It’s because I don’t know what screws he’s using where or when, or literally any of the set up. I get how to put them in themself I’m looking up a video specifically how to put them together bc the instructions are terrible as are his
Jbl really adds alot to the package.. adapter plates... sticker/decals. And a great product. Got this set and a set of coaxial Stadium gto 620s... sounds great on the bike and have held up well.
I'm assuming you are a car audio novice..but it is nice to see you take the time to install those JBLs correctly..(not a lot of beginners do hince those kenwoods from the previous owner)..you will defiantly be able to hear the deference. Nice work
I like how you didn't explain how to install speakers into your car. Very cool to watch you do work that I too want to do and not have you explain shit. Nice.
I just installed 4 jbl gto860 in my 2013 raptor and i love the sound. I haven't even done an amp yet as that will require some sort of dsp or something too complicated for the time being
God, the rear speakers are so unreasonably complicated to get to. They could have just you know, made a removable panel just for them, but they had to be stupid about it
at 5:58 what are those you are crimping on? Are they the female quick disconnect spade terminal connectors? Is soldering the wire to the speaker better?
The video will butcher the audio quality and can’t really play anything without RUclips copyrighting anything that gets played. They are great speakers regardless
These have some really nice bass. I was actually thinking about installing a subwoofer but if you turn the loudness on, the bass really goes up. Good replacement speakers.
Hey I was wondering if anyone could help my out I don’t know that much about car speakers but I installed these in my front 2 doors with the factory Scion tC head unit with a max 180 watt and the bass isn’t there I don’t know if I need to get a new head unit or a apmlifier let me know. Thanks
Hummm JBL GTO 629 ? Noted ! Thats on my next ebay cart. While you are there, your panels disassembled, you could make an anti-rust treatment inside your wheels... What did i just said ? Oh yea, you live in California... Sorry, i said nothing😌;)
+Frank Beaulieu these speakers are really good quality. The sound does not get distorted when you raise the volume and they got bass. Lol beautiful California man! A shame my sisters Matrix XR was a New York car and we just did an axle and wheel bearing job on it. Man was it a pain in the ass, bolts were rusted on.
I believe their is a common seal issues with the hatch or the actual glass itself. I’d check those first have someone drip some water while you are watching on the inside
Check your rear hatch seal. If it’s brital from age it will leak. Another tip you can use is remove the panels and rear seats, sit inside the car, have someone spray water from the outside while you observe from the inside to see where the leak is coming from.
nice buy, how much, i didnt go past 40 bux on my pair tho, to me, those incar speakers all sound the same unless mounted within an appropriate housing, . lol. 150w - 300w max is enough for me, I like hearing my car. Sounds from the car actually speed responses and the way i drive mines... lol.
These cost me $50 shipped to my door. I only bought these to match the door panels I have which say JBL on them. While I also enjoy listening to my car, I like to listen to clear music and not distorted which is exactly what these 4 inch kenwood speakers were doing.
lucky to be living in the states when it come to electronic pricing. They cost an arm and a leg here in Australia, around $180 - $200AUD ($140 -$155USD) :(
Wow did you really just cut your original connector when u can buy connector that connect from the original to aftermarket. And you was talking about how ghetto the last person was installing his speakers. Smh
compared to the old ones I had they are day and night difference. They have alot of bass to them and sounds really great. Obviously you cant really tell since your are not listening to them from my shoes.
Some speakers already have passive crossovers on them. These are the ones with the tiny tweeter above the speaker itself. You do not need an amp for these. Active crossovers on the other hand will require for you to connect an amp.
Idk why this vid has soo many dislikes. Great vid
That’s exactly what I’m trying to figure out after all these years lol 😂
@@2zzlow lol
There was now sound testing at the end. Peole searched tobhear how they sound mot how to install them!🤦♂️🤷♂️🙋♂️
@@mathewvelasquez6071 bro all speakers pretty much sound the same over a video. You need to be in person to hear how good they are or look up reviews

I got to upgrade the front speakers As well but for sure quality.
putting these in my CRX, can't wait! nice video, brother.
thanks fam!

