Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery!
I love those little shots of Rory and BSF, it's so fun see you guys having fun together !
That was the best part!
Haha right, they Crack me up lol
Twice the fun
Loved the stolen ideas clips!
I love when Paul Rory or BSF take the time to make little clips like at the end of this video. They are always hilarious!
Thank you for the help Matt's Off Road Recovery! You guy's are AWESOME! Sorry about the lug nut key. Took it out of the jeep the night before so it wouldn't get stolen, forgot to bring it back out on Saturday. It was a pleasure meeting all of you!
memories were made, lessons were learned, everyone got back safe, all in all, great times, plus, it helped guys with this video,
Just take the special lugnut off and throw it in the scrap pile.
@@TokenTombstone Truer words have never been spoken!
@@jamesthornton1363 The lessons learned part never really sinks in with me.
@@user-je1zl5dv5q Well you are a good sport about it and it looked like you and your crew were having a good time out there.
Impressive repair similar to what Tom Tom did last video with only 2 batteries. But most impressive of all is that Matt remembered to bring a chipping hammer!
More impressive - he didn't run out of gas. I suspect Jamie might have had something to do with this.
Matt *did* have his trusty claw hammer, tho.
@@jimhansen5395 it's a stick welder, no gas needed.
@@tomcardale5596 The CAR needs gas, to get them to the site and back home.
Lol yeah and now that I watched Tom and Matt use 2 battery's to weld I can certainly do it and I can't think of a single thing that could go wrong.
Matt your team is good at what they do and now being able to do trail repairs is a great thing so you can branch out and add this as part of your service. The ending with Rory and Eric was perfect
Matt has learned from Rory about trail repairs and is getting things done. Jayme is the best partner for Matt great job!
But they all had to learn from Eric about using batteries to weld
@@williamflowers8138Pretty well known technique. Just not commonly used as there are often different options available.
The ending was GREAT! You guys can make a depressed person laugh. Nice work Matt. You're growing up so great in your off road repairs. I'm so proud (tear in my eye). Thanks for sharing!!
Sorry you're going through some hard times right now. Hope all gets better soon. Trust me, it will.
❤
Hope everything gets better for you mate! Stay safe

I'm a huge fan of these trail-fix video's, we get to watch a how-to video, and a rescue video all wrapped-up in one,😉👍, Matt really has a claw-hammer with him,🤣, that's funny, I don't care who ya are, thanks for sharing guys.
I'm glad to see Matt doing some recoveries like Rory does. It's better than a pull and push.
That B-roll from the "Other guys" is hilarious! (It's not the first time I've seen it but last time, it wasn't as funny as this! hahaha) Thanks for keeping it light hearted! Great job everyone. Thank you for another great video!
Max looks so cute.... He is so happy to go for a ride.... You can tell he is having a great time...
Hello from Las Vegas Nevada
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
This is not a gripe: just some words of wisdom.. Note to all customers [ if you have locking lug nuts, keep the tool ( otherwise known as the key) in the glove box of "that vehicle" Always] i learned this lesson myself so I'm passing this knowledge on, is all... take for what it's worth..
Matt y'all done great especially in that heat🌞, good job callin help for safety ( you never know, it only takes 1 time😉) keep em comin..👍👍 🐌☕🐢
You might not gripe but we will! KEEP YOUR LUG KEYS IN THE DAMN TRUCK!!!
Or just don't use splined lug nuts. They don't thwart thieves and ONLY screw over the vehicle owner.
Thank you! It needs to be said.
@@Patrick.WeightmanStop thieves here
Let's go someplace I'm likely to need the key and put it in the other vehicle that it definitely won't be needed....silly FEEP owner
Trail repairs are always cool content - its improvising at its best.
ARRRRRGH!!!! Nnow i have to go get a friggin battery powered welder.
Those clips at the end especially Rory's, hilarious. Great work MORR team!
I'm looking forward to the big wrecker ..... I like to see recoveries that include dragging broken vehicles over technical ground ...... when Matt gets to show off his impressive driving skills ..... and more screen time for Jaymie and Lizzy is always good 😊
That welding setup works very well, saved a lot of grief a couple times now.
The repair was impressive but I'm MORR impressed that Matt didn't run out of gas!😀
😄INSTEAD : He ended up in a vehicle that couldn't *STOP* !@
Thanks for bringing the dogs again. They are a great asset to the team and enjoy watching them work. 👍
so many amazing jobs for the wrecker! this hurts to even think about doing this when you have a wrecker sitting in a shop getting worked on
Great Job Matt and Family. 👍🏻. Sometimes things come together when you need them too.
Okay the stolen idea clips were pretty hilarious!😂 Good stuff and another impressive trail repair.
Love the fact you can still learn new things to make recovery easier
Random lady came by with a Matt's shirt and basically had him on speed dial...Jillian? Is that you? Lol
Matt's claw hammer fixes everything. These videos get better and better every day. Such fun.
Gotta love the collaboration between these RUclips posters, and thanks To BSF’s Eric and Trail Maters Rory….definitely the top spot in the video. P.S. he welding was rather impressive also, a total of 48 volts can get the job done!
