Based on the original CQUartz, CQuartz UK was developed in the United Kingdom for use in cold, damp climates where most ceramic coatings typically struggle. A new fast flashing carrier was used in this version 3.0 to enhance curing in difficult conditions. Also, the silica-quartz content was increased to 70% which creates and even harder and purer glass layer.
These enhancements allow CQ UK 3.0 to be easily applied in temperatures as low as 37 degrees Fahrenheit (3 degrees Celsius). CQUK 3.0 has improved gloss, water behaviour and chemical resistance (pH 3 to 14). It offers incredible resistance to chemicals, salt, and environmental damage, and provides excellent UV protection.
It’s a simple wipe on, wipe off application. It can be buffed of levelled immediately, or left on for a few minutes and it will still buff off easily. No sticky surface or grabby wipe off!
It can be applied to paint, metal, plastics and more. Real world durability is said to be 18 to 24 months. Two coats are recommended. Keep the car dry at least 24 hours after application. Avoid detergents and chemicals for at least 5 days after application. Once applied, CarPro Reload and CarPro Reset are perfect for maintenance washes.
Do not apply in direct sunlight or on hot surface. Do not re-use the suede applicators. Do not re-use the towels you used to buff off the product on paint. Wear gloves and respiratory protection such as a painter’s mask while working.

Yes you were among the early subscribers! I remember that. Nice to see you’re still around to see my channel evolve! :)
Hey Pan, the quality of your videos is outstanding.
Thanks! I appreciate it!!
Thanks pan for keeping up new product reviews
My pleasure Mike! 👍🏻
Well Pan, I did it! My first ever ceramic coating, using this product and knowledge gleaned from your videos: Many thanks! I had already deconned the car to put on Hydro2 a few weeks ago so settled for a light decon, machine with CarPro Essence then apply CQuartz and top off with Reload. The CQuartz took much longer than I anticipated in the buffing off stage but all's well that ends well!
Awesome!
ALL THESE THINGS HAPPEN BECAUSE YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE. YOU MAKE A FIRST CLASS TUTORIALS TO GUIDE THE PROFESSIONAL AND ENTHUSIASTIC CONSUMERS. THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEOS OF GREAT QUALITY AND YOUR TIME. VIDEOS WITH GREAT BENEFIT FOR ALL OF US. THANK YOU.
Thanks
Great video Pan, well explained as well, as always!
Thank you!! I appreciate it !! :)
Great products! My customers are always happy to see the results when their cars are detailing with CarPro products!
Awesome Products!!
I plan on using 3.0 on my satin vinyl wrap. Will it enhance the sheen? No flashing needed before wipeoff?
mark Saf wait to flash about 30 sec, make sure it's fine even layer, it won't add shine once dried
Thank you!!
Thank you pan for the advice !!
My pleasure John!
What's your favourite video on my channel so far?
Greetings from California. Your channel is so helpful. I just completed a full decon, 2 stage correction, and application of ceramic coating using carpro products. Love your walk through explanation. Thank you, Sir and congrats on your success. Subscribed. 👍
Thanks Daniel!! And since you subscribed to my channel, let me welcome you to the Pan TheOrganizer family!
How did you discover my channel? And what car do you drive?
I hope you watched one of my latest videos where I fully detail my brand new 2018 BMW M550i here: ruclips.net/video/dsCmJJDP3xo/видео.html
2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport in electric blue. Cquartz with bliss is amazing.
Yes it is! Your color must pop in the sun! 👍🏻😎
Read about this when CarPro announced it just recently, I'll definitely be getting a bottle once I finish off my last old UK bottle. It's going to be neat to see how this holds up over time. Thanks for another great video Pan!
Yup, another great coating offering from CarPro! You won't be disappointed!
100k is just around the corner. I'm just gonna say congratz prematurely
Thanks! I can't wait to hit that magical mark! :)
Excellent video as always.
Thanks Errol !!
You're getting to 100k subs Congrats Pan and Great videos as always :)
Thanks Amirul!! I can't believe it's happening! 100K subs... we're over 10 million views... It's crazy! Hard work pays off. :)
Nice video. Almost to 100K subs. Congratulations to you Pan
Thanks Harshvir! Yup we’re almost at 100K!!! 👍🏻🎊🎊🎉🎉
I love how honest you are.
Thanks. How did you discover my channel?
