Think the only thing I'd change, is either cutting the mattress in half so it can be stored in 'drive' mode without too much difficulty, or I'd use an air bed. Only problem with air beds is they aren't exactly stealth proof 😂😅 otherwise. Solid design! Minimalistic but effective and efficient. 😊
I'm in my Prius to save money and write a book. I went through 5 air mattresses and now ready to do it right. I didn't know air mattresses produce condensation in winter and gets sleeping bag wet. This is amazing, thank you.
They don’t…. Your Warm and moist breath gets cooled Down when it meets the windows/Roof and then the moisture falls Down on to your sleeping bag, because cold air can’t hold as much moisture as warm air.
@@bjarkenielsen8515 thanks for the info. I assume a leaking air mattress (as most of them are) will allow more of this moist breath into the atmosphere of the car and make it wetter than it otherwise would have been
@@chunkyfecalbreakfast it may do so. I didn’t think of that, because I always use a pump in order to avoid warm moist air from my lungs and thereby fungi inside my mattress. I guess that supports your argument. 🙂
@@chunkyfecalbreakfast But then again, - it only takes 5 BIG breaths to inflate my air mattres. That equates 2 minuttes of breathing. During a 8 hours sleep you'll breathe about (8hours x 60 minutes x 10 normal breaths) = 4.800 breaths. So the breaths you put into you mattres is close to nothing, compared to your overall breathing during a night's sleep. I still think my first argument holds up. (Its not the air in the mattress that makes the difference, - instead it is your overall nightly breathing that is the culprit)

@@Technikcheck2016 ... Right. Actually you placed the bed very low. You should have placed it high so that you could get place to keep more cabinets under it. While to make the bed, they place the mattress over stove, sink basin, toilet along with the other side that you made. So it becomes a bigger bed.

But if I'd had to live in a big city where I can't afford a small apartment, Foresty Forest way of life might be better idea.

Richard Hammond brought this idea in Top Gear’s Africa Special, where he, Jeremy Clarkson, and James May Turn their cheap £1,500 estates into campers to find the origin of the Nile River in Uganda.
I have a set-up in my Yeti, but the same problem - having to move and tilt a seat forward to provide a long enough bed. It annoys me that its JUST not long enough.
A tour of the camper conversion addressing the various aspects of the build (bed, cooking, storage, privacy, etc.) would have been more helpful. The build looks nice and well-though-out for such a small passanger car, but the video provides no details on functionality. Perhaps we'll learn more in a future video?
Why don't you just ask him to come and build yours? Some people are never happy. You ought to be grateful that he could be bothered to make the vid and share his ideas in the first place. Use your common sense and work stuff out foryourself

Cause slats are more comfortable
I later heard someone say that on a flat surface the mattress or pads are subject to molding so the slats allow for air flow and prevent molding.

Very good effort. But I think a lot of space is wasted on installing the water sink inside
You're right. The sink needs a lot of space, but it is also extremely practical.
@@Technikcheck2016 Yes I accept that. But I think if you thought about it differently, you would have saved more space. Good job anyway.
Richard Hammond brought this idea in Top Gear’s Africa Special, where he, Jeremy Clarkson, and James May Turn their cheap £1,500 estates into campers to find the origin of the Nile River in Uganda.
Wow what a great build
I have a set-up in my Yeti, but the same problem - having to move and tilt a seat forward to provide a long enough bed. It annoys me that its JUST not long enough.
I wonder if this layout would work in a hard top Humber. I’m 5’3 so short enough to fit . Need more information on the cabinets.
How’d you make the bed? I want to do that with leaving my seats in. That 2inch drop with the seats flat is an issue.
In the back i leveled up the entire frame, so that i was able to lay the frame down in the front on the back of my rear seats.
Thank you for replying. 😀🤓 I think I can do that. Learning lots and loving it!
Looks pretty cool
To je sebevražda. ;)
@@jan2862 A co bys dělal kdyby ti tam ruplo? Jel na ráfku? To je ještě větší sebevražda
šel bych mimo silnici a radši si zavolal odtah. Myslím že ty drobné za život stojí.
Skoda -simply clever!
Waitet too long for this comment😅👍🏻
@@Technikcheck2016 yeah, I figured it out, hence the comment 🤣
now you can go find the true source of the nile with those 3 british blokes on some car show
😅👍🏻
A tour of the camper conversion addressing the various aspects of the build (bed, cooking, storage, privacy, etc.) would have been more helpful. The build looks nice and well-though-out for such a small passanger car, but the video provides no details on functionality. Perhaps we'll learn more in a future video?
ruclips.net/video/3jO08QnF4a4/видео.html that's my latest video. Maybe I should shoot a video with my daily routine🤔
Why don't you just ask him to come and build yours? Some people are never happy. You ought to be grateful that he could be bothered to make the vid and share his ideas in the first place. Use your common sense and work stuff out foryourself
Wozu die Dachöatte unterm Himmel? Was hängt da dran?
Gotta love men...fecking brilliant!
The boards look like matches and I kept waiting for him to strike one.
Well, they never broke🤷🏼♂️
Still need a tour of finished build!

Amazing. I have an suv and I have to done this.
How wide is the bed please? This looks perfect for my Skoda!
60 cm. My new conversion has a wide of 1 to 1,2 m
@@Technikcheck2016 thank you for the reply. I'll check out your new conversion now!
What kind of bed cushions are those?
Sieht richtig gut aus 🙂
could you consider sharing blueprints, like bed frame etc..
By the way-I had an Opel Astra(station wagon) many years ago.Once we had to sleep in it with my wife and the baby (two years old). And it was comfortable. And I was young, and the life was happy, and the son was baby...,..eeeeeehhh.
😂😂😂😂
Respeeeeekt! 👍👍👍 Sehr geile Idee!
I’m loving it!!!👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Nicely done! Are the bed slats from Ikea? Greetings from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
The bad slats were usual 90cm ones. I saw off only 15cm left and right and built hinges on it. Greetings from Germany
@@Technikcheck2016 thank you for the information!
Top gear style. Love it
Realy nice i like it very much ❤️👍😎 Good Work 👍
Bro saw the top gear africa special and said "I want one of those"
Beautiful. I have a large dog though, so not enough room. I might have to eliminate the sink cabinet. How did you make the bed slats?
I'm really glad I have the sink, but of course it's not necessary. On my instagram channel: @germantraveller2020 -> "Ausbau" you can find more pictures of the bed slats
@@Technikcheck2016 Oh, sadly I do not use instagram. Neither do I use facebook, only RUclips
Joder
Me he gustado mucho
SUV or truck? I need to decide 😂🤦♂️
10min ausladen, Reifen wechseln, einladen weiterfahren.
