Lovely family!!!! Makes it all worth it. Treasure those moments.💞
@@jeanniehud for sure I appreciate it I’m blessed with the greatest family 🙏 😇
Go to the truck stop and get you one of those big map books it will tell you all the weights all the laws in every state they are well worth it You would have been prepared
I do have one never used it though 🤦🏼♂️ 😂 I have the full atlas
One of the best trucking video, I had never seen a truck driver go for home time.
Thank you so much means a lot 😃
Every day is a learning experience in the life long road. GOD bless you and you family.👍
Thank you very much it’s definitely a fact always learning daily. God bless you and your family also 🙏 thank you
God bless you and your family. Your daughters are absolutely beautiful. Be safe and safe ravels
Thank you very much I appreciate it. God bless you also 🙏
Don't beat yourself up about that. You have many years of Trucking in front of you. And we never stop learning. After 50 years on the road I have had a few citations its part of Trucking with so many states running their own rules. loving the vids.
Yeah I guess it’s part of the job some day it goes great some day it goes bad it’s never perfect everyday there is something new to do or learn that’s for sure. Wow 50 year 😯 thank you so much for the kind feedback and I’m glad you like the videos mean a lot to me 😃 stay blessed 😇
You are crazy tall. I can barely see over the steering wheel. I need ray ban glasses so you can see what it's like to drive 5'2". I lift my seat to max to use the visor at sunset and tiptoe my pedals.
Same as my wife she’s flat 5ft tall 😆 my wife doesn’t really use the sun visor at all
Those bags are call airbags to keep the load from the other skids to touch the other skids to move around in the trailer
I picked up a preloaded trailer from VA and weighted it. I got almost to the receiver, and a four-wheeler pulled in front of me and not knowing my load had shifted. I got that long red light, and I can see them high-five each other through the window. It cost $1900 dollars. The company paid the fine because I weighted it before I left the shipper. I was lucky I didn't have to pay the fine.
That’s crazy 😮 they are always trying to take our money for some stupidness they allowing 44k on tandems but I was past 12th hole by 2 holes and they gave me a $100 ticket didn’t make no sense
I love visiting Florida! If I didn’t live in Texas I’d probably live in Florida. Missed the videos but I’m glad you got to take some home time. I’m ready for my home time in April!
Thank you so much and Texas is nice but you would love Florida for sure thanks for watching and feedback 😃
Just a little tip; make sure to check the front of your Rand McNally atlas. The allowable weights for each axle set is listed for each state. A lot of states are 34k per axle group, but there are several that are higher. When you get a chance, go through your atlas because there is a ton of great info there eg., weight limits, lengths, restricted routes, weight restricted bridges, low clearance locations, etc.
Thank you sir for the tips much appreciated it I will definitely check it out when I have free time I had and atlas since day one in case of any gps failure or road closure to find ways around for trucks. 😃
Beautiful family. Your wife loves you very much and your kids. ❤ I'm sorry you had such a a crappy day, almost getting hit the ticket and then the trailer thing. They say crappy things things happen in threes. At least that's that's the way my life goes. But karma was on your side in the end because you're home with your beautiful wife and kids. Best thing ever. Hang in there driver.
Thank you so much I’m trully the luckiest and the blessed guy on earth to have my wonderful kids and lovely wife who love me and support me I appreciate you and the kind words 😃 🙏 🤝
I live in Idaho and when I’ve headed east and met a driver, they ask where I’m going. I always reply, home. The reply is always, but you’re heading the wrong way. I reply with, I’m just looking for a big enough place in Indianapolis to turn around. I am always heading home.
Yes home is the best place to be especially if you have family 😃
It’s on your Csa score
Actually this one didn’t go on the csa score luckily it’s like a parking ticket she told me and my company checked as well and we’re good 😅
Awesome truck and stay safe
Thank you so much 🙏
Beautiful Family, cherish those moments, they're the important ones to remember.
That lady at the scale was nice about it, most of them would give an attitude and or a hard time but it's a learning curve, because I didn't know about either but maybe if you're not sure, look it up.. You are lucky to live in Florida, I love it there, I miss driving to Florida but I'll get back there soon. I've been to that drop yd/ house. So do you think Prime will have you pick up at Tropicana or Budweiser after your hometime 😅 anyway, like your videos, enjoy your hometime, stay safe, stay blessed and keep doing a great job my friend 💪👍
Hey sir much appreciated for the kind words yeah the lady was nice actually. I love living in Florida. I actually dead headed to Pierson flower warehouse grab empty and headed to bloomingdale Georgia to grab load and ran it to Tennessee. Stay safe 🙏
Was it the Florida bridge law? I think it’s the same as Cali?
I had a load of candle from JB , it was 82k gross,
I left it in the lot. Prime is a good co.