Lol'd at the "Good Ideas" bit at the end. All you guy's are great!
Max is cool, glad you care so well for all your dogs! We had a black lab Zoe, and she would wander a bit. Always came back. Being from the suburbs with lots of busy roads we couldn't just let her run. Only when we were close by.

You’d think with all the stickers on the fender the Jeep would not have broke..
Also you guys did a fantastic trail repair!
I LOVE THE BATTERY WELDING AND THANK YOU MATT FOR THE INFO ON HOW TO DO IT.
I've had nothing but problems with my apex winch and have returned to my warn 9500ti. But I have had great luck with my ready welder 2 doing trail repair as well as roadside repair. I've also had good luck with my viair 480G system with tank. I've learned a lot from watching Matt, rory and explor life... Tools to live with
Matt, you could build a portable DC welder with a pressure washer engine, an alternator and a battery, and a few inexpensive parts, and it would have adjustable output. Check them out here on RUclips. They are simple to build and use. You could also run some power tools on that welder as well.
Matt and Tom are getting good at these welding in the field repairs!! Think I’m buy one of those welder setups for emergencies!!😃
Any time you need something and dont have it, its an emergency. There is your justification.
@@rodx5571 Agreed!
@@rodx5571 But once you have what you need they won't be needed since then it won't break..
@@TheBibliofilus If only it worked that way. 😋
I could only make it to 11:33 (I got an idea about something) but I gotta say that Matt sure does come up with some GREAT ideas all on his own!! Impressive.
Always nice to see the banna working and making the best of your brains and tools you have to get the job done. I see wreckers all the time and not impressed, they just do what they are made to do hook and go.
Good one, again field repair welding impressive. And the dogs loved running around.
I loved the end where Eric and Rory have empty envelopes and tool box drawers! Good job to all on the repair and recovery of the jeep!
Love Jamies commentary throughout the video! Also didn't know that Colin was a certified welder!
I thought it was Rudy?
Thanks for sharing the battery welding. I've been working on creating my own battery-welding setup and to make it a bit faster, I bought the quick connect terminal connectors which have cam levers on them like you would find on a bicycle wheel. They didn't cost that much off Amazon.
Another fun video and great to see the old boy out even if he was tethered at the beginning. Need that wrecker back.
am watching this video in South Korea There are only a few roads like this in South Korea I think it's amazing to watch it all the time
Wow Matt...! Finally Rory has some competition now. Well done to the Saturday-team!
What a family you and Jaime have.Met your youngest son a couple of weeks ago at the yard. You and Jaime were just leaving in the white jeep, stopped to wave and say to me and another couple. Appreciated that Matt. Maybe next time i make my Utah run i can finally meet you. Last year, met Lizzie Jefe and Ed. Jolly good day that was. Old guy from Oregon.
HEY! Good MORRning everybody and thumbs UP to Matt and crew! It is 53 degrees this morning where I live , over cast sky's and some light showers. LOL 👍
where is you?

@@JanelleVocate-Ames , Thank you and yes it is. I am about 35 miles south of the Canadian border in Northern VT, 🌄
Chad needs to get it in gear Matt definitely needs his heavy wrecker!😂
Nice job MORR team for another excellent job getting them out!❤
Your giving it your all and it's showing..trailmater got his eye's on you. Nice job. Hey max .always a pleasure to see max out and about..good puppy..
nice cut away to the stolen ideas. Always a good watch. Thanks MORR
I think all vehicles should come with an E-brake like the old Truck Tractor emergency hand brake, that you could twist the adjuster on the handle to adjust the E-brake. That system is awesome. For those that have never seen them, It was a hand brake, and If your E-brake started getting to where it didn't work, you just twist the top of the E-brake handle and it adjusted them to where they would. If you adjusted them to tight, you wouldn't be able to pull the E-brake until you twisted the handle back and loosened them up a little. You could adjust your E-brake in 5 seconds while sitting in the driver's seat. It was genius.
You are living the dream.
You and your team absolutely amazing.
Y’all are so darn crafty!
Glad to see Colin & Max on the trail.
Hello... Matt's Off Road family... Hope all are keep safe and sound... ❤️❤️❤️❤️... Tons Of Love From "NAGALAND"... 🙏🙏❤️💗
Lol at Rory with the tool drawers ! That was a good one.
Great job of fixin that on the trail like that Sir !
Thanks to the whole team for doin what you do plus goin the extra mile when needed!
Thanks for Sharing Your Adventures and Talents with Everyone ! ✌️❤️🙏
Oh man! Sad to see a Tank Green wrangler broken! Glad you got it out!
The friendship & collaboration you and your team have with other youtubers such as Eric, Rory, Paul, Rudy, Chad etc, etc is fantastic. The little snips you have of them in your videos is great!
Jacking on an incline and then crawling underneath is my worst nightmare. Nice job staying alive.
Just wanted to say a big thanks too all of u guys! Great family and friends/ employees ☺️ and love the battery welding 👍👍👍
Oh and yes , very funny ending 🤣
great video as always :) Idea for another one......think about all the damage that the vehicles you have rescued and do a video about the self help gear that everyone should have; tools, straps, winch gear, assoc. of nut and bolts etc. and how to organize it.
