one of my favorite pigmentation fighting products. It's a rare one for me because most seem to work well with one type or the other or pigmentation or Melasma, but not always both.

Hey I've just ordered their products...
I have a few questions and hope you guys out there can help me out?
The website it says that the products have a shelf life of one year. And that one should use Vitamin X within 6 months.
1.) Does that mean that the Vitamin X when unopened has a shelf life of one year? And when opened it is 6 months?
2.)How long approximately does a product last if using one pump per day? I'm specifically asking about the level serum and the Vitamin X serum.
3.)Also on the website theysuggest using the Vitamin X serum in the morning and the level serum in the evening. On the bottle though it says to use the Vitamin X both in the morning and evening. Would it be too much to use the vitamin X and level serum both morning and evening?
4.) I mean I do think that perhaps the effectiveness of the serums will then be reduced if I use too many products at the same time?
5.) And another last question I have.. the Vitamin X has vitamin c in it "Ascorbic acid". This is different than L ascorbic acid? Correct? Aren't the human trials that have been made on vitamin c all done on L ascorbic acid? Isn't this formation the most proven one?
Would it then make sense to use Vitamin X serum and then to use a different vitamin c serum (l-ascorbic acid) from another brand, or is this an overkill?

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  2 года назад

I might urge you to email them because they might have a better answer than the ones I can give you. I do think once you open the Vitamin X you should try to use it within six months- and if you can store it in your refrigerator that will help to maintain it's freshness longer. What I personally do it use their Vitamin X in my evening routine and use their Level Serum at night is going to be the most ideal usage of it, especially if you are looking to brightening your skin up. It depends on how sensitive your skin is, but I think using each serum once a day is going to be enough- especially with vitamin c which as a resevoir effect, that means it works even hours after you might have washed it off for the day. L-Ascorbic Acid and Ascorbic Acid are both the same thing, just a different way of listing it. And last, I think I would probably stick to using one Vitamin C Serum at a time, if you use too much it can really irritate your skin and be too acidic. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions!

On their FAQ page it says this:
WHY IS MY LEVEL CHANGING COLOUR?
Level does have a yellow/brown tint, even if it starts as clear it will become darker over time. This is because it has high amounts of Curcuminoids and Hexylresorcinol, making it coloured! While it starts turning brown due to oxidation of the hexylresorcinol, this process converts some of the hexylresorcinol into derivatives which are also effective for your skin.

It irritated my skin and I do not have sensitive skin and rarely get irritation. It is pricey so if you have more sensitive skin, I would steer clear. Because it is so pricey, I'm using it on my legs, and so far so good using it there.

Oh I'll have to check that out, I think I've only tried a couple of their products but I've liked them in the past.

I bit the bullet and finally bought an oil cleanser, the japanese one kose speedy softymo. Im having the worst luck getting these new mineral sunscreens off 😩

It really is quite impressive how stubborn some sunscreens are to remove. It's generally not a bad thing except at the end of the day. Totally get it though. Before I used sunscreens daily (🤦‍♀️) it was so quick and easy just to use a general Cleanser and not have to worry about it.

Their product are not fungal safe and the customer service is really bad, still waiting for my return labels, i have waisted 180$ in this company. It cost me a dermatologist appointment and the worst thing : THEY DON'T PUBLISH BAD REVIEWS (even when you are polite). Never ever I will buy from them this kind of commercial tricks are unacceptable

Level serum created me mew wrinkles under the eyes even in buffering it. I comtacted them before to put it under the eyes for dark circle they say it was safe... I hate this company now