Pan TheOrganizer To be honest, I found you randomly, but the cool thing is that I've been watching and studying detaliers on youtube for a while, especially AmmoNYC, Chemical Guys, and others sprinkled in. I found you after I watched a video labled '14 minutes of pure detailing.' This was three weeks ago, and I fell in love with your videos and your unbiased views. I even took your 2017 best products videos to heart and have bought one from each category except ceramic coating and machines. All I have to say is thank you for giving me the best products to make me feel confident about how I detail, because I'm no master but I've been practicing on my car for some time now and I feel like I know more than most and that I consider myself slightly above apprentice.
Thanks for the positive feedback and kind words. Detailing has been one of my biggest passions for over 20 years, and I think it shows in my videos. In just over 2 years since I started my channel, I've quickly grown to one of the biggest car detailing channels on RUclips, with over 135 000 subscribers and almost 14 million views so far, well on my way to break past 200K subs by year's end. I'm blessed with an awesome audience and I have many surprises to come!
I upload new videos each week, so make sure you tune in for tomorrow's new video! :)
What country do you live in? Cheers from Canada!
Pan TheOrganizer Good day, United States.
Awesome! And what's your favorite video on my channel so far?
NEARLY 100K GOOD WORK PAN !
YES SIR !!! We're almost there!!! AMAAAAAAAAAAZING !!!!
Pan TheOrganizer 👍👌
i just applied cquartz 3.0 on my honda accord and it's amazing I am going to apply gliss in 2 days I can't wait to see how it works
How it going
Congrats on 100k pan! You're the best.
Thanks!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊👍🏻
Pan. So I used the Carpro Ck Quartz 3.0 yesterday when the temperatures in Los Angeles reached 64 degrees. Since we’re on lockdown, what better time to detail your car at home. I followed all the prep steps and then applied the Ceramic coating. It went very smooth and simple. I was worried about the flash times and was initially afraid of messing it up. The 3.0 version is very forgiving with respect to flash times so it was really easy. Anyway. A great experience and the gloss is out of this world. Thanks for all the great teaching videos. Scott
Top coating!! 👍🏻
Excellent review thanks
Thanks Dave !!
Thanks for the great video. Look forward to trying 3.0
Thanks for the feedback Steve! :)
What country are you watching from?
Pan TheOrganizer United States - San Diego, California. I actually tried Cquartz UK edition based on your video for top products 2017. I can see why you liked it so much.
Yup. It’s a serious coating.
Hey pan! My cquk 3.0 just came in last week and I am beyond excited to try it out on my car next weekend with all the tips and techniquesI’ve learned from you! I’ll keep you posted on how everything goes!
Awesome Andrew! You'll enjoy it for sure!
hey man, from where did you get the 3.0 ?
im in germany and i cant find it anywhere.
If you are a car enthusiast or a high school student that just wants your car to pop and be protected listen to this guy, he's 100% right about these products, watch his other video about how to apply, really straight forward step by step application tutorial, i have used cquk here in Canada and awesome results on black paint looks wet always.
Thanks for the kind words fellow Canadian! 🇨🇦👍🏻
Was that the classic or 3.0 you used?
@@PanTheOrganizer is this product worth the money and whats the best way to install it
I watched the original video. Bought CQuartz. Then ceramic coated my 9 year old VW. Also used CQuartz Dlux on my wheels, trim, and exhaust tips, the car looks better than they day I picked it up when brand new! Gonna use 3.0 on my new RS3 when I get it hopefully this week or next week!
👍🏻👍🏻. Congrats on the new RS3! I hope you watched my video where I fully detailed an RS3 here: ruclips.net/video/641mAJfKDLM/видео.html
Great video as always. I hope to get uk and gliss applied by beginning of may.
You’ll love that combo! That’s what I have on my BMW!
So the Gliss should be applied right after the 3.0 is it?
pfffft i bought the other and waiting for the right day, now you show me this. great videos PAN
Hehe thanks !!! If you already have CQUK, you’ll love it!
I miss your washing/detailing videos... nice video review btw ✌🏼
No worries! The detailing season is about to hit full swing here in Montreal, so expect many full detailing videos! :)
Nice vid Pan, love the Carpro products...
Thanks!
How did you discover my channel?
I subbed last year, found you searching for ceramic coating install, great vid also.
Thanks for the positive feedback!
It's also at a great pricepoint!
Absolutely!