Yeah it their bridge laws no more than 12th hole I was in the 14th but they allow crazy limit on their axels as long as you’re not over the total gross of 80k you’re allowed to have 22k on steers and either 44k on trailer or drives
I’m very surprised prime didn’t tell you about the bridge laws in certain states with the 43 foot mark or further up on the tandems but hey it is what it is you have good days and bad days in this trucking world nobody’s perfect
Yeah I mean we have a sticker with all lengths allowed in each state I just didn’t know about Florida weight laws
@@RunningOTR yeah it’s Florida and a few other states as well I can’t remember them I just know Florida cause I live in Florida as well
@@tyriesingletary3270 nice man what part of Florida you’re at?
@@RunningOTR Fort Lauderdale
@@tyriesingletary3270 you’re not too far from me
Enjoy your home time I love your videos keep up the good work. DOT SUCKS lol
Thank you so much I really appreciate the kind feedback and you liking my videos means so much 😃
Actually you had a good day because you avoided an accident and you're learning experience only cost $100. When you get to my age, you have the attitude: if it's not going to matter in 5 years, forget it. Stupidity? Can't judge yourself if you didn't have the information to make the correct decision. Safe travels, looking forward to video of your vacation with your family.
Thank you so much and yes it was just a learning curve for that mistake it’s disappointing but oh well. Thank you for always watching and feedback
Nice bro ❤❤❤
Thanks 🔥
I paid 250 for left lane violation in north Carolina on 40 first 6 months of otr. I also drive for prime
Wow it’s such a scam with them fines we are supplying the whole us so the officers and their family have food daily but they don’t appreciate us. No one ever does it’s pretty sad. Hi Prime Family 👋 safe travels out there 🙏
I’m not a trucker Can you explain why different states have different regulations regarding the position of the tandems and weight distribution
Hello thanks 🙏 for the questions It’s for narrow roads bridges and bridge weights
Just so you know you can find that kind of information in a ran McNally Atlas
Thank you I have an atlas I just never used it I know the lengths allowed for each state but I didn’t know about the weight allowance in Florida
👍👍🤠
Yeehaw 🤠
At least overweight tickets don't affect PSP scores, fyi Nc allowes you 38000 on axles and SC allows 35,200 you just can't extend the trailer tandems too far back, dont beat yourself up, things happen, enjoy the vacation.
Thanks for the info much appreciated it. Yeah stuff happens I always try and stay positive but that was a bad day. I guess once I’m a long while you have them bad days for sure. Thank you 🤝 😃
Wow I didn’t know about Florida weights were so heavy so I learned something new today too!
Yeah it was very shocking when she told me the weights allowed on each axel as long as you’re not over gross you’re allowed to have up to 44k on drives or trailer and 22k on steers
New laws in every state but they should told you at prime company
I know the laws for Florida I just didn’t care and thought they won’t catch me 😅
But they catch every one over there
@@jefferydil572 I guess so even when it was in the middle of the night 🤦🏼♂️ Florida is always open 24/7 365
You do realize that it can be a major issue if you run your tractor out of fuel.
Yes I know that’s why I try and not to do that too often because it will need the whole system re primed
What do you do on the way home whenm ur bobtailing ? do youi go of duty or is there and option on the EDLT??
I can go off duty or use personal conveyance to get time if I have no hours left
Which part in Florida do you live? I'm in Jacksonville.
I live in Merritt island 🏝️ that’s awesome thank you for watching from Florida 🙏
Im Nisar Ahmad Rahman From Kandahar Cty Contri Afghanistan
Thank you from Afghanistan 🙏
How did you let yourself get so low on fuel?
I usually get a fuel surcharge rate for each load and I typically follow that we get recommended fuel stops too and I delivered a load and didn’t get fuel right after since I was ready to head home I just went straight to pick up the other load and deliver the load ASAP
Why you get a ticket from dot
Tandems were in 14th past 2 holes is only allowed to be in 12th hole
What was your gross weight?
It was 76,560 total
Another reason why (con)federations - such as USA, Canada, Australia - should be abolished and replaced by one, homogenous government with one set of laws governing the whole country - no variations for States, Provinces, Territories &c! In the aforementioned countries there are too many levels of government!!
@@paulbowler2760 I agree with you 💯 percent 🙏
This makes no sense.. Why didn't you weigh before you got there or know the rules in the state you're driving? If they overloaded you, why didn't you go back to the shipper? Why are you placing yourself in this situation?? Sorry, I don't get this at all... dude... ???
They over loaded it on trailer, butit was fine when I slid it back for state of Georgia the weight were all legal coming into Florida I didn’t know you’re allowed up to 44k on trailer it was totally fine for any other state besides florida so my tandems were 2 holes back past 12th hole which is max for Florida
Yep florida allow you to be up to 44 on one axle but georgia you cant go over 34200
I didn't know you could overload the trailer in FL. News to me. Bur I try and balance so every state is legal. It's very unlikely I would do any changes along my route.
I didn't know prime had a florida yard either. Boo hoo.
@@KarenSecor-yw7tc yeah I didn’t know either till this day 🤦🏼♂️ I guess I learn something new on the daily I usually balance my weights so I never have to waste time adjusting or stopping on the way to my destination
