Good suggestions. Most OEMs recommend to place new welds adjacent to the original weld, not in the same spot. Welding on the original weld will over work harden the metal causing fatigue. Some manufacturers like Toyota, Nissan and Honda state to add 20-30% more welds during repairs. I did mention to set the welder according to the OEM service information which would take into account the adhesive in the joint. Thanks for watching.
