DR650 Stand and Clutch Safety Bypass + Kill Switch Fix

- The first 3 modifications undertaken by any self respecting DR650 owner to enhance rider experience and eliminate potential problems is broken down in this easy step by step solution.
These are some of the first mods most Suzuki DR650 owners will do to their bike especially if they are riding offroad.
Suzuki DR650 Side Stand and Clutch Saftey Switch Fix to delete and bypass the side stand switches on the Suzuki DR650 disabling the notorious problematic kick stand switch and possibility of the intrusive clutch switch going bad. Also includes the fix for the Dr650's double clicking kill switch which can also be problematic.

I just got my DR last week,
Every time I forget to pull clutch lever,
I keep thinking it’s dead !! 😜
It wasn't until I upgraded the suspension that I realized just how bad the side stand kill switch is. It was cutting out in whoops and sometimes when I'd get up on the pegs. Thinking I had carb issues but it was actually the side stand switch. A relief to know that all my efforts to clean up and retune the carb actually worked. Time to delete the side stand switch.

The stand switch can be done little easier with just completing circuit
Howsit skids, super easy to follow tutorial 👌 i did all 3 on the weekend along with turning the front indicator brackets upside down to stop them touching the acerbis tank at hard lock also realy easy. would you mind telling me what tyres your on at the moment? Front and back

I agree. There’s definitely like 5 mods that cost less then $10 total to do to the DR right out the gate.

Not sure what you mean sorry mate. To disable the momentary switch you only have to remove the pin, as per video

My dr650se starts on neutral but dies as soon as I rev the throttle or put into gear. Do you know what can be the problem?
No, have you messed with the carb or airbox or air/fuel mixture screw at all lately?

The modification of the kill switch is the only one which maybe has some tiny bit of merit. Removing the other two is somewhere between pointless and dangerous.
I disagree, in fact I argue leaving the stand switch intact is more dangerous because the bike may cut out at an inopportune moment.
The side stand switch will cut out in whoops and could throw you. Ask me how I know. If you're not riding rugged off road, keep it. Otherwise it's a must to delete it to avoid the engine dying at the most inopportune moment.

The kill switch the wires are green orange green yellow yellow black and when i put orange to yellow black the bike starts up with out start. Won't go into gear
