To be fair, 99% of players doesn't even come close to Stodeh's aim.
True I feel some need to remember this
Maybe because nobody plays BF except for complete bots or literally bots.
I think same goes for the railgun-outcry as well. It looks devestating when players like Silk and Stodeh uses them - but in reality I have never really been bothered with it.

the dart worked just like this back in bad company 2, but it was reaaaaaly hard to hit infantry. the only reliable infantry target is a camping sniper

You could flare off the dart in BC2 though. I'm not sure if you can do that here because the footage doesn't seem to show that.
@@anglerfishtanking not entirely sure how it works for 2042 but its possible locking onto the dart doesnt trigger lockon alarm which might be why we dont see flares on clips, but I guess we will see tomorrow
@MFM-Art yeah there was no lock on tone in BFBC2 either, you just had to spot it glowing on your heli before they were able to get a shot off at you.

Lis and Rao make the stealth heli already the least effective vehicle in the game
There are lots of one-hit kill guns in BF2042. The tracer dart becomes another, but it requires a teammate to get the kill. It’s really not much different than NTW50 or crossbow, etc.
I'm pretty sure the patch notes said you can shoot the reader darts at the ground and they can be locked on to. Also they said 25% health was the threshold for Crawford's ability. It's been a few days since I read it but I'm sure that's all on there

at least you have to be an engineer and a recon duo to be able to use this, tracer velocity should be changed though
Not enough people are carrying the javelin or rockets now. Because if you hack both players and vehicles the rockets and javelin will give you're team lock on and I played for 2 hours yesterday hacking everything and not one person locked on to my hack.
Oh man, can't wait to recreate the old BF3 javelin squad again
So here are my thoughts about the Dart - Javelin and some of the gadgets that are teased here.
I believe that the Dart is going to be massively problematic, especially if they do not have a Drop off point... Laser Hitting a Vehicle like the Rail gun.
Here is a list of things that would improve the gameplay that negotiations need to be established before release...
- Aircraft / Helicopters: I believe they need to be Remastered on their physics as well Damage capabilities towards vehicles. 30MM / 25MM should be able to damage any vehicle regardless of loadout. The reason I say this is that I focus more on Air Vehicles not helping the ground troops, especially running the 30MM (In my opinion is useless). I'd imagine that a 30MM should have a splash damage effect that could demolish Infantry and Vehicles at the expense of Slower Rpm and Higher Bloom. The 20MM Has accuracy in mind but absolutely tears through the Transports or at least manages to disable the miniguns unless they are repaired internally with the repair torch.
- Rail-Gun Tank~ As much as I like the 1 Shot capability. It's a long range Sniper Tank... Maps are too small for the Rail gun tank and should be only used on Conquest "Large" maps. It is pointless to have a Sniper tank that shoots Air vehicles out of the sky in 1 shot. In compensation of this... I think the Aircraft should have a location of spawning in on ground level and taking off... The Rail tank has too much capability to Respawn lock vehicles that spawn in air... It's not guaranteed but by my skills with it, I abuse the fact I can spawn camp their Air Vehicles... (Maybe make spawn points where Air vehicles are not in the Air...
- Jet Spawns / Heli-Spawns. I believe they should appropriately have a Carrier they spawn onto... and take off... it gives the jets and Helicopters the ability to take off and manage their placement on the battlefield without having to worry about the 1 shot Tank that prevents them from spawning.
- Gun play.... Their guns there is no need to change any weapon on exception to the FTW-50. Increase it's Range capability to a 50. Bullet should be able to launch at higher ranges. However, in compensation of, It requires being prone to scope down... (Similar to BF5 with the Anti-Material rifle.)
Lastly, I am 10/10 glad they are Focusing on Spawns and Battlefield, But I think they should increase the map sizes for Large Conquest and Small Conquest. Isolating them in their own category for people who like massive maps and battlefields will benefit, and Large Conquest ~ Is a LONG battle. Approximately, at least an hour-long battle or longer... depending on the capture points and something like breakthrough... But Conquest based, Given the Resources I could boastfully give 2042 a Map that everyone would like... Which will require 128 players as well, make it possible for maps to be loaded.
- Finally~ Matchmaking. I am tired of loading in at the end of a Match only to be sent back to the loading screen. This is a personal problem as well global internal problem because Match making should be handled right away, Loading in at the end of the match expecting at least mid-match or starting, Should not be allowed to join at a certain criterion of the match... That should change.
These are all great ideas that have been in previous recent BF games. There’s so obvious, but for some reason DICE decided to not do them. It’s mind boggling… what a huge step back this game has been.
This is literally the one place where no one at dice will see anything you suggestes

I expect DICE / DICE LA to at the very least make sure all their flaws and potential issues are addressed, Because I do say this is a potential game, They have a lot of potential assets and planning, They just have to focus on key features that people are expected to play, As well fix the two major things I'd like.
"Jet Combat Overhaul ~ As well Spawn point & Map Design." They Fixed the Jets to having their own category as one of my comments on another channel, I'd hope they'd take some idea and use the idea's that people give rather than the mediocre Hate-mail.
Let’s be real: no one is going to use a gadget that gives another player all the glory. Case in point: when was the last time you saw anyone SOFLAM? This is OP sure, but it won’t be utilized enough to be a problem
Players use soflam all the time in conquest on servers I play on.
When I'm in a tank I'm being targeted with the soflam a lot.
To be fair, that tracer dart javelin combo can only be stopped by Irish’s trophy system thing.

