    Thanks for sharing this video! Great idea, perfectly done! And you can also use it by laying it on the side and open the door down.

    What a great idea. Thanks for sharing. Also if you stick a piece of non-slip mat stuff you use under mats at the door the size of the bottom board your cake will not move on transport either.

    Beautiful and such a great idea. You decorated so nicely as well. I have seen other videos like this and I have an idea for you to add to your genius creation. Where the door is, put a piece of velcro on the outside of the door and then another piece of the velcro on the outside of the box and when you close the door it will give it a more secure lock on the door. Just stick the velcros together and there is no way it will come open until you want it to be open! More security.
    You did such a wonderful job. Thank you for giving me great ideas. ;)

    So for a 14” cake drum I’ll need a 16”x16” box right?

    Regarding at the very beginning of taping the bottom of the box... Instead what about a strong staple gun to staple enough space between each for one from either side (one from inside one from outside & repeat, basically like a zipper. Or like taped it in the first video how about running a long running tape all the way around the bottom of the box as a first step...?? It would make the bottom much stronger. Its hard to explain with out touching , pointing to show you what i mean. Wonderful ideas for the temperature insulation & thank you for sharing

    how long does the cake stay cool for in this box?

      In a good and cold car I have delivered around 2 hours. If I’m going longer I put an ice pack inside the box and extend the time.

    I saw that you have Cakesafe delivery box, which one do you prefer to use for transportation? Do you transport the cake fully stacked? Thank you for sharing.

      I think this to keep your cakes cool while transporting. Don't think the cake safe box keeps it cool.

      Hi, I was loaned the cake safe box to try and it worked great. Personally, I don’t like putting the metal rod down the middle of the cake and taking it out at the venue. Also, my box kept it cooler for longer and is much cheaper. Cakesafe has a great product this is just my preference. Thanks for watching.

    Where do you buy the mylar wrap?

      Buy Mylar paper online or Amazon. I think it insulates better as it is used in production of many ice packs for home delivery meals, etc.

    Why did you decide to use Mylar paper?

      It helps holds the temp, is durable and easy to clean. It’s used with the bubble wrap to package mail orders meals so I knew it would work well.

    Where did you find food grade mylar, please?

    • @crazicakes4760
      @crazicakes4760  Год назад

      Amazon, but it doesn’t have to be food grade as food shouldn’t be touching it.

      @@crazicakes4760 You and I know that, but for some reason, my state DCP"s reply is, "Technically, all food equipment must meet US Food Safety Standards such as NSF, UL", and I must prove that it will keep my cakes at temperature for the 20 minute drive to local venues.
