I really enjoy your channel. I have to say I expecially like lazy spots. This is because, I was partially paralyzed 40 years ago. I can walk, but I need a rail for stairs and to avoid steep slopes uncertain footing, or really long distances. It's a little frustrating to pursue landscapes with these limitation. I've thought about drones. I enjoyed your cave shoot with Uncle Grumpy, and might be able to handle it in warm weather, but would never risk the ice that you fell on, where Adam also banged his head. I live vicariously through you, Adam, and Tom Heaton among others.
Awesome video Gavin. Too bad you couldn't talk Amanda into hiking up the mountain in her Bikini to take Brent's place! Now that would have been splendiferously jucilicious! HAHAHAHA Sorry! Couldnt help myself!
Don’t mention Amanda Don’t mention Amanda Don’t mention Amanda The reason Gavin hiked up that mountain range twice in one day :) On the next Gavin v Adam video , Adam is standing there cooking like the guy in Notting Hill .... :) lol Btw , great shots and content . Truly appreciate the work
Brilliant . Just Brilliant Gavin . Your videos throughout 2020 , have kept us all going through a difficult year and a joy to watch. Thank you . Top Lad .👍
My friend, thank you for your videos, your videos teach, they are very professional, but the most important thing is that with your witticisms and your good sense of humor, they brighten the lives of all the people who see them, thanks again for your videos , for teaching us and making them so entertaining
The first 7 minutes had me chuckling. For some reason, Brent reminded me of Simon Peg and the whole coffee bit felt like a sequel to Paul. But, with a proper photography twist and fewer aliens.
It was interesting to catch your this video title because we stopped at this exact spot (maybe 30m farther down the hill) while riding our bicycles to the lake in early July. While returning, I stopped and waited for my partner and captured my favourite image from the summer of her riding up the hill. Normally early afternoon shooting isn't the best, but sometimes you just get lucky. The brilliant blue skies with just the right amount of clouds, green trees, subject with a red jacket and a strong leading line from the road did the trick. Glad to know that someone else agrees that it was a great spot too.
Amazing location. Had a trip planned there until COVID shut everything down. But, great to see you guys having fun. Even if you did shamelessly exploit Amanda in her bathing suit. :)
@@PhotoTrekr Yes it was. I so want to visit the Canadian Rockies some day. Hopefully you will allow your southern neighbors back in to visit again. (But don't be in a hurry).
Very well composed - the nature as well as the shots. The educational approach - direct learning through the viewfinder, at the same time entertaining - is a perfect concept. Don't let the dog come between you.
Great video, Landscape is amazing! 😀... and...👱♀️👍🏻🤤👍🏻 Wow! Amanda! ... got to love that hot weather effect!... Lovely 😍... and as my preferred philosopher sais: "Dont forget to have fun" 😉... Now I see why you get so little sleep, get exhausted and need a nap 😴 📸
When anyone spends their valuable time to make a quality photography video, I believe it’s only right to try and watch it on a large screen 4k TV. Loved the atmosphere.
My favourite thing about this, despite the amazing locations and photos is the contrast between the English and Canadian humour. Brent is a hero, soft spoken, super polite juxtaposing “Fook off!”
“Simply trez mendous.” “Absolutely magnifeekwah.” Vous avez évidemment beaucoup étudié le français. C’est parfait! Those were some epic shots. And you deserve some chocolate for making that hike twice.
Cracking shot at the end. Like you, I usually avoid adding poeple in my landscape shots but adding Brent really makes that shot. It adds a real sense of depth and scale.
It’s been fun catching up with your videos again after starting to get my interest in photography again, always entertaining to watch. I was lucky enough to visit Banff national park last year, hands down the most beautiful place I’ve ever visited! I’d love to be able to visit again some time in the future.
Epic scenery.. esp at 29:53 😂. Seriously though that is a gorgeous location. I’d like to see a sunrise shot from the hike point up high... and come back in winter when it’s all snow covered.
Epic work Gavin. It's great when you have the classic shots banked to be able to look for the less popular locations. Speaking for myself going up is easier than getting down when its climbs like that. I'm always wary that I'll climb up something I can't climb down!!!
You are so brave climbing up and down that mountain! It looks really dangerous. The video is fantastic and the location and images are so incredibly beautiful. Wow! Wonderful, just wonderful. Thank you so much.
I feel your pain with the heat. I've been out in it myself lately and with the humidity it can be unbearable. I see Amanda was prepared for the heat. Nice shots. That's a beautiful location!
I just wanted to stop by and say I have really been enjoying your videos. I have been a portrait and fine art photographer for years and have never even considered shooting landscapes. But I found your videos when we started this whole pandemic thing. My normal work kind of ground to a halt but I saw your videos and started to wonder and decided to give it a go. So I grabbed up my gear and started to head out and see what I could find. I live a little south of you down in Seattle and first started with some city scapes of Seattle and am now expanding off into the rest of the state to see what's about. Anyway thank you for your videos. I will be picking up this series and will keep looking forward to each new chapter.
