some more comparisons that I didn't notice when putting this together: his up tilt is based on the laser dome deflection animation rather than DDD windmill attacks, he has sliding dash as his dash attack, and most importantly, the KH style finisher slowdown happens ingame when Sora defeats an opponent i also went with KH3 blizzard specifically because its the only blizzaga that has ever inflicted freeze as a status effect, at least without being a weird landmine like in Days
His forward-throw is the Blitz finisher, his back throw is Larxene's KH2FM reaction command, and hitting attack and jump is his ground-to-air basic slash

@@Elsuya_Milo When you do an air combo in DDD you stay in the air without really falling much where as in KH1 and KH2 Sora is constantly being weighed down and can sometimes hit the ground before the 3rd hit of his main combo comes out properly.
Still, if you had to only choose one between Arcanum, Ragnarok, Strike Raid and Sonic Rave, Sonic Rave is usually the safest choice for any Sora ability.

I was a bit bothered that he had a counter but then I remembered how his guard worked in KH and to be honest I understood why they did it, it works quite well.

I'd wait til he comes out to determine that. I got the impression that he'd be bottom of high tier simply because of his recovery and combo game. Down smash and Down tilt probably lead into a lot of stuff. His weight is the main problem though and might hold him back.

You know, I think it's funny that Sonic Blade is such an iconic move for Sora that it made it into Smash, when in KH Sora originally learned the move from Cloud, who is also in Smash but it's not actually a move he uses in FF7 or Smash and was made for him to specifically use in KH
the only thing im guessing for 0:19 is that is that reaction command in kh2 when he fights Xemnas and hes in that dome. i can't think of any other moment where sora did anything like that tbh x- x
Within the constrains of being based on KH1 and no Disney, I really think his Final Smash could've been Ars into Ragnarok. I get wanting to showcase the whole keyblade locking thing, but Ars and Ragnarok are some of the most iconic parts of KH1 Sora's moveset, and they could easily be combined into a single Final Smash.

Makes me realize they must have spent a while even thinking and considering this kind of stuff, which makes me appreciate the Smash team even more for that. They did a bang up job with him in Smash
I just checked the footage from the presentation (where Sora fights against Cloud and Sephiroth) and can confirm that his dodge roll ability is also present exactly where you think it would be.
I like how since hes a younger sora and his smashes are used by a older soras, they look like early versions he was still working on. like for example his up smash looks like he gets pushed off balance while his kh3 version can use it in the air with ease.
the up attack actually perfectly matches an animation from the boat fight in timeless river when u deflect the trash upwards, needed to let the world know this