Damm what a coincidence. Today I was about to post you to review 3.0 and I opened youtube and saw the video already up. Coool👌🏻👌🏻
It's almost as if I read your mind!! :)
Pan TheOrganizer the main reason why I really love your channel😉 I will soon order these to try on my vehicle after full correction. Thanks
Thanks for the kind words! :)
Hi Pan. Thanks for your great informative series of videos. Learning a lot! When I applied this, I found that it wasn't easy to buff out after a couple of minutes - it was still very liquid on the surface. Does that likely indicate I was using too much? It seemed to flash after more like 10 minutes. Also, I did not have the best lighting conditions unfortunately, and I think some spots have ended up a little hazy where perhaps I didn't buff out soon enough or well enough. How would you recommend to address that? Go back and polish and then re-apply?
thanks pan great video wr i can purchese
Check the links in the description under the video.
Please do more detailing videos
Absolutely! With the detailing season hitting full swing this spring, expect many videos!
I tried CQUARTZ after watching this video and using cheap $5 MR FIX Ceramic prior. All i can say is CARPRO CQUARTZ is AMAZING!!!!!!!! SOOOOO SHINY !!!!! SOOOO SLICK AND GLOSS!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING STUFF. and super easy to work with
Thanks for watching!
How did you discover my channel?
So I just finished installing two coats of the UK 3.0 and I definitely think you should make a video about lighting/ viewing angles because I was struggling so much with actually seen the products when applied and the rainbowing and flashing it was a nightmare took me 4 hours to do one coat. Also might be different with different colored vehicles.
Had the same problem on a bright red car today, good product but on this car i can barely see the high spots inside or outside
My detailer uses CarPro because they are the best out there.
It's one of my favorite coating brands for sure! They've won so many of my car detailing products awards!
PAAAAAN The Organizer ! Love you stuff. Great info as always but I miss the enthusiasm in intro where we got the big Paaaaan. The French version didn’t have it either. Please don’t give up on that. We love it here for sure. Always a fan either way 🤘🏼
Thanks! On the anglophone side, it's a mixed bag for the long Paaaaaaaan intro... Many love it, some don't. Hard to please everyone lol...
Pan TheOrganizer I am Always pleased with your work ! We are one the side of the long and enthusiastic Paaaaan intro though. Just extra credit ;-)
@@inxs13 he did it on the French version just now
Very informative video! I’m wanting to coat my car with this product; just bought a new car. This video, as well as the other one of you coating your 4 series and newer 5 series will be helpful. I unfortunately got duped into getting the dealership “protection” plan for my car which claims they put a “diamond ceramic coating” on my vehicle....Will this process work for getting their “special” material off, or do I need to take extra measures before applying Cquarts?
Awesome video!
Do we need to apply reload on each wash? I got the honey dew foam and the reset for washing the car wasn't sure if I needed to apply reload on each wash.
Pan is the man you wish you have as a neighbor!!
Hehe thanks!
Hey Pan! As always, loving the videos! I always re-watch your videos to catch more details i missed the first time! Lol I was wondering, what's your opinion on THIS product vs Optimum Gloss Coat. I'm kind of stuck in between those two, any opinions??
Both great, but my favourite consumer grade coating is still CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0
Tough choice I like the 2018 awards video
Thanks for the feedback!
Hi Pan,
I have been BINGE watching all your car detail videos. Could you please let me know if this product beats the Turtle wax Ceramic spray? I know you picked this ceramic coating as your favorite in the 2019 awards video, but this seems like a lot of products to shampoo on/condition/many required steps. I am glad I found this video before buying this. Also, these parts add up the price really quick compared to Turtle Wax Ceramin/Seal.
I live in California, we have more sun here than rain.
Thanks for supporting my channel!
To answer your question, you can’t even compare a true ceramic coating like CQuartz UK 3.0 with Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray Coating which is a spray form silica based sealant. The CarPro lasts 2 years compared to 9-10 months for the Turtle Wax. CarPro costs a lot more and takes much more time and experience to apply. CarPro is a prosumer/enthusiast grade product where the Turtle Wax is more entry level, weekend warrior, less expensive protectant.
The two are great products, but are in different categories.
Watch my video where I talk about the differences between waxes, sealants, ceramic coatings and spray coatings: ruclips.net/video/Yxz3zSVIm-g/видео.html
Hey pan awesome as usual the the videos. Hey do you to throw the towels out when using the reload like you do on the coating, thanks again
No need to throw the towels used for Reload. Just wash them after use.
