I recommend "One Piece," the manga or the anime, for incredible symbolism. For example, there is a tremendous amount of sun and moon, sun god and moon god symbolism. This series has been running in manga for about over twenty-seven years and the anime for almost as long.
You guys will enjoy Fire Force for religion & round table. Its comedy & action with 2 season. Also Vinland Saga Vikings & religion. Its drama & action with 2 season. Both are modern anime so its not old
