I love Plantronics headphones. I use my Plantronics GameCom which I bought for around 30€ for almost 10 years now and they are still working as on day 1. At some point, the earpad was starting to lose the fake leather fabric, which was not affecting the sound quality at all - but I decided to look for new ones. So I tried headphones from Corsair, Logitech, Sennheiser, and Razer, but I didn't like them all and sent them back again and ended up using my Plantronics for another 3 years. Now there was a deal for the RIG 300HS and I will give them a try :)

So I'm looking into Plantronics, right now (hence why I am here), and I love the design ideas of this brand. The open design for the RIG 300 is genius, in my opinion, and it looks so good! I can't stand the horrible sound of the popular gamer headsets like from HyperX, SteelSeries, TurtleBeach, etc. (my own opinion), so I am very curious to know more about these other models. Too bad I can't try them, for now. The good word on these needs to go around more. And I love that they look really good and are NOT RGB.

I've never used a worse headset in my life. The sound quality reminded me of the disposable airplane headsets. They are comfy but are complete trash. Constant hum from the mic, not even the slightest amount of bass, its an actual joke.
0Zakharov0 yeah the sound is a bit worse than other headsets, and it stops working too easily, I moved on to the rig 800lx and it’s wayyy more comfortable and sound better, and has a clearer mic

Not to bring up an old video Techne. I was thinking of buying this and then buying the 500s metal frame ($8.95) and the 500 headband strap ($3.95). Then I would have a $53 headset which would be awesome. Do you think it would work?
I would go RIG 300HS, you might get a little more bass with the Turtle Beach, but it's a muddy bass. So for a nice clear well balanced sound go with the RIG's.

I just bought these, how do I use the mic on PC? I can't seem to work this out lmao I only have a headphone jack and no usb or anything to use the mic ? Edit: I 100% bought the pc version, it says on the box in the bottom right corner PC, and nothing about xbox or ps4

you will have to adjust your mic input/output volume within your device, wether that be in console settings, or whatever chat app your using on pc. But no it can't be adjusted on the headset

I was using it on pc one night and i pluged it in the mic spot bye mistake and i was talk and then i checked the removable mic and then found out that it wasnt plugged in and i did a little testing and spoke into the earphone while doing a discord sound test and found ou that they have mics in the ear phones for some reason
Box says that it works on PC. The microphone does not work on PC. There is low sound quality and almost no bass. This reviewer does not say anything useful he just gushes over the brand
Hey Techne :) i stumbled upon your Review because i was searching the web for a solution and maybe you can help me out...? i have the RIG 300 now since a while and i got it for 29,99 E. I wanted a budget headset and for that its amazing :) but i always had one big problem : I dont get how the mic works. The headset wont appear on my Laptop as external device, it shows that sound is coming from the integraded Laptop Speakers and when i talk on f.e. Discord, the Laptop uses my realtek Laptop mic. What could i do to get my RIG 300 to appear as external device on my Laptop and - of course- to use the mic of my RIG? Would really appreaciate if you had any suggestions except the usua "contact the support" :P Great Review though, Subscribed immediately ^^
hmmm, I know on pc you need a splitter. prob same on laptop. but laptops usually only have a headphone port not mic as well. so double check your windows settings and see what your mic device is set to, and if you can change it.

They are amazing but a bit delicate so be careful don’t drop them or anything.