Will these products completely washout of your microfiber towels allowing you to reuse them? I like you videos and I am very interested in this product.
Hi Pan! I’m a new subscriber and I’ve already learned so much from you. I’m waiting on my cquartz in the mail and am super excited to apply. I was just wondering if there were any glosses or waxes that can be applied over the ceramic coating for extra protection?
Since you subscribed to my channel Eric, let me officially welcome you to the Pan TheOrganizer family! How did you discover my channel?
First, congrats on the CQuartz UK 3.0. That is my favourite consumer grade ceramic coating! To answer your question, you don't apply waxes on top of ceramic coatings. You apply silica based spray sealants, or a topper like CarPro Gliss. I made a video here: ruclips.net/video/d2wDvUIYrtw/видео.html

Pan TheOrganizer I appreciate the reply! I stumbled across your page when I was looking up reviews on chemical guys products and just kept on watching your videos after that! Thanks for the advice and I’ll follow those steps. I also have CG HydroSlick that I’ve been waiting to use. Do you think your next review can be on HydroSlick??
That Volkswagen Golf Alltrack in the thumbnail! 😎☺
Yes that customer was super happy with the results!
Hey Pan, love all the videos and appreciate the help. Wanted your quick opinion if you have time. Would you recommend a product like CQuarts for my 2017 Chevy Suburban? New to me, plan to own for many years. I’d like to use this or a product like JetSeal instead of waxing all the time. Just curious if a ceramic coating is a good idea on daily driver, winter driven, wash once-a-month vehicle? Thanks for your time.
A ceramic coating is the best form of paint protection period. It’s like a paint sealant on steroids that will last years instead of months.

Love video again, I am little off subject manner here, but trying to fine what product u use on interior of car. I am looking for cleaner, conditioner and dressing for leather and stuff for door and dash that will last awhile from uv. Thanks again . Pan and OG garage are my favorite videos to watch.
If you want an "all-in-one" cleaner and protectant for plastic trim, Chemical Guys Inner Clean is great. If you want to clean, I use Chemical Guys All Clean+ diluted 1:20 for interior use, followed by CarPro PERL diluted 1:5 for plastics, vinyl, rubber, etc. Great UV protection.
Pan in your opinion is the second coat really needed if you make sure when applying it's done very evenly. As CQ has all the protective elements in a single coat I am guessing the second coat would be to cover any areas missed.
Exactly. The second coat is to ensure proper coverage.
Great videos! I have a couple of questions i would appreciate your input on. Is one bottle of of the ceramic enough for a full car two coats? Also, when you say don’t re use the towels that was used to buff off the ceramic, you mean per car correct? So once i have completely finished buffing of the ceramic on a car, i should get rid of that towel ?
One 30 mL bottle should be enough to apply 2 coats on at least 2 cars.
And yes exactly, you throw the towels away once you're done doing the entire car.
Another excellent tutorial Pan...thank-you! I applied the CQ 3.0 today while following the steps to your earlier prep and application video to a tee. My vehicle from today is garaged and curing nicely with a single coat of 3.0 and the Reload spray...may I still apply a second coat of 3.0 and the Gliss tomorrow or is it too late Pan?
If you applied Reload, now it’s too late. But if you took your time and applied a nice even coat or CQuartz you’re fine. In 6 months to a year, you can apply a coat of Gliss to boost your coating’s performance.
I had a hunch the Reload was gonna cook my goose...no worries and thanx kindly for the prompt reply and the superb information Pan!
Hi Pan, Great video as always! Just wondering is Carpro Cquartz UK edition and reload suitable to protect matt paint? or will it leave a gloss finish and damage the matt effect? Thanks in advance for any advise
You have to use a coating for matte paint like Gyeon Matte.
Pan can you do a video on how to remove an old ceramic coating before applying a new ceramic coating.
That's a great idea! Although it's pretty simple but hard work. It's essentially going through machine polishing (compound and polish) until you're at the clear coat level.
Another awesome vid Pan. Just wondering if it would be a good idea to do 2 coats of cquartz, with a coat of gliss, and a coat of reload? or would the reload not be able to adhere due to the gliss application?
Thanks Shawn! To answer your question. 2 coats of CQUK and one coat of GLISS is perfect. Keep in mind, Reload is optional and only needed if your car will be exposed to rain or water during the first 5-7 days. Make sure you don't expose your car to water after the first 24 hours for sure!
