The reason they are in cells is because Unchained Melody is from the prison movie Unchained. And, yes, the style is Do Wop as is their rendition of Blue Ain't Your Color, which also features their fine dance moves.
Austin also has a great solo version of this on his channel. And I think you will like one of their newest originals - Playing With Fire. Smokin'.

The Righteous Brothers had a big hit with "Unchained Melody" in 1965. Home Free did such a beautiful rendition of this classic song. They added an old school doo-wop feel to it. The video in prison is very fitting as this song was originally written for the 1955 prison film "Unchained". The film centered on a man who contemplates either escaping from prison to live life on the run or finishing his sentence and returning to his wife & family.

This is so good. It was written for a movie Unchained about prison in 1955. Home Free likes to go back to the roots of the song. And yes, it’s doo wop. The was done years ago in the 30s for a movie about a man in jail. Righious Brothers got it and turned it into a mega hit, Home are doing a great job with it. Austin Brown was the one doing some of the solos He has the long redish hair.
Hopefully their cover of “Blue Ain’t Your Color” makes you smile too. It’s a more traditional presentation of doo wop.
Or, if you are ok with sad, “I Can’t Outrun You” has some beautiful harmonies.

I had to go look that song up on RUclips and listen to it so that I could hear the vocal range of the singers. Compared to the original it is extremely close to how the Righteous Brothers did it. Like how they used to sing it before the one of them broke his voice and had to have surgery, From then on the song Never sound the same. 🤗

So many covers of this song are based on the standard set by the Righteous Brothers, so if you ever listen to Vito and The Salutations' 1963 version, it's like nails on a chalkboard because it's just not the song we expect.