+Josh Gabrysch they are a huge improvement over the crappy kenwood the car had. Thanks also!
I like how you didn't explain how to install speakers into your car. Very cool to watch you do work that I too want to do and not have you explain shit. Nice.
Where in the title did it say “how to” tho?

I gotta do an amp aswell
Are you happy with how they sound? Picked up a pair...
Excellent video... btw, you should hunt down the person who installed the old speaker! :)
Exactly lmao 😂
nice video, very clear! big middle finger to all the dislikers!!!
Exactly!
Great job man ! It helps me.
Glad to hear and thanks!
Ngl i thought this was my friend. 😂
God, the rear speakers are so unreasonably complicated to get to. They could have just you know, made a removable panel just for them, but they had to be stupid about it
A removable speaker grille to access it would of been nice. I agree
at 5:58 what are those you are crimping on? Are they the female quick disconnect spade terminal connectors? Is soldering the wire to the speaker better?
yes they are quick disconnects. I didn't solder but it is recommended
really helpful, great video!!!
Glad it helped out!
What happened to the rest of the video?
idk guess it got cut off
Would these work without an amp in a regular 2004 toyota celica GT? I don't want to have to install an amp.
I dont even have an amp installed. I by passed the stock JBL amp.
@@2zzlow oh ok cool, so they can basically just plug right in at that point?
Thanks for vid. I was thinking about JBL speaker you have. Do you have to take out back seat to remove the panel? TIA
you dont but it makes the job easier
So I have a question. I wanna buy these bit will i need to buy anything special to install them?
probably the speaker brackets unless your vehicle does not have any.
Were the Kenwood speakers factory speakers? Thanks
no
Wish you included an initial impression of how the speaker was that's half the reason why people are here mate
The video will butcher the audio quality and can’t really play anything without RUclips copyrighting anything that gets played. They are great speakers regardless
I’ve got the same speakers as you, did your tweeters distort during high volume levels?
If they came with a separate crossover then use it. Don’t plug them into the celica connection the tweeters
It politically correct brother!!! I'm doing the same to my 2003 Toyota Tacoma..
The woofer cones are for deeper bass
These have some really nice bass. I was actually thinking about installing a subwoofer but if you turn the loudness on, the bass really goes up. Good replacement speakers.
Damn zslow you got light
lol
5:40 what wiring kit did you use for these?
Some basic one off ebay.
What size are the speakers?
6 1/2

check the settings on you headunit for "loudness" option and "bass booster"
2zzlow my Bass was at its full limit and it still isn’t there
Can you run these speakers on a factory gts amplifier??
yes

Would you recommend changing the tweeters too? Listening to weeb music on factory speakers everything sounds shrilly and hurts my ears
I ended up changing the tweeters in my corolla and it made a huge difference. I listen hard to trance and eurobeat.
Que bonito celica

Yo XX XX zz man. You have any driver side sun visor for sale? Looking for one that is not saggy, let me know thank you.
Should have a set of 03+
2zzlow you have a offer up page? I sadly don’t have Facebook or instant gram. I’m classic
Hey man do u HAVE to remove the back seats to get into the rear speaker?
Not really but it makes the job easier.
So you literally didn't show us shit.
open them eyes
Hey, do I need a amp for these speakers? Also what is your radio?
no amp is required. wire them up to the existing speaker wires found on the car.
@2zzlow where is the 7th and 8th soeakers in these JBL celicas?
didnt understand that last comment, sorry.

oops actually those pricing are for the 4" the 6" get's even more ridiculous, roughly $280USD
How did you do the wiring?
I bought the harnesses off eBay and just followed the same color coordination.
2zzlow what harnesses did you get?
no sound test?
Unfortunately the microphone on my camera wouldn’t be able to pick up the audio that well