+1. Very instructive. Makes me think I could put this stuff on myself after I pay to have someone install PPF on my new Tesla. Sir Pan, do you think this new CQuartz product will get along with being laid down on PPF? Different prep procedure.
Absolutely! You can apply it on top of PPF and vinyl wraps too.
You can and many do. But I have a problem with putting a very hard glass like coating on top of a soft self healing film that can be repaired with a heat gun or steam. I may be wrong but I always will wrap the front and mirrors of a car and Ceramic Coat the non wrapped portions. Pan, what do you think?
@Pan TheOrganizer As always great video Pan, I'm glad I bought the cquartz UK a while back after watching your video. I might buy another cquartz uk to apply to my car, do I have to remove the first layer of ceramic coating? And how do i do that? From, another of your many loyal subscribers
To remove a ceramic coating, you have to go through heavy machine polishing (compound and polish). But if your coat isn't failing, why remove it?
At this point, you’d be better off applying what is called a “top coat” which will last a full year, boost gloss, UV protection, and add slickness to the paint.
Watch my CarPro Gliss top coat tutorial video here: ruclips.net/video/d2wDvUIYrtw/видео.html
wouldve been nice to include water test cquk vs cquk 3.0
Hi Pan- since the coating lasts 18-24 months, what's the preparation process for recoating the car? Clay, polish, IPA? Your videos are the best!
You're in luck, as I have a video tutorial on how to properly apply a ceramic coating on a car. Here: ruclips.net/video/byKcYsEyWGk/видео.html
It's ranked number one on RUclips for ceramic coatings, with over 1.4 million views so far! :)
I have a couple of questions.
1) How do you prep the window for ceramic coating?
2) Can you ceramic coat a Chevy sign? Silverado sign? Lt sign? What about the brake lights and plastic door handles? If so, then how?
3) Do you ceramic coat the rubber around the windows? If so, how do you prep it?
4) Do you ceramic coat vinyl wrap? What about stickers that advertise businesses or ZR1 stickers?
You don't apply this coating to glass. You apply it to painted surfaces, headlights and tail lights. For glass, I have a tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/yMi5PtyqUI8/видео.html
For plastic trim, CarPro has a coating called DLUX. Each surface has it's coating. Don't get confused.
Hi dear,
Hope you are doing well! I am living in dubai and here weather is hot very very hot. I would like to know which ceramic coating for beat for hot climate?
Hi Pan - messaging from Sydney Australia. Really enjoy your videos and watched your "how to apply ceramic coating (Cquartz)" quite a few times now and will be coating my car when the products arrive.
Questions:
1. how long does Cquartz and Gliss last after opening? I can't seem to find that info anywhere.
2. Can you re coat the Gliss (with new Gliss) after it wares off?
3. Any benefit to topping Gliss with Reload for 'extra' protection and during maintenance or is there no need?
Merci beaucoup for all the Great videos, keep up the great work.
1. Chemicals typically have a shelf life of 1-2 years as long as you keep them in stable conditions, non freezing. When opened, you have about 1 year to use a ceramic coating.
2. Yes. You can reapply Gliss every 6 months.
3. No. Gliss is basically Reload on steroids. But if you want more gloss and slickness, there’s no harm in applying Reload once every 3 months.
Would you compare Gliss to Ammo Reflex foundation coating. I ask because after doing some research i hear mixed reviews on different products for different layers. I was considering mixing up a few. For example using CQ.UK 3.0 as the ceramic coat then adding ammo reflex as the too coat. Lastly, using Gtechniq C2 V3. Let me know your thoughts. Also, your videos are outstanding! Thanks for all the constant knowledge!
Hi Anthony. I like both Gliss and Reflex. On my car, I have two coats of CarPro CQuartz UK Edition which I topped with a layer of Gliss roughly 6 months later, and then a layer of Reflex months after that. They all played well together. The cool thing about Gliss is the slickness it ads, and the best thing about Reflex is the insane gloss it ads. You can't go wrong with either one!
Thanks for watching!
Pan TheOrganizer Thanks brother! I appreciate the quick response! Excited to get started!
Hi very helpful video! My car looks great again! I have a question , will the coating prevent adhesive? I tried to add visors and carbon fiber door trim but I coated that as well and now they won't stick. Is it due to weather temperature or it's the coating itself that is making it not be adhesive? Please let me know and thank you!
