What I liked about Prime, in retrospect, is how they make some aspects of trucking easy once you understand how their system works. That doesn't mean there aren't issues you'll run into but Prime has a lot of systems in place to help you out. If only truck parking wasn't such a pain in some places. P.S. The Joplin/Carthage caves are cool. Some people don't like delivering there but that place is easy to deal with IMHO. I remember the first time I had to go there because they had to grind off a trailer lock from my trailer. A outbound mechanic's intern kid forgot to remove that red lock they put on trailers when he was doing the outbound check at Springfield. So the lesson is always make sure to check that red lock is removed before you leave outbound from Springfield or any terminal.
Great videos of OTR. Brother. I am retired trucker from Waterloo Iowa to Salt Lake City, Utah 😎☝️🏔🚚🚛⛰️🌄🛣🛤🚧🛑🛤⛽️ i still miss the open road. Thanks for sharing 👍🚛👀
@@jamesschaffhausen4466 hello sir thank you I appreciate the kind words from a fellow trucker. I picked up out of Waterloo a lot before at the Tyson. I love the open roads especially the drive west thru Iowa Nebraska Wyoming those are my favorite states for sure. Take care 👋
Yes sir he was very rude and unprofessional honestly I told my fleet manager to find someone else to deliver it because I wasn’t going back again he just came up with a drop plan and leave to another pickup which was nice of him.
Nice brother congrats finally the long journey has ended. You’ll have to do some small upgrade classes and a few cbts depending if you want lease or company and then if you’re leasing you’ll get on success leasing list. Safe travels see you out there soon 🤝
OMG, that Smithfield manager should be fired for talking to anyone like that. I guess in the end, you did leave your trailer even though you were told, at first, not to? That would have been a very entertaining video of the operations manager. I bet you were glad to be out of there. All your videos are interesting, I see your subs are up to 4.65K. Will you be making videos when in driver training school?
Yes I agree he’s so unprofessional and has no morals honesty. Yeah the fleet manager had decided for me to go there and drop the load because I told him I won’t go there and he has to find another driver so he came up with an idea of me to just the drop it there and head bobtail so I was pretty happy. I wish I got him on video, that would have been amazing to see the unprofessional operations manager. Yes I’m currently with a student we’re on the second load I should start recording another video and I have one more video to post before the video with a student. I been training him and setting him up. Thank you 😃 🙏
Guy could have been pissed off all he wants, he told you that you were early, so what’s the difference between you taking your bills and trailer now and coming back when they were originally planned or unloading then? He can go fly a kite 😂
Honestly at prime I never ever had one blow out and they are suppose to be better on fuel mileage and all. I use to work for Cowan in Florida they ran those and they bought the cheapest ones on the market and every week I had one blow on me nothing is wrong with it brand new recap once I had 3 tires blow in a week. Also one of them I found flat when I arrived to grab the load, they came out to fix it and then it blew out on me 70 miles into the trip back to Florida 🤦🏼♂️ but idk primes tires are great and they are recaps
@@RunningOTR these are May Pop brand, because they may pop. If they do start having issues, I’ll buy a set of Michelin. Only thing that bothers me is if one goes down, it can take a wheel too. And you can’t limp it to a safe place.
@@GimpyExpress yes that’s the only downside if it pops you have to get a new rim but if you watch out and see chunks flying off pull over before it completely pops prime runs Michelin brand too so it’s a better tire that’s why it doesn’t pop much
If you ever pick up at Tyson in Waterloo,Iowa that's my hometown . I drove for Gray Transportation and Crystal Distribution out of Waterloo. I was home every weekend. I use to live of MLK heading to Tyson. I could call guard shack on CB to see if loads were ready from my yard. Lol. Stay safe
Yes sir that’s awesome I been to Waterloo once and I took that load to Newark NJ. Wow if you can reach them with your cb you’re definitely very close that’s for sure 😃

Hey I'm in springfield lol my home load always goes to awg
Nice 😀
Not really I hate this place I'm here every other week and every time my delivery is at 0030 and I don't leave until 7-8am

Associated warehouse groceries. Off of division and 65

Yes sir I’m at HEB right now in San Antonio ran some produce from Laredo