How would someone even know that they've been hit by a tracer dart? There may be an indicator when you're driving a vehicle but not necessarily as a soldier.
Personally, I am mostly bothered with the fact that you don't even have to go straight for a vehicle or infantry and just aim somewhere around them and you're still effective with the amount of blast damage it deals. While tracer dart gun + Jav combo might not be so popular, Rao "SOFLAM" + Jav will be very devastating and probably quite popular. We'll see how it goes this tuesday.

Yeah luckily when I'm using nightbird I always flare as soon as I see a Rao hack starting you get about a second to react which doesn't sound like much but it is enough
@@chowbox87 Not really. I main Rao and there still doesn't seem to be enough people taking advantage of my hacks, despite the fact that I'm hacking every time a heli or transport gets in range.
The stigmatism of the weak rocket launchers that existed in this game before now is still too strong I guess. It may not be worth it for many people to bother picking the engineer class yet.
I'd be okay with the dart if it has a reduced effective range you have to be close for it to hit anything. i wouldn't personally waste a javelin rocket on infantry so hopefully that gets removed i'd expect my engineers to hit vehicles not infantry
To be fair this mechanic was in BF3 and BC2 previously and it worked fine. It’s fun stuff
Am I experiencing a glitch with the "plus system" on ps4!?! Its switched to holding down triangle to bring up and is fucking soo stupid and broken and i dont see a way to switch it back to being L1. Now L1 and up on the d pad throw grenades.

Do you have the same bug since the update? I can't shoot immediately after aiming. A bit like I had an LMG, while I use the M5, 30 round magazine and 1x25 sight. I dont have the bug all the time, and i don't have it on Aimlab.
The mouse input are better, but sometimes it's the keyboard input which seems unresponsive at times, unless Dice has slowed down the rate at which actions can be chained.

Insane is the ads speed now slow as sniper rifle. Until there's balance in the game its always going to be lacking. Also look at the amount of cover on breakaway compared to rest . Dice just doent think things through. Imo

this only goes for lock ons by other vehicles, Infantry won't get affected by this feature.
Funny, because back in BF4 it also made you save from almost every lock on from the ground, seems like Dice forgot how to balance their vehicles since 2042

the only way to make this a better game would be to give weapons real ballistic stats and keep the differences among armies. keep the fire rate of the real weapon and the range, the damn tank has the H.E.A.T that drops at 100 meters..... how the hell is that possible !!!!

I don't see the javelin being much of a nuisance after the honeymoon period. Less players will have rocket launchers anyway.

I don't know why people try to make a big deal out of this combo. It is not a viable thing and people will never use it. It will be used a couple of times to troll people and that's it. Shooting someone is much easier than hitting them with a tracer dart and locking on with Javelin. The time and effort will never be worth. People don't even bother to lock on to vehicles when they are marked.
I'm not sure yet I'll have to play and see, just watched jack's vid but stod does have pretty broken aim. Raos paint when hacking buff could be annoying and claymores/ap mines have always been annoying af

Hitting a dart is about as easy as using scout heli miniguns
If infantry gets hit by a dart/jav its borrowed time, you should have already been dead from another players bullet and someone was just having fun.
Airburst on the otherhand, that is going to be proper AIDS with how frequent it is about to become.

Regarding the tracer dart, first I guess we will see what really happens when the game patch comes out but for now I'm not too worried about it being OP. First of all the evidence presented on the dart potentially being OP is the case when two players are 100% coordinating with each other. This type of coordination rarely happens in the real world of playing BF 2042. Secondly while they aren't exactly the same there can be parallels drawn between the dart and the SOFLAM. I have never seen the SOFLAM dominate any match and in the instances where I have used it I can count the number of aircraft shot down on one hand. I don't have the stats but I suspect that the SOFLAM is hardly used and there is a reason for it. That being that there isn't the player coordination in real world games to make it effective. Now the the reason could be that the SOFLAM is broken or nerfed to the point of ineffectiveness however I'm not aware of that being the case.
That really sucks that 2042 doesn’t have much player coordination. That was my favorite part of battlefield, by far…

Yeah. But we had the Carl G in BC2 not the Jav. And that tracer dart had to have some arc to it for longer range shots.

One question - Is this a bug/oversight/exploit or an intended feature?
A lot of creators made a big deal about the railgun being a problem, and it IS op for sure, but in practice I don't seem to die to it very much, and the whole thing feels like a non-issue. I hope the same thing will happen with this, or that they remove it quickly.
I've not used if for a couple of weeks but when I have I do get a lot of kills with it, tier 1ing it in just a couple of weeks, but I've probably been killed by it less than 10 times since it released

6 days on and it's working as intended. I F'ing love it, I'm almost 50 and played every battlefield ever, I couldn't wait until I could squad up with some mates and just totally control the enemy vehicles, just like we could on bf3/4 being able to target campback soldiers is a bonus

Actually, I just started playing BF2042 at around Christmas of last year and I really think that the new class system will remove a lot of flexibility for the players. I really enjoyed that I could combine weapons and the abilities of the specialists as I liked. I really think that this was a good thing that now will be removed. :-(