The coating is meant to be very slick and hydrophobic and yup it could prevent adhesives from sticking.
How do you get rid of swirl marks on a ceramic coat?
Great videos. Can you please recommend a snow foam for UK based customers? Planning to apply a ceramic coating on my car but not sure which foam to use for maintenance. Many Thanks
Hi Cesar!
Here’s my maintenance wash for ceramic coated cars video: ruclips.net/video/yLiePQRMFc8/видео.html
Any good snow foam will do. I like Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam, Gyeon Foam, Angelawax Fast Foam and Adam’s Shampoo (or Ultra Foam). All great snow foams.
Hey Pan, I've been following your videos along the way as I detail my car and thought maybe you could help me out here..
Yesterday I applied my 2nd coat of cquartz 3.0 UK and while I was applying Reload today, I noticed a high spot on the door that I missed. I read somewhere that Essence+ removes highspots without 4removing the coating so I used some, applied by hand, and it removed the high spot but the more i wipe, the more I am creating cloudiness that is tough to take off unless I keep using the Essence+ but I am now spreading the cloudiness. it's been about 22 hours since the last coat, was it too soon to apply the essence+ and am I basically just removing the un-cured coating with it even tho it is non abrasive?
Excellent review Pan. Is the 50 ml kit is enough for large vehicle like suv and minivan and should you avoid soap that contain wax in it? Thank.
Yes you’ll be able to apply two coats with a 50 mL bottle on a large vehicle. Never use waxes or soaps with waxes on a coated car.
First off thanks for your excellent/informative/quality videos and I want your thoughts on a second coat. I first coated my car about 6 months ago with CarPro CQuartz UK and have been properly maintaining it by washing it with Reset and using Reload and it looks great but not sure if I should do a second coat at this point and unsure of the correct process. Do need to prep with Essence again? Thanks.
No. Simply wash with Reset. IPA wipe with Eraser. Apply CarPro Gliss top coat which is meant specifically for your case. I also had my CQUK for 6 months before I topped it with Gliss.
Here’s my detailed tutorial video on Gliss: ruclips.net/video/d2wDvUIYrtw/видео.html
Thanks and I didn't think Essence was necessary but I am new to ceramic coatings and I been very interested in Gliss and have seen your video and will reference it when I do eventually buy Gliss. Thanks for the help.
Thanks, Pan. After watching your videos I am getting more interested in trying Cquartz Uk 3.0 and I never even tried wax or anything before.
How long to wait for doing the 2nd layer of coat? After about 1 hour?
Does this sound good? Cquartz Uk 3.0 (2 layers), Gliss v2 as top coat and reapply every year, and on top of that Reload every 3 months. What would you recommend?
1 hour between each coat. And yes your last phrase is the correct procedure.
Hey Pan, have you tried Sonax’s (German) ceramic coating? I heard good comments about it and it’s about $40 cheaper than CQUK.
Is this good for plastic headlight lens's, after a polish???
Excellent job, i want to ask if carpro is inorganic, also i want to know if 2-3 layers of coat protects against cats walking on the car
CarPro recommends that two coats be applied (45-60 minutes between coats) but no, ceramic coatings don't protect against swirls or scratches or stone chips. Only PPF (paint protection film) will do that. Ceramic coatings are meant to protect against UV rays, boost gloss, add slickness, chemical resistance, and self-cleaning properties meaning the vehicle will be much easier to clean during maintenance washes.
Hey Pan can one apply wax over a ceramic coating? Great video by the way.
Thanks! No is the simple answer. Waxes and nano coatings aren’t compatible.
Just bought the kit today, see how it goes..
Oh you're going to love it!
Make sure you prep your paint properly. Do you have any experience with coatings?
Pan TheOrganizer im a retired journeyman automotive refinisher, lots experience w clearcoat but ya that was 1st ceramic coating I used. My customer loved it, see how long it will last for him..
Can it be applied to chrome trim on vehicles?
Hi Pan, after viewing all of your videos I decided to go for applying ceramic coating on my new car by myself , I planning to go with UK3.0, Please let me know how much time I should wait for the 2nd coat of UK3.0 ?
Thanks you so much for all your efforts in making very useful videos! Excellent !!!
1 hour in between coats. Wait one week before washing your car after you finish the job.
