  • Amala Ekpunobi grew up in a leftist home and worked as an organizer for the political left. She never questioned the narrative - until she discovered the racism she thought she was fighting against was being perpetuated by her side. “We are bringing back segregation in this country, and people will sell it to you that we are doing it in a positive manner...it perpetuates the same racist narrative that they are trying to run away from.” Amala shares her story of questioning leftist ideology, which ultimately led to changing her mind.

      There is nothing bad with a bit of "leftist" . "Right wing parties" once was against common folk in 1800 and 1900s and was siding with tyrants. Not everyone was democracy even back then and sometimes they were clearly against science and socio-economic theories. Average person working in factory earned like 0.9 to 1.1$ per day. How do you think communism got so popular among poor and religious people ? Because neither religioun nor 1$ per day fills your stomach. There should be no such polarization between right or left. I'm not a leftist, but would support universal health care and housing projects (to some degree), because homeless or sick kids deserve fair chance.

      I can assure you it is happening, Grocery stores do in fact rearrange their products to confuse people so they can search more in turn purchase more items they didn't intend to, it's like how casino's are designed to be like mazes.

    • @earthvariety
      @earthvariety 9 месяцев назад

      @OmnistrikeRZ to add to that, I worked in 2 different casinos and one of the managers actually told us that they purposely do not have clocks on the walls and design the place (no natural light near many of the slots or tables) so you lose track of time. Obviously people don't realize it when they're consumed in it. Like you, I think many people are starting to wake up to the game the elites in Hollywood and politics have created and are creating in order to keep filling their pockets while giving people crumbs here and there to make them think they're winning big or helping. If you were to tell a gambling addict that they've been there for hours and they're losing more money than they're winning, they wouldn't listen.

    Her story hits home for me. I'm mixed too, white dad and Afro Caribbean mom. Grew up in a black area and was taught that white people are evil and will hold me back. Went to college and ended up making friends with white people who are still my friends over a decade later. In fact, I've always been called out by black people for dating white girls, having white friends etc like it's illegal to do these things. Modern segreation as she says. Everyone's experience is different but from my experience, most white people aren't racist or looking to hold back POC.

      @Anonymous-rg3ud Год назад +12

      The segregation is so real.
      I used to support the BLM movement, and went to different groups who also supported them, one of them Christian. Most people made friends from what they called "small groups" at the Christian one. There was a Latino one, a Black one, and then a "new students" one (which ended up being all the white and Asian students, the new students who were Black and Latino would join the other ones). The Latino group hosted an event, and there was a young Black man who wanted to attend, so he asked that even though he wasn't Latino, if he could go. The leader, who was a Black woman, told him that he couldn't go to the Latino event because it was a "safe space for Latinos." I was so confused and shocked! The leader was a Black woman! She was supporting saying a Black man would make a Latino space "unsafe." It was so counterproductive and was actually promoting stereotypes! Also, how on earth can we learn from one another unless we are exposed to different cultures and friends with people who are different from us?
      I also went to a meeting with the four founders of the BLM movement at my university, and after they spoke, they had a Q&A session. There was one white guy who went up to ask a question, was really respectful and sensitive, and just asked how he could support the movement, and their response was "We have white allies that march in LA." That was about 2 hours away from where we were at the time... Like...this guy can't march with people here? He has to go all the way to LA to march with a bunch of white people? I understand supporting the BLM statement, but the organization is just wacky. I don't support the organization anymore.

      That's the beauty of individualism; it's the most effective means of combatting unfairness and warped perceptions...that's one part of the reason the American Left hates it. It's a tool of White Supremacy, they screech, because people of all shades of skin must deal with the words and deeds of just one at a time, forcing you to see the real diversity, exposing any narrow-minded attitudes people of all colors might have, and for making people independent, free, active citizens. It enshrines fairness of process and comes the closest to ensuring blanket *fairness* of outcomes of all of mankind's inventions. People can see how artificial collectives are, how ineffectual a centralized government is at everything buy self-perpetuation, and curves people toward local, mutual interdependence and away from the leashes of mass-dependence on one central power that the Left is always trying to put around our necks .
      And of course it doesn't let you shirk your responsibilities or shed all your accountability--at least not without shame and judgement, which the Left regard as the ur-sin whence the hydra of ista-phobias originally spawned. (Personally, I regard it as most often a special class of rudeness, and not even the worst.)
      Those are the other reasons the Left cannot abide it, or abide within it.

      @richard5830 3 года назад +5

      @@chrisg3258 you also do it because you see your friend for the person they are, and not only the colour of their skin. As a human race, we seriously need to stop refering to each other by the colour of our skin. Individual characters define who we are, skin colour should bear no relevance. Racism is not a one sided affair, as the left would have you believe. Racism is a human trait and is therefore divided by all racial groups in equal measure.
