I swear base game had a missed opportunity to have Destiny Trio vs Triple Xehanorts. After all, each of the Destiny Island kids were kidnapped by one of the Xehanorts. Riku’s heart was held hostage by Ansem, Xemnas imprisoned Kairi, and Young Xehanort held Sora’s heart in the realm of sleep. It would’ve been too perfect. And it would’ve served as a more natural way for Xehanort to kill Kairi. Sora, Riku, and Kairi finish off the Ansem, Xemnas, and Young Xehanort only for Master Xehanort to attack Sora while he’s tired. Kairi jumps in to protect him and she turns to glass and shatters. The rest of the game proceeds the same.

This is kinda how I envisioned the endgame, funky ally AI and spawn stuff aside...Sora, Riku, and Kairi together, battling the very man that changed their lives forever. Don't get me wrong, the SDG trio fighting Old Man Nort was nice and a good callback to the first game but SRK finally coming together to fight him would've been way better.
Cill Bipher I imagined it being like the xehanort replica right with all the key blade wielders, but more dynamic, longer battle, with you changing who your playing as vs the 13 every so often with dialogue. in short the xehanort replica fight but with the original organization 13 instead and everyone is spaced out instead of together.
Seems Kairi fights whenever master xehanort is in the picture but Riku only fights when the xehanort clones are around, probably because they were program to fight those specific foes.

I want/need the next kingdom Hearts game to be like this, with the original trio as party members and you cant swap between them on any moment like final fantasy 7 remake, honestly i thought this was the next evolution of the gameplay for KH3 but i was so wrong
It's like they took a bunch of concepts for KH3 and only chose the ones that had Sora and Mickey in it. The BBS Trio was completely shafted, the Days Trio only got a brief moment despite being extremely pivotal to the story, and the Destiny Trio barely interacted with each other in the main story. When everyone did meetup, 3/4 of them didn't even do anything significant. Where's Ven's and Terra's moment to bite Xehanort and Vanitas back in the ass? Where's Xion's and Roxas' moment of brutalizing Xenmas? It's like they stopped halfway through these resolutions in favour of Sora screentime.

So why didnt they bother at least GATHERING at they graveyard? They did this in KH1 before and now they dont care? They had to know that xehanort exists since the cast knows about soras and mickeys doings. Imagine coming to the graveyard and instead of doing shitty disney world attractions, you were doing FF limitbreaks in the 10.000 heartless battle! Would've been so much better than...riding a train...
THIS!!! This was all I ever wanted in Kingdom Hearts 3! My reason? Well... KH1: Sora vs Ansem KH2: Sora and Riku vs Xemnas KH3: Sora, Riku, and Kairi vs Xehanort To me, this theory made complete sense for how I thought the final battle would play out. Thank you for actually making this happen!
Well, in KH1, Donald and Goofy did help out against Ansem. And with Xemnas too. Maybe they could've helped fight Xehanort at first, and then Riku and Kairi join in to help for the final fight

This is something I think everyone was expecting to see. The trio fighting the final boss together. Why did they not bother making it happen? That pains me.
I really wish that Nomura would let the destiny trio do something together for once (go on an adventure together or fight together). Out of all of the main trios, I feel like this one gets to be together in games the least. Donald and Goofy are cool, but I do want to see some Sora/Riku/Kairi action. Even Melody of Memories missed that opportunity. At least the destiny trio could have been a team for that game, but no... Sora had to be with Donald/Goofy, Riku had to be with a couple of dream eaters and Kairi was simply sidelined again (flying around in the final world for a few minutes does not count).
Very well done! Seeing all the amazing mod work makes me feel reassured. If Nomura and SQ weren’t able to give us the true Dark Seeker Finale we all dreamt of, at least the fans will. It would be amazing someday if we could get all the Seekers and Guardians fighting simultaneously on the main room of the Keyblade Graveyard (the plain with all the broken keys). That would feel like a genuine Keyblade War! Thanks again, and keep up the great work!

I assume they dont teleport with sora because they aren't programmed to appear near sora when he isnt looking like they do out of battle and for transitions

Yeah thats because the teams have changed. The team that worked on KH1 and KH2 have now made ff7R and the team that made KH BBS and DDD made KH3.
