- Learn how to package your cake for long distance deliveries. I use this method of a reusable insulated delivery box, non-slip mats, and dry ice to keep my cake cooler during difficult or longer deliveries. Also a good method when you have multiple deliveries back-to-back, and have to keep your other cakes in the hot car while setting up at each venue!
Additional info about dry ice: It's best to not touch it directly, as it can freeze burn your skin. When purchasing in advance, store it in a non-sealtight cooler in your garage or cool room until needed for delivery. Do not store in your freezer! You can buy dry ice at any grocery store, you usually have to ask an employee at checkout to grab some for you.

Funny story about dry ice and explosions- When my parents were newly married, my mom was trying to get some food storage set up. So she bought a ton of red wheat, and some five gallon buckets. She read that if you put some dry ice on top of the wheat in the bucket, it would seal and preserve the wheat when it melted/evaporated. But, wherever she got this info, forgot to mention that you should just place the lid on top of the bucket, and she full on closed the lid, on like, 3 five gallon buckets full of wheat. Sure enough, as she was praising herself in the next room, she heard a huge BANG, and then a sound like the kitchen had become a rain stick, and then a second BANG, and more wheat kernels landing everywhere. I think she managed to get the lid off the rest after the second explosion, but they still found wheat kernels lying around when they moved out of that house about 5 years later.
OMG 🤣🤣🤣
Thats super helpful an I would actually love to see a tutorial on the box 🥺❤
This is soooo smart and I wished I would have been doing this for years! It would have saved a lot of cakes while going long distances!! Thank you. :)

Did you make the diy box tutorial ? Thanks for sharing.
Need info on the insulated material used in the box. I have tried to buy this but the Home Depot type stores do not have it. Also the dimensions used for the panels. Many thanks!!
Hello, i was wondering what you used for the insulated part of the box?
I used dry ice to transport a cake that was 5 hrs away. It was I. August and it was about 90 degrees outside. When I took the cake out of carrier the buttercream started to bubble right before my eyes. The entire cake was covered with air bubbles. Did this happen to due to the rapid change in temperature?
What stops the cake from moving around in the cardboard box you put it in?
Wow🤩🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Where did you get the insulation boards?

Hi Madam from Bangalore India
Explode 👀😮
IN MY CAR!? Lol
I read that dry ice is very dangerous in your car. It releases carbon dioxide which can cause unconsciousness.
