Austin says this was posted "accidentally". He and Steven recorded it, but he wasn't sure he wanted to post it because it was so different from other things he'd done. It was late and he went to bed. I mentioned the same thing in the Home Free version too. I am positive Austin could have match the Bobby Hatfield version if he had wanted to. But I REALLY respect that he didn't.

The Righteous Brothers had a big hit in 1965 of this classic song & it is one of my favorites. Sadly we lost Bobby Hatfield almost 20 years ago. He had a beautiful one of a kind voice. But Austin Brown did a very beautiful tribute of this song. I really like Home Free's version of this song that they did recently. I think you already reacted to that one.

You know this is Austin from Home Free, right. Home Free did this together also. Austin has a song called Her's ain't mine. His wife did a parody of it and it's so funny. He really is a sweetheart

Such a talent. 🌷 (I like when they move just a little bit more freely ... as they feel it... when they hit certain notes or parts of the song. He seemed to hold himself back with his hands a few times and I know it actually helps singers "bring" that note forward when they move their body along with the performance (like you do Britt as you sing along). Also I like what they do in their group performances where they look off into the distance and only look occasionally (directly) into the camera. Don't be stingy with it - but don't over-do it either. Haha. 😊
The original of this song was in a 1950s prison escape movie "Unchained" - it's most famous version was by the Righteous Brothers and it's been covered by almost everyone. There's another one of Austin singing this at "Tim's 6th Birthday Bash" that's just jaw-dropping.
To be able to sit there and sing this classic melody…if I could if i had Austin’s i would everyday. Or, maybe just on some street corner. Great video. Excellent cover by Mr. Brown.

I listened to that just recently and thought it was quite extraordinary. Don’t understand why it didn’t get more airtime.
Bobby Hatfield had at least three different versions of ‘Unchained Melody’! I hear elements of all of them in Austin’s recording. I do like the way he put it all together! Any body that sings this song respectfully has my appreciation. Being the 74 yr old fogey I am, Bobby’s are still my favorites.
