I came here tonight because I just saw that President Bush has passed away.. even after all these years it still amazes me how quickly two people like that can pass on. It seems like yesterday I watched this live and now they are both gone 😢😭🗽
Chaos it’s especially sad for me because my grandparents 17 and 16 year olds came to this country right before September 1st of 39 from Belarus my grandpa served with men like him.
@@Katarinarabbit I know how you feel man! I had at least 6 relatives in WWII my grandfather and his 3 brothers along with a few other cousins and great uncles. Only one is still alive and he's not even blood related but he is still family! :'(
Came here after George H. W.'s passing last night. A fun lasting memory I'll have of them. Exceptionally special given they both were recovering from lengthy hospital visits over the prior few weeks. RIP Barbara & George.
Thank you for your service president HW bush, from flying over the pacific skies in WWII, to your Vice Presidency with Ronald Reagan (Rest In Peace Ron), and to your own presidency leading our great country for 4 years, you are a true American hero- God Bless!!
Thanks for posting this! I've been looking for one with good quality. Pretty awesome seeing both of them at the coin toss while being hospitalized weeks prior.
You know - throw your politics in the trash. With years and years to let wounds heal - I think we all gain an appreciation for our leaders of the past. Voted for HW the first time. Didn't the second time. But what an electric, fantastic moment to see an under appreciated human being whose heart was in the right place (could be most Presidents, right?) get to open such a symbolic cultural event in our history. Hopefully, we can put our swords aside to appreciate President George W Bush and President Obama some day and just enjoy our shared American experience. What an awesome moment.
Now that is a great American. In my opinion, the greatest one term US president. The Bush family just seem like really cool people. Someone you could ask for advice on life. Captain of his Yale baseball team, a WW 2 pilot and president! They don't make them like this anymore. His son said it best. "The most decent man I know, my dad." It makes me think of my father and how he and my mom made me into the man I am today. I miss them everyday since they have passed on, and I am so grateful to have had them as my parents. I will see you both again one day. :-)
Of course he had the ability to go to the stadium after being in hospital yet when he has to meet someone he does not like such as Trump, he is a very ill man again
Watching the Bushes entrance brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of a time when presidents had integrity and were worthy of applause no matter where one's political loyalties lay.
Bush Jr. said he was proud of this moment. I think he liked the fact that his parents came out to such a crowd one last time. And still, I somewhat feel like preparing for multiple days, getting out of their beds and riding over half the stadium to do this was slightly ... empty ... Maybe it is just me expecting too much, like a short speech to motivate the players, maybe. Anyhow, he was the last US president, during whose presidency I was not born yet. Sure, his bio seems controversial, but it is still nice of him to do this for his countrymen. Rest in Peace.
He's also the last President to have served in World War II. Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan and George HW Bush all served in WWII.
Was it me or did it seem like the crowd was cheering exceptionally loud for them? Pretty awesome
Lane Meyer Because both were recently in the hospital not doing well. And also maybe people miss the Bush's compared to what we have now.
Lane Meyer he's a former president, he deserves nothing less
they're like old money royalty it seems; literally the king n queen.
Bush 41 was huge in Houston. Their biggest airport is named after him and he lived in the area for a while and did alot of oil business there
Amazing

To think that both of them are gone... RIP
I just found this out because of your comment. I stumbled upon this video just now
They were both in their 90's, and had phenomenal lives! I'll say they were a nice couple!
Avi Greene I was thinking that to myself when he passed away too. If I live into my 90’s, I’ll die a happy man
Ljoyner that look on his face
When we watched this my mom said with a tear he’ll be leaving us soon

This is the kind of respect a president like him should have. I'm so glad they're doing well after leaving the hospital.
I absolutely love that people still call past Presidents “Mr. President.”
now that a president
Thank you for your many years of service President Bush!

How do I bet on the super bowl coin toss?
He got to keep the coin correct
I got here because of the fact that president Bush is now the oldest president ever lived. He surpassed Gerald Ford today. 26-11-2017
He was....
I would like to buy one of the coins they use in the superbowl
the Ref that swaps the guys hand when the coin is tossed is a secret service agent.
Even bill belichick was applauding them.
I wish he was still are president

Bush jr was proud of that moment
How can you not get emotional while watching this. If you don't, you have no soul.
Very emotiomal patriot moment. I like how everyone showed respect Democrat or not
RIP
Now a big fan of the Bushes but Mr. Bush did a great job in maintaining America Great.
Not like these new guys dividing the Nation.
Those 20 years of Reagan-Bush-Clinton were America at it's best. I guess you could only go downhill from the peak.
George HW Bush was the best president we've had in the modern era. I wish he got a second term. He knew foreign policy like the back of his hand.

I heard that George spent weeks practicing flipping coins for that moment so he would do it perfectly at midfield in front of the millions of people
Well he didn't so 🤣