Those views at the end of the day gave me the tingles, that was a nice reward for sticking around after swatting at non-existent flies in my office from earlier in the video...
I find these videos hilarious. I "grew up" in the UK but moved to the US at 18...I love the dual humor...Brit and Canadian/American...the photo stuff is great too...lol. Always trying to learn from others about why they are making a successful channel...and screen presence always wins for me, preceded very slightly by the actual content.
Agreed, Brent has quite the magnetic screen presence. If only he could get shot of that Yorkshire duffer that's wiggling into every other shot bleating on about his haemorrhoids the size of grapes or somesuch malady... ;-)))
Perfect timing - heading to Lake Louise and environs in a few days to visit old haunts and take some Better Photos. Thank you! Love the shots on Moraine Lake Road.
I’m just waiting for your subscriber numbers to explode. Epic locations, great shots, and some good old Yorkshire humour, because everything’s better from Yorkshire.
Wonderful Video it clears my Brain and gives me the inspiration to go out for shootings in the Nature around me. THANKS Gavin and best wishes across the Atlantic
I'm sure others have gotten this shot, but the key is to zoom in. Most other photographers likely shot it wide, which there's too much junk in the foreground but if you zoom in, then others won't be visible in your shots and it almost is a better composition with the compression and filling the frame with just the mountains and the trees as somewhat of a foreground (although the middle ground sort of blends in with the background or the other trees -- I wonder if maybe a little doding the second set of trees a bit to bring out some texture might give more dimension to the scene. Right now it's like you have a foreground (the front trees) and a background (the mountain).
Another great video, and full of valuable tips. Love the advice and entertainment factor, definitely the most enjoyable photography channel on RUclips , as much as I love the F4 guys, this is entertainment and information bundled together beautifully.
Woah! That image was absolutely stunning on my 4K TV. Such an amazing shot, Gavin. Oh wait...that was the other guys image. Kidding of course- the first photograph you put up was breathtaking. Great light! Looking forward to future videos and visiting here myself.
Those views and images were just amazing. Lots of info to digest and hopefully use for my own images. Also I knew Amanda was a good sport and has a fantastic sense of humor but who knew she was such a hottie. If you aren't putting a ring on her you have lost your mind.
Fantastic image from up top (with Brent included)!! I had to replay that a couple of times because the view was so trezmendous...oh wait, no that was the part where Amanda was cooking lunch! At least I admit it...Cheers from the lower 48 and keep bringing your amazing content!
There was some professional speaking dude at the start of the video. He was clear and coherent. Friend of yours? Not sure why you gave him the first cup of coffee though, first caffeine of the day trumps friendship. Beautiful images and I learnt a lot too. Great work man.
Chapter 1 and 2 purchased. While I am looking forward to the instruction, it's also the best way I feel that I can support your channel. Thank you again for creating entertaining, and informative content.
Not sure about avalanche control but the metal piece you found brought back memories. It appeared to be the tail section/fins of a mortar round. Nice vid as always and yet another reason the Canadian Rockies is on my short list.
Glad to see you weren't climbing up those jagged rocks in your flip-flops! LOL Thanks again for another great tutorial. It feels like I'm right there adventuring with you and your friends.
Coffee... The most important photography gear hands down. ☕
The bikini scene with Amanda was way to short ! :-)

Hi Gavin. Awesome shots and the last one with Brent was a humdinger

What an epic scene Like a painted backgrounds from an old western movie.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing
Finally got around to watching the video. Love it. Some great tips as well. Your videos are just going from strength to strength. Thankyou
“Simply trez mendous.” “Absolutely magnifeekwah.” Vous avez évidemment beaucoup étudié le français. C’est parfait! Those were some epic shots. And you deserve some chocolate for making that hike twice.
That hair should have its own show. great work keep shooting.

2 hikes up the mountain in the same day? That's unheard of. Beautiful views from that viewpoint, and well worth the pain
The one with the trees at the bottom 👍👍👍👍 Loved it. ❤

Banff is number one on my bucket list. Absolutely spectacular.
Great video Gavin! Spectacular location!! Very useful tips about composition. Amanda showed great talent preparing those wings!
What??? No flip flops up the mountain? I’m so disappointed 😉
Enjoyed the longer format Gavin, along with the gorgeous views of the Rockies and the hilarity that ensues... Oh the Fasthma!
Killer shot with Brent in it. Thanks for the tips.
