- Its been a little while. With the vast amounts of mods that came out the year after making this video, I decided to remake this video again showcasing some of the new mods that were made. HUGE THANKS to Iven for lending me his 358 map as I would have chosen just not to remake this video otherwise. Also thanks to the multiplayer modders such as Jaster and jackmoonward for helping me set up the hud elements for Roxas and Riku in CO-OP. I also got a lot of inspiration for the CG cutscene in the beginning by Everglow. I edited the clips myself but the deep dive part wasn't my idea. Also thanks to my friend x. who played as Riku in the CO-OP section as well as helped with the thumbnail.

Facts
It's so different watching Roxas vs Riku after learning Terra is the Heartless sticking to Ansem. I can't imagine how hard fighting someone who looks just like Ventus must have been for him in that seen. The mod itself is crazy awesome; this was just something that crossed my mind while rewatching these particular cutscenes for the first time since playing 358/2 Days.
I doubt Terra had conscience in the guardian, at least until LW got destroyed.
It’s good that Roxas isn’t Ventus yes they are connected but Ventus was sleeping at that moment

wish i could the whole game remade WITH the multiplayer mission modes including co-op on the story missions, imagine fight the entire xion fight with friends, i never got to experience that on 358 bc i was the only one who had the dam game

The map looks so much better this time around! I could almost believe that it came from KH3 this time. And the multiplayer portion was a great touch! I honestly didn't see the portion playing as Riku against Roxas coming, but the transition was so clean I couldn't even tell at first that we had switched to Roxas fighting Riku.
The heartless didn't stop responding they just didn't wanna catch a seizure with all the fireworks
Have to say, the creative decisions on display were _inspirational._ Like at the end, to highlight just how outmatched Roxas was, his health and magic are reset to be hopelessly low.
I'm sure someone might be able to pull off the No-Hit challenge with that set-up, but MAN it would take serious skill.
If there was a fight in the whole Kingdom Hearts series that I not only wish had an actual fight, but led to an alternate ending if you won, Roxas Vs. Riku Ansem was it.
At first I thought the Riku vs Roxas fight was literally gonna be split-screen multiplayer PvP VS too! XD
Yeah I would've done that but p2 would be in trouble. Man can't use magic and he can't block efficiently.
@@quoy4 Maybe you could train him or something? Also change both people's stats if they need changing to make it fair but still fun.
@@rickywalters7717 ah I don't mean that my friend is bad, I meant the player 2 physics. They're heavier than player 1 and some mechanics aren't as smooth as player 1's. If you press guard with player 2, there's a 30% chance nothing will happen.
From a technical, gameplay, and storytelling perspective, this is absolute perfection.
Canonically, if Days ever got a remake, I’d fully support upping Riku’s power level so he can realistically have this fight with Roxas. Canonically, Roxas’ entire life has been combat and training so I can believe he could be this powerful. We don’t know a ton about how Riku escaped the RoD or his experiences between CoM and Days, but I imagine it can be rewritten to explicitly mention him training and beginning to embrace using darkness and light together rather than being hesitant to do so. The canon implied in this video beautifully builds upon the canon we have now.
The final battle in kh 358/2 is one of my favorite moments in the KH Series, I never thought I could see a better version, it's amazing.
Time flies, it's almost been 20 years since I first saw this game at my relative's house. There's a character using a key as a weapon, and Donald Duck helps him fight, the character is Sora. Eventually, I was able to buy my own PS2 with my first salary, the first game I bought was Kingdom Hearts but because I didn't know there were 3 Kingdom Hearts games (KH 1, KH COM, and KH2) and the store only had KH COM, so I bought it without knowing anything. When I first played it, I said "What the hell is this, why i need cards to attack, and more important question where is my Donald Duck" hahaha. Before, every time I finished work I would go home and play without thinking about anything else. Now I am married, 30 years old, and we are planning to have a child. Time really flies

And vice versa. Riku's HP wasn't perfect once it switched to Roxas' perspective either.
Are we gonna talk about how epic it is that Roxas was returning to The World That Never Was to kill Xemnas and Organization XIII BY *HIMSELF* ? Real talk tho: he'd probably win
I mean it took Sora and Riku to beat Xemnas prior to him absorbing Kingdom Hearts. So i believe that Roxas by himself

So, here's the thing for KH 358/2 Days Remake Idea:
1: It has 2 Main Plot: Roxas and Xion. Roxas story is up until Xion's death, while Xion's story until Axel Boss.
2: Then a 3rd plot appears: Riku. This is a plot of what Riku's doing behind the scenes, it has a lot to do with DiZ and Namine.
3. After Riku plot complete, a secret episode appears. This is the plot when Roxas is about to rampage on the organization.
4. Player POV will change constantly in this chapter between Roxas' and Riku's
5. In the final battle, player will choose between using Roxas or Riku, this leads to 3 endings:
Ending 1: Roxas loses (Easy: CANON)
Ending 2: Riku Wins (Hard: CANON with extra scenes up until roxas 7 days in twilight town)
Ending 3: Roxas wins (Very Hard: Alternate Ending)
This is the single most incredible masterpiece you've released thus far, I didn't think for a second KH3 Modding would get this unbelievable, from the smallest details such as Roxas running with the keyblade behind his shoulder to his movesets focusing entirely on one-handed combat (when not duel-wielding). Fantastic work to all those included in making every one of these individually breath-taking mods!
Such an amazing mod. I love how it retells the secret movie from both perspectives (original movie in 1 and the ending of 358)

I guess almost everyone forgets that in the first trailer, it's shown that Roxas uses the Kingdom Key after he throws Oblivion to Riku, so it's nice to see it be used here too.
My God the dream has finally come true! A playable "deep dive"! Two of my very favorite forms of both of my favorite characters, this was the scene that made me love Roxas, and base my entire identity off of him. I have no words other than this is simply breathtaking. I love this so much thank you to all who was involved in this 🥹😭🙏💜🫂🎮🕹️💯

Perhaps when there's downloadable map mods for those respective fights. I've done a few of them already like Ventus+Mickey vs Vanitas and Lingering Will vs Terra-Xehanort.