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you so much
Hi Pan! I followed your CarPro CQuartz video and ceramic coated my car. It looks amazing and I am indebted to you for all the youtube videos you provided. Question, I have 3 small areas that are "darker" than the rest of the vehicle, maybe I missed them when I leveled it out or didn't wipe as good in those areas. What do I do now? Wait 2 years for it to wear off? Go over it again? I'm sure this happens to many people...you might want to do a "Ceramic Coating Repair/Fix video". BTW, I did not 'see' these areas until the next morning. Love your channel and have been spending a lot of money buying up all your suggestions products.
Those are probably some high spots that you didn't see on time. The only way to remove those is by machine polishing, and then reapplying the 2 coats of CQuartz.
Pan TheOrganizer thank you!
Hi Pan! Do you recommend this in black cars? I have a 2019 VW GTI Black.
Color doesn't mind, always works
HI....Nice Job
On a older white car, Is it ok that i am not a great/professional machine polishing guy...
will the ceramic products shown here help make up where i may lack, and get a great shine anyway
Not ideal, but if you like the way your paint looks, you can skip the paint polishing steps.
I just got this today 👍 but quick question. Will the suedes that come in the box. 5 will it be enough to do one whole car? I heard it the little clothes get hard after one cycle from the ceramic. Thanks pan!!
I use 2 microsuede application cloths per vehicle and throw them after I’m done coating the car as yes they will crystallize and harden.
Hello
Thanks for the beautiful video
Can I use it on glass
Can I use it on leather seats?
Can I use it on fiber or plastic
Like the introduction of the car
Thanks again
I wish you success in your work and in your life
You can use it on paint, chrome, wheels and headlights/tail lights.
IS the 3.0 with GLiss considered a 9H type of hardness or is it like a 7H or other ratings? And what is the GYEON Syncro H level as they say its 9H as well.
What does flashing look like really I have a silver vehicle and it’s harder to see things on lighter colored vehicles. And if we apply a second layer do we do another wipe down to get rid of dust?
Hi Pan! Great product review again! I just wanna ask, in your professional opinion, can I apply a second coating of cquartz uk 3.0 after a week? Thanks in advance and more power!
No. You apply a second coat one hour after the first coat.
Thank you sir for being so helpful in detailing community!👌👍🏼
My pleasure!
When reapplying in 2 years, do you have to remove old residue before reapplying? If so, howmdo you do that? Will Eraser do it?
Hey did you ever find out?
Pan, my ceramic coating is 18 months old, I had it done by a professional, but since have gone to doing my own, as I reach the end of its life, what should I do to add remove the old and add a new c quarts 3.0?
Fully prep and polish your paint like in my popular ceramic coating application tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/byKcYsEyWGk/видео.html
Pan, after a first application is past its expected life (say we applied it two years ago), do you think we need to correct it off before reapplying a new coat? Or in most cases would you expect to just clean, polish, and then reapply?
I have no idea how to tell whether there's any left on the paint.
If you're near the 2 year mark and you don't see any water beading or sheeting anymore, then it's time to reapply. Before you do so, make sure you remove any traces of the old coating by compounding and polishing the paint first.
I was wondering the same. What if you have it layered on top of a PPF, how would you reapply after 2 years, I rather not compound my PPF.
Hey Pan!!!!!! First of all , your vídeos are fantástic!
I watch your vídeos regularly in special about ceramic Coatings.
My car had an applicatttion of Ceramic Pro ( one layer) 9H in December/2017 and the begginning of this year was done an reload using Ceramic Pro Sport. I use my car only on the weekend and between Dez/2017 till now i drove Around 2.000km.
My question is......I would like to know when will be necessary to apply another layer of ceramic coating ?
I am evaluating to apply C. Quartz 3.0 but i dont know if it necessary to do some procedure before because my car already has an coating by another brand.
Greetings from Brazil!!!!
You could apply a true top coat like CarPro Gliss to boost your coating’s performance: ruclips.net/video/d2wDvUIYrtw/видео.html
Or CarPro Lite: ruclips.net/video/B49UeM2SVGc/видео.html
Great video. I am new to ceramics and am going to get a kit for my 2016 Chevy Silverado and my 2017 Sea Doo jet ski. Will a 50mL (provided its available in the 3.0) be enough for both machines? I am going to wait for the 3.0 now. Since both vehicles are relatively new application should be simple (I hope) the truck does have some scratches and I have no idea how to correct them as they might be too deep. I just don’t know enough about all of this.