What I love about your channel and mostly you Matt, is that you are humble, you are respectful and you ALWAYS give credit. Hope your message is relayed far and wide.
As many of these repairs as you see, you should make a couple pre-bent straps. I also wonder what rod is used on the cast steel? Simple LH 7018 or a stainless rod ? Looks like it welds pretty well for where it's at.
Thats impressive! Ive done plenty of DC welding in the past but have never seen it doen like that. Great job Matt and family. Love seeing Jamie on the recovery jobs, she brightens up the scenery for sure. Great family Matt, ya'll are a joy to watch.
Great fix. Poor Max! Being made to behave.
Really enjoyed the banter! Jamie, you are a natural in front of the camera. As always, Matt to the rescue!
Ideas folder/bins is hilarious!!!! I love seeing all of the off-road guys working together..... and Robby. LOL
My company has one for deep underground weld repairs but they sell a suitcase battery powered welder. They are pretty badass for what they are. I thought it would be a joke until I used one.
Glad to hear the banana is getting a welder. Love to see it on recoveries and wheeling!
Gonna have to come up with some more ideas for Eric and Rory 😂 but overall another successful off road recovery
Rory looking for all his good ideas in the empty drawers yelling Matt🤣🤣
Great content! Making do with very little or sketchy means shows resourcefulness. I also enjoyed the cameos from Eric and Rory. 👍
9:22 might not look great to some but I’m impressed with how well Collin welded that up with some battery’s 😂
So nice to give him credit in the end. His trail repairs are on a high level.
I was going to say,
Trail repairs? That's so Rory of you. 😂
BSF was the first off road recovery channel I watched...then I got a recommendation for Matt's off road recovery... then for trail mator... love em all!
Gotta say...just watching soo many videos has helped me outta a jam more then once now!
Different recovery ! I miss seeing Ed on the Recoveries !
Well done Morr crew.....always a way to Giterdun !!.... great cam shots & editing
Great going back to the old days sort of. Matt working hard as always but nobody continuously questioning his methods. Matt always gets the job done.
Jamie, I've noticed you have been getting trimmed up in the last several episodes. You look fantastic. Whatever you have been doing is working. Great job.
Haha loved seeing BSF and Rory make an appearance. 😂
Modify your alternator with a bigger bridge rectifier for welding, Tom this is your arena!!
Awesome recovery job well done.
Happy Mother's Day, Jamie!
That was a great video can't wait to see you do more repairs out on the trails
I remember the days of not even wanting to bring a winch along or mounting one because of the extra weight now we're installing a welder in the banana lol awesome love the channel guys, wicked video AS USUAL. best channel in RUclips by far
Good MORRning everyone!
Great job Matt, wife & son, super impressed on the work you all did.♥♥♥.
That was quite the audience out there watching during the field repair!
Awesome work. BTW, I drive by Chad's Fab nearly every day to get to the train. I think I caught a glimpse of the wrecker's backside once. If so, the videos really don't do a good job showing just how large the world's largest wrecker is. That thing is a beast. You're going to have it so much easier when it's back in your hands.
Great job Matt. It’s great to see Matt diversify. Doin welding jobs when it’s possible. Hope you get the welders installed in the Moor, Banana and Wrecker.🤙😎
You know what's weird ? I've done a lot of stick welding in my life and the second you struck the Arc and I saw it burning and saw the vapors coming off, I could smell it at home.
It's funny how your mind works.
Awesome to see more of Jaymie (sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) contributing to the video. Love your videos. Keep up the good work 🙂
You didn't spell it incorrectly. Everyone ELSE spells it incorrectly.
The ending is epic. True genius! I know it wasn't "written by a professional" because they are on strike. You guys did so much better than they could have ever done!
Love the battery welding, what a good trail repair.
The production quality is sooo good. The little side shots with Rory and BSF are well written and laid out. Can't wait to see new WLORW all dressed up and ready for work.
Seeing the batteries wired together to weld brought me back to a trip over the Rubicon back in the 70's. One rig, a Toyota Landcruiser, broke the pitman arm. He was able to weld it up and make it out to Meeks Bay. Then he made it back to Placerville, ordered a new part from Stancils' Toyota, and continued to drive the vehicle to work until the new part arrived. He figured he put close to 500 miles on that trail repair!
Guessing you used 6011 or 6010 welding rod, your electrode should be positive on DC power. Both are great for dirty metal welding. If you used 7018 rods, it would also be electrode positive.
Loved the clips of eric and rory. Good job getting that out especially without brakes
Love how the gang contributes to each others videos. Much success amigos
Max looks so happy to be with the team!
Another great job! Having had a taste of what the wrecker can do, I know you have to be thinking how much easier it would be!
I am really amazed by the skills that Matt has and used in the weirdest locations!
I really like you give credit to your fellow RUclipsrs. To have Eric and Rory do a skit of stolen ideas ! Great job.
I love the way you Utah boys get along! You make us Utah natives proud of our State!
Everyone wants to be like Rory! 😂
