So glad I watched this, I just started collecting , and bought 3 display box's used for sunglasses. Each have 8 spaces that I have managed to fill already. The box you use is very nice, just went on Amazon, typed in pocket knife storage , and ordered one. Hopefully it will hold more knives than I plan on collecting. We shall see !!!

Man..I need to find me a friend like your friend Jeff, lol.I've never had anyone who knows anything about knives give me a knife..all I get is the occasional gift from somebody who doesn't know what to give me, but knows I like knives so they give me some Walmart half serrated spring assist crap knife, lol. I give away far more knives than I've ever been given.
I really like your storage chest..it's really cool, and I like that you can put your better knives in the top drawer for display if that's what you wanted..
Sweet collection 👌 I actually have the same knife storage box except in a darker color in my cart on amazon from last week so I’m glad you decided to do this video because I wanted to see it on video before I pulled the trigger. My wife saw it in my cart and said don’t you have enough knife storage cases? I said yes but there all full 😎. I started recording a collection video but it will have to be broken up in sections so hopefully I can get it done soon 🤞

I have a Pelican case that I ordered custom foam cut for pocket knives. If I keep buying I am going to have to get another case. The damn foam I think cost more then the case did. I have a couple Blade HQ knife rolls to that are nice for when I travel to my parents house or the other house in AL I usually take a roll with me. I rarely carry more then 1-2 knives but I like to bring some with to play with anyway lol. Or leave empty for when I buy more at gun shows and we have St Nick's Knives 2-3 lights away at the house on the Gulf. I had no idea they were getting Spyderco exclusives. Wish I got that Shaman but they sold out in less then 20 sec it sounds they had a 4v blade and red G10. Only 380 were available like 15 in store rest online. I bring extra guns with me too that I usually never carry or take out to the range when out of town. Its nice to have the little Kahr .380 with though so when I go out walking the dogs I can just drop it in my pocket in its holster and not have to worry about strapping on a belt for the M&P or 1911 or Glock whatever I have with I normally carry.

I mean to each their own but the joy to me with owning expensive knives is carrying them. Unless you have them only as an investment and are planning to trade/sell them one day then I get having safe queens. But to me, I buy them because I like them and want to carry them. But again, to each their own. Great collection!!!
Another great video brother. Pretty cool to get to see “behind the curtain” and I’m always curious as to how other knife guys “organize” their stuff. Since I started collecting only about 8 months ago I’ve tried several different means to organize my stuff. The first was a small, cheap, 2 drawer thing off Amazon which I still use, but it’s no longer near big enough for everything. Next I bought a thing at Harbor Freight that is virtually identical to what Shabazz uses(or at one time anyways). And it’s cool, but overall it’s just a little too big while the space in the drawers are a little too small. After that I saw that Frankie and Bird use the Apache cases from HF and I thought that looked like a great idea so I bought one big one for my modern folders and another smaller one for my slippies, which works great, but leaves most of my stuff not exactly easily accessible. So I’ve had my eyes on what you have, which is made by a small mom n pop place on eBay, as my next attempt at organization, but they’re pretty expensive, so I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. But after having seen your setup and just how much one of those could hold, I will undoubtedly be ordering one soon now. Anyways, awesome collection and video Merman. Always excited to see what you do next.
What's the deciding factor, looks, locks, steel , etc. , when moving from one knife to another when you started your collection?

I use a Pelican case that I ordered custom foam for that was cut to hold I think 44 knives. I have it basically full time to buy another case. The Apache case at Harbor Freight is the same size too think its model 3800. The foam though cost as much as I paid for the case I think lol. You could just pluck the foam but I like having the custom cut foam. I have a couple Blade HQ knife rolls too. I don't put any cheaper knives in my case don't have to many of them but they don't go in there. Cheapest knives I allow in there are US made Kershaws like my Launch knives and my premium Blur and Skyline that have s30v blades. Have it separated by rows since most my knives are either Spyderco, Benchmade, or ZT but I have my share of others like Artisan Cutlery, Kizer, Bestech, Hogue, Protech and whatever else is in there.

Great collection though I’d probably sell off the knives I don’t use obviously besides the ones that were gifts. Idk bout other people but I don’t really keep that many blades. I have like 4 fixed blades, 2 folders and 1 otf. I feel that’s all I really need at the moment unless I get the chance to buy a knife that I’ve been really wanting but haven’t been able to get. But a lot of times when that happens I’ll give a family member or friend a knife as a gift since I’ve pretty much replaced it.
It really shouldn't be that hard to find? I really like that set up do you suppose you couldn't mention the source in your next video. I don't think that is asking much personally, verrrrrrrrrrrry cool looking set up.

Your collection is smaller than I thought. Surprised you keep around things like multiple Ozarks and a S&W when you have just around 20 knives total -- and when you have ones like the Rat that easily cover your beater tasks. I feel like those are blades for people who are either beginner enthusiasts or have so many knives that they don't care about having a few shitty ones lying around. But hey, you do you!
I just love knives. Honestly, the collection might be bigger or smaller, and more selective if I wasn't a reviewer. I handle so many new knives each week that my personal acquisitions are fewer, and further between 👍

I'm gonna be honest, i want that esee izula so incredibly bad.. I've never hounded anyone for anything online and I'm honestly on a little hard financial times right now, but I've been wanting an edc fixed blade for a long while now, and that izula with the beautiful para cord wrap would be a dream come true.. sincerely a desperate fan..