PS: the jet ski has a significant amount of plastic both matte and glossy and other people said ceramic coatings work just fine on the plastics just have to work quicker, can you confirm this?
Hi Alex! One 30 mL bottle can do two coats on two cars. You’ll be fine.
You can apply the coating to any painted surface that has clear coat.
For someone who would be doing a ceramic coating for the very first time, would you say this is a safe product to add to my new car? Basically what could I do that would screw up my car with this stuff?
Of course it's safe on a new car, it's actually recommended to protect your new car from day 1. That's what I did to my new 2018 BMW M550i (see my other videos).
If you've applied waxes before, you can apply a coating. The only thing you have to be careful with is the flash time, meaning how quickly the carrier evaporates. You usually see that by looking for a rainbow effect on the paint, then it's ready to buff off (wipe off). Usually happens within 30 seconds to 2 minutes tops.
Pan. The US links you provided for the product seem to be for the original version and not the new 3.0. Is 3.0 available on Amazon yet?
Yeah it’s still too new and not listed yet. I’ll update the links as soon as it’s available.
Hey pan,
I’m undecided on getting the cquartz 3.0, Crystal Serum Light, And Servfaces. Can you give me your input those three? I want to get a nice glossy finish with strong hydrophobic properties.
Hi Pastor. CQUK 3.0 is my favourite coating in my 2018 awards video and it's what I applied to my own car. I have been testing GTechniq CSL and that's an awesome coating too. It's rated 3 to 5 years (compared to 2+ years for CQUK 3.0) so if you prefer durability, go for CSL. You only need to apply one coat of that plus two coats of EXO as a topper. CQUK 3.0 needs two coats, but you only have to apply one coat of Gliss as a topper, so three coats total like CSL+EXO.
For gloss and slickness and hydrophobic properties, CQUK and CSL are very similar. You're looking at two of the best consumer grade coatings money can buy. Gyeon Syncro is another great kit.
Two question. 1 can u add a sealant like jetseal on or does it have to be a spray formula? 2 can u add gliss right away? Or is it more of a maintenance thing
You never mix wax/sealants with ceramic coatings. Those are not compatible products. Once you are done applying your 2 coats of CQuartz, you wait at least 4 hours before applying Gliss. Gliss is a top-coat so perfect for getting a slicker paint feel and even more water beading and sheeting.
Two questions:
1. Do you use the same micro-suede for the whole car, or how often/many should you change throughout the job. I assume the material would start to harden after some time.
2. Can you use IronX or clay safely OVER the cured coating, in the event you have a some iron contamination down the road? I have a white vehicle and am wondering how I will maintain it if I have fallout imbed itself over time.
1. I use 2 or 3 micro-suedes per car, but you could still get away with using just one.
2. You can use IronX, but you never clay a ceramic coating.
Pan TheOrganizer Thanks. Do you flip the micro suede after a few sections or just stick to one side? Also, any steps in between coats, or just wait an hour and re-coat. Assuming you shouldn’t use the Reload until after the second coat has set for 30-60mins? Any clarification or tips appreciated.
Hi Pan, first of all thanks for great channel and you've taught me a lot about car detailing, but I have a question, I have a older car which is suffering from yellowing headlights whilst I can clean them with compound then polish with da polisher with little UV protection the yellowing returns and my question is as I am about to ceramic coat my car can you ceramic coat headlights for UV protection
Any advice appreciated
Yes you can coat headlights and tail lights.
Hello Pan. Do you know any brand of 1" and 2" backing plates for da machines 21 mm? Thanks
How long should you wait to apply reload sealant to ceramic coating, will I get slick feel on car after applying this product. What your thought on using Adams boast for ceramic coating. Are they similar product to use of choice.
After your final coat of ceramic coating, you wait one hour and then you apply Reload. Yes it will give the paint a slick feel. I've never used Adam's coating booster. They must be similar, but Reload is one of the best in the community of detailers.
How do you ceramic coat wheels that are clearcoat finished? And what about glass/vinyl/rubber, do you ceramic coat those too?
There are wheel coatings like CarPro DLUX. It's also good for plastics. For glass, there are glass coatings like CarPro FlyBy and Fictech Windshield.
You said this "was" your favorite. What is now? How does this compare to serum crystal light with Exo top? I'm not a detailer but I have done correction on my own car, Looking to coat my 13 Audi S6. It's black. Whats your recomendation? I plan on keeping it till it starts falling apart.
