Its all about controlling speed, and cornering.
I tend to do a "high yo-yo", i think its called. if i see it turning into a circle fight, i basically roll a tad bit so i get a bit of a higher angle on the enemy, and if they dont notice you, you might be able to get a drop on them, or even get completely behind them
I noticed a lot of times, just chipping away a few hit points in a dogfight is enough to quickly make them unsure and break out of the circle, making them easier to hit
Another way, if they're particularly hard to fight, is to try to fly over to friendly ares, like nearby vehicles and such to try to distract or let them or find friendlies to help you take down the other plane
reminds me of the good old BF3 days, when some clan buddies were constantly in dogfights and became absolute machines. awesome what you can achieve in the air!

@@SilkOCE the best time we've ever had. but now the dogfighting feels soulless. you two are doing great but the game doesn't reflect that feeling like it did in the older Bf games
The feeling isn't the same anymore because Bf3 was still a game with competitive support like Clan match Servers and Battlelog with platoons etc. But 2042 dogfights are very fun and and skill ceiling is also high trust me bro.
Spent 99% of my time on bf3 in an f18 or flanker, clan buddy showed me the way, and through extensive hours played, we became God's. Miss those days.

Remember this heli pilots , allways help ur jet pilot to kill the other jet ... keep the sky clean.

I have encountered that guy yesterday 2 matches in a row. He was killing everyone. He's a good pilot but annoying af when he's in an enemy team xD (for 2 matches in a row). Good pilot tho
He is using the vertical to bleed his speed faster to hit his turn rate speed quicker. If hes already at the speed he stays horizontal.
I Played vs him this morning.. hes insane, 5 minutes into the game and he leads the Lobby in Kills and Assist as a Jet player 😅
Can we get (how to get more kills with jet) specialty the soldiers in foot cause every time I crash ,, I didn’t find anyone one explain the breaks with jet 😅

great vid. I really want to know if theres a turning speed like in bf4 cause now when i get into dogfights against a better player, its usually just circling around until eventually they somehow catch up to me. Its always manoeuvering but never OUTmanoeuvering

How can I see the damage amount after hitting enemy vehicle like in this video? When I shoot someone in another vehicle all I see is just the xp. Great video by the way!
Hey silk,you should make some videos flying apache/ka-52 with 127mms + TOW,it's a vehicle destroyer my man,best kit against all vics and with a very high skill ceiling due to tow and zunis being so slow in this game.
It's a fun vehicle but in some regions like OCE it's unusable because everyone and their mother uses Lis and are decent with the recoilless 😂
And there's ALWAYS that one guy waiting for their favorite streamer to get on so they can sit in a railtank and shoot them down
@@llJeezusll Just roll the heli sideways and fake your direction to dodge lis tvs,and against tor or you either fly really high and kill it or you fly low and get close to it

But you aint dodging 6 at a time
Especially against some of the best Lis players in the game that dont have issues hitting nightbirds
If a rail tank is bad yea usually you could just fly to the skybox and kill them. But occasionally there's people that will just pixel spawn camp (aim right where your aircraft spawns and wait with a timer and kill you as soon as you spawn in)
Or just ramp up on a tiny hill allowing them to aim at the skybox
Just gotta get insanely lucky to find a god lobby that'll let you get away with using that heli. Or just queue into EU 😂

Id love a video about dogfighting, ive learned loada about fighting jets of you but when you both know how to do the tightest turn possible i just seem to end up in in a loop with the other guy

I flew when the game came out, and there was no option to disable plane chase camera roll, and I couldn't pitch up while looking behind.

ive noticed the hit reg is fucked since the patch, ive hit birds with rockets and tanks, condors as well as the flying mav and had no rego half the time yet the shell hit them directly.

Wtf impossible to turn these jets so fast... how you do that? Am i missing something? I am using mouse and kb but no way i can turn the jet face to face this fast
As a pc player I use controller for jets. I use mouse for infantry and heli. Mouse jet I found alot harder for the more continuous turns and pulls. Having to reset mouse position can mean death in dogfights.
He has mentioned using keyboard for ailerons. I use this method now along with binding afterburner to w key. It takes some getting used to, but can turn so much better than with mouse only.
Maybe the reason is you play with 3P camera on and thats make the gameplay 'slow' turn it off and you will feel your Jet so much'faster' because the better vision
6:11 with 3Pcam roll for me the gameplay seens so much slower than Silk's pov

I think it is bs that f35 can hiver vs the su 57 like how is that fair? I know its realistic but screw that for a video game. I have a hard time fighting f35s in the sue.

Why 25mm and not 30?
Cuz 30 mm overheats too fast + it has a huge bullet (or shell or round, whatever) spread, and deviation while you pitch the jet. If you will combine it with delays in controls, you will struggle to hit anything, especially in headons.

i dont get why stalling the jet out is not a 'aloud move' to me that seems silly cos its still risk vs reward if the person behind you sees you stalling out they can slow down and get a easy shot on you but if they are not paying attention and they overshoot you then you get the advantage of being behind them but you now lack speed making you handle worse so if you fail your shots then you have just done a failed move it just feels to me that flying a jet is about using all the tools you have to your advantage (ofc not the stupid auto lock missiles though fuck them) otherwise your just looping each other till one of you finally make a mistake and at that point is it skill? or did one of you get bored of flying in loops and wanna try something.
The only thing is, this can’t be done on console.

You use keybinds like space to pitch up. KBM is infinitely better to aim with than a controller.

Jet gameplay in this game is really boring… not complaining about the players, they are really good, cause they take out wine from a rock here…. The jet movement in 2042 is horrible so they do the possible with the little they have to do.

RF deffo a great jet player but u come out as a better one as u said he won outta u cuz u bare played jets and all that when u guys 1v1 first time. He deffo knows how to trow the other pilot but the way u play w ur cam can ez beat it.

So now that this video came out I see Jets stalling out all over the place trying to figure out what you were doing there... They usually die immediately because a stationary jet is a dead jet.
You only stall if you fly to high in the air in this one.
Oh man this like watching maverick vs iceman. Right away I’m just like oh man he’s good. The way he’s cutting those angels to take away shots where you just really don’t have a line on him and you’re forced to rely on hitting him as he’s passing you is insane because at that point when you’re so evenly matched in a dogfight it’s feels like it’s just guna be a battle do attrition. Another thing like you say at 1:26 before even seeing who wins or loses this engagement you can’t deny this is masterful maneuvering because for a sec you do get a line on him but he knows exactly how to take that away. Anyone that’s played jets in a battlefield game knows it’s not all about how much damage you can dish out our how many kills but just can you make life an absolute hell for rival pilots and ground forces. What a great vid very fun to watch the pros go at it!

I find that speed control and knowing locations of threats really helps. You do need to take risks sometimes but I don’t always go full throttle especially if I’m behind someone and in range to hit them. Full throttle to escape after a strafe or flare is wise though.
